    At 27:03, can someone tell me if Eric blundered mate in 3. RC1, king takes Rh2, Qh6, king g2, Qh1 mate? Eric could delay for one move after RC1 by blocking with Qe1, but isn’t this forced mate?

    The tight time controls make for good entertainment but it is barely even chess when time constraints start to play a major role. There are skills involved that just are not what anyone would describe as being required to play chess.

    The queen never was on e6. Eric premoved his queen on e6 in case white took Eric’s bishop on e6. White instead moved back his bishop to b3, so the premoved canceled…

    @@miked2543 It's optimal play- trivial moves like recaptures save a lot of time if you pre-move them. He isn't premovng anything crazy like Hikaru, it isn't meant to be difficult to follow, it's to save time.
