"Five years ago I trained back and rear delts with him..." That should almost be sufficient time for recovery from a Dorian Yates session. Perfect time for another round.

Like I saw someone who looked fucking big doing flat dumbell crossover tricep extensions. It really was a part of his tricep workout. It's always about the mind muscle connection.

Thanks for this , I just got back to training after taking a long period off , I am 45 now and obviously my body needs work but I’ve been putting through my old workout programs but as you guys said I’ll have to start changing things up with all the new exercises to isolate various weak areas. Watching Dorian and yourself attack the gym is motivating and I am excited about this new but familiar challenge. So far two month’s in, cleaned up the diet and I’ve noticed some nice changes that have me pushing even with a demanding job working with the vulnerable sector . Appreciate the back & forth reinforcing that I am doing some things right and some tweaks need to be made. Always learning & always humble. The gym & everything with it has evolved since me and the lads marched around the gym. Thanks again !

Dorian has the most disciplined mindset of any big name champ. By comparison, Ronnie is far more popular because of how flashy his training is, but his success was from genetics. And now Dorian is much healthier despite being older. Dorian is so much more professional than all the rest. Also, Blood and Guts is still the best bodybuilding footage ever.

I watched this today before going into the gym... and I had the most intense work out I've had in a long while. Something about the low key delivery he had, when he was trying to motivate the lad into paused reps.... "see if you can do 4, if not 2, if not 1..." but you could still feel the fire to push yourself radiating from Yates. And then later on, when he says he can't really work out like that anymore, just a few exercises and legs. The other piece of experience I gleaned was, sometimes people just need to be shown what's up and it will click. Once they have been there they can find their way back. This video wasn't so focused on the science or, what routine is best etc, but more so a philosophy and approach you need to have and deliver with purpose. Thank you so much for this, it's almost like I was able to train with Yates too. I definitely found a big piece to the puzzle.

Most people in that gym probably don’t realize they are in the presence of bodybuilding royalty. Dorian has reached and mastered the pinnacle of physique building multiple times.
