Mystery Semi-Auto .50 BMG
Holy crap! It happened again! I put this video up and it was demonetized within a day! I can't figure out what KZread thinks is wrong with it! So I covered up everything that I could possibly think was offensive to them (and did it in proper ghetto style) and I'm trying again.
This video was on my channel several years ago and I took it down because I was in the middle of a demonitization campaign by the tech overlords. I've added a bunch of stuff and made some comments along the way. If you know anyone who has built one of these rifles please put them in touch with me! I'd love to do a Part 2!

Im glad you reposted this and made the "edits" so obvious. It really puts an emphasis on how ridiculous youtube is.

Mind you, there are videos of 'naked yoga' that are still up and still viewable on this platform. I mean it's age restricted but it's basically 1 step away from actual pornography. Also don't search it up because you don't wanna see it, as 'week old roast beef' comes to mind.

@@shred1894How dare you say my third cousin of my second cousin, cousins thrice removed who loves posting her sunrise nature’s clothing yoga reminds you of a week old roast beef. Now if you were talking about those “Brazilian waxing training videos” now that’s a different story.🤣

Mark, I can bet you this video will also be demonetized and I bet it had nothing to do with the screenshots of the website texts or blueprints on the first video. The guy literally assembles a "homemade" 50 cal on camera, which is apparently a no-no for KZread standards even when the firearm in question is a one-off prototype/proof of concept and is the only known example in the world.

@321JKilla Ha, you may be right! I guess if this one gets demonetized, the next iteration will have the assembling of the gun cut out.

I love how KZread claims it's for "safety purposes", but when you can't even show how to properly load a gun safely, how is that for "safety" purposes?
The info on the old website actually looks more professional than redacted government classified papers 🤣
Mark you think you have it bad imagine how the reloading community feels. Some of the best reloading channels have given up on this platform.

This platform is dying and will become like Facebook. All the exiting and controversial stuff is other places.
Glad I saw the pre-edited version. Very annoying that YT dinged your previous video
I'm never one to make fun of ingenuity and manufacturing. We can all learn things together but marks made some excellent points!
This world needs more smart-assery. In a world where too many just want hand-out help, or crumble at first question...the crucible of smart-assery is a measure of separating wheat from chaff. And so entertaining.
Ratcheting barrel nut sounds like the barrel nut on a Remington 870 Wingmaster.
Good luck Mark on getting monetized! 😁👍
My EDM Arms Windrunner has a ratcheting barrel nut and has no problems with .50BMG. The takedown and assembly are quick and easy. It makes the disassembled gun in the fitted case shorter and handier than the case for the GM6 Lynx, which is a shorter assembled gun with no takedown.
At 6:15 you can notice the sun shadow is moving from cuts. Thanks for the video Mark! When ever I watch your design videos I wish I had a lathe and better mill
This still has my thumbs up from when it came up, what yesterday or day before?
Giant ratcheting barrel nuts are how they get ya.
Thanks Mark! Marry Christmas 🎁🎄🎉
Happy New Year Mark!!!
YT: saving humanity one video at a time. This is my grandpa, he has since moved to Mexico
Happy New Year Mark!
the sharpie goes crazy🔥
Merry Christmas Mark!
🤘🥳🤘 HAPPY NEW YEAR MARK!
Thanks for sharing !
That test jig seemed way over complicated.
Thanks Mark. I would love to have the prints and know what the bolt issues is. I know it can’t be discussed on YT.
This guy used a modified version of Bill Holmes 50 cal design. That's why he has a good barrel nut but poor mag design. Bill Holmes design was a single shot and this guy just added the magazine under it using Bill Holmes magazine build for his pistol. That is why the magazine is made from the thin metal and no mag well. He did away with the locking bolt and added a dual spring and buffer .
Merry Christmas Mark, and "Ba Humbug" to the Nannies at YT
and here I thought I was losing my mind.
Frankly, to me personally, the BFG-50A is the best semi-automatic 50bmg rifle, fight me barrett owners.
Glad I got to watch the other video first so I actually got to see everything do you have a way to get to that information? Somewhere in the ether?
Keep it up brother,
Thank you
Ayy! Notifications worked!
Video version 2.5?
If you get a copy of those blueprints and decide to look into it further I'd be interested in see if you could make some improvements and make an actual usable model/prototype.
Man i want a 50. Semi be sweet but honestly for my purpose kinda impractical. Id waste too much money haha. Plus im a lefty, so dont need extra gas to the face. I finally found 2 lefty bolts that look to be well made but i may still go with a serbu since we know their made well.
As I read some of the comments I come to understand why you had to repost this ytube needs to stop the censorship there was nothing in this that was offensive six stars brother
Go Mark.
Hey man, have you considered forwarding the schematics to Brandon? I think this would interest him a great deal!
There's a reason why a semi-auto 50 BMG is 10 grand and up. It was nice of you to put the single shot out there.
The edits would seem to be so he could cut out measuring the recoil distance. Were the sensors you described very cheap back then? This guy was probably a machinist or CAD designer with too much time on his hands.
Mark you can build it please do it, It would at least make a good series.
Any chance that you can post to rumble uncensored?

Red urethane???
I bet the You Tube " " bla bla whatever thinks the stand that holds the pew pew is the actual rifle assembly
looks like the Stoner SR50
Videos like these push me to try and at least actually design a firearm (I know it will fail horribly)
make it mark
Dell hyper, interesting name maybe last name is Dell? or he wanted Dell to buy that from him later on.
Maybe the mag was meant single use (we totally mean it this time, super duper serious pinky swear).
hah hah, that's why you've posted this like 3 times. I was wondering why you were so enthusiastic abou this video. stupid YT.

YT really doesn't like it and Mark's re-uploading it with edits to try and figure out why. Because Google can never actually explain why they hate firearms.
The edit between shot is cause it never picked up a 2nd round when fired.
Can Alphabet's demonetization bots read title cards?
!
I think this is your third upload of this... Is the Tube taking it down because they suck that much where it come to free speech?

not sure if Mark realizes some of his vids aren't of the best quality or that riveting. usually have something interesting, tho
Maybe the guys will respond better of you would be more polite, but it would definitely be interested in a follow up. How much thicker do the magazine walls have to be to stand up for the task? Just make the metal gauge grow with the bullet size? A waffle pattern on a magazine always makes it stronger. Or some long grooves. How would you do the catch on the back of the magazine? Isn't that exactly how the AK47 does the trick? I really don't get why Brandon is trying to be smart and reinvent the wheel. Just size the AK47 up to fit a 50BMG, and then leave the controls and the stock about the same size as the AK47. That should fix the deal. So to be clear: Just get a AK47 CAD model, scale the whole bunch up so the 50BMG fits in the chamber. Then put the AK47 stock and controls of regular size on. Use that as a reference. Tidy up the sizes, and then you are done. Its that easy. Would it be safe to shoot? Well, you could of course do math on the sizes you get from the CAD scaling up. Maybe its all good (and I think its all good). Greetings, Jeff
I recon this bloke wears braces with his belt. But I'm pretty sure his Trousers have been known to fall down anyhow. Anodized braces mind.
