From that teaser graphic, I really thought you got a new look. Was it some meme I don't understand? I'm 78 years old, so forgive me. But watching you has brought my game up from 1100 to 1400, so not to old to learn.

Thursday night, an IM Rosen upload, life is good.
Love these videos. Much thanks Eric for brightening my day more than it was before :)
Not quite related to this video but I posted a few vids ago in your speedrun video that I went from 500 to 800. Well now I'm at 1000. This is unreal, but, seriously, yo have no idea how much your simple series helped me, please please please keep it up and once it's done consider doing more videos where you explain your reasoning like that because it is SO helpful Once again, thanks
It's very interesting to watch this right after a Speedrun episode, with the thought process on a whole other level.
Keep it up Eric. It's a pleasure to watch you work!
Late night upload, just the right time ❤ thanks for all you do eric
awesome video quality, thank you for the headings
Brilliant, every game a full game to the end, even the ones you lost, were mainly time. Well done Eric!
Congrats! That was exciting!
Amazing playing!
it's cool watching eric in his element as opposed to the speedrun videos where he has to dumb stuff down for us mortals. still love the speedruns but this was cool to see a different side
That thumbnail tho!!!
1st game is against Luison
that first game was rad as hell. wp!
Would you consider going for the GM title? Your play feels so knowledgeable but also calm and collected.

I don't understand the obsession with the GM title by chess fans (well I do, I get that it's the top of the top and people are attracted to that.) The reason Eric doesn't go for the GM title is likely because he doesn't care to. He is still a better chess player than 99% of players and he has a successful career. More successful than plenty of GMs. He would have to likely abandon the success of his career just to commit to studying chess, something he's probably not interested in seriously commiting to at this stage of his life. I'm willing to bet Eric likes what he does now. It's not an unreasonable question, it just bugs me how people hound IMs with the question. He's a great player. If he wants to go for GM, he will. But I don't think he does.

@@kruksog Why wouldn't anyone not want to aim for the best? No one starts playing chess professionally wanting to stay in one position. GM is the highest achievement, Eric deserves it.

Eric would have to waste at least a year studying chess all day every day and even then it's not completely guaranteed, It's simply not worth the effort when he already has a good career
25:35 no reaction? :(
56:58 "Let's just go with b4." Agadmator's move! :)
great games, I enjoy watching your games while I pretend to be working in my office
fun video 🎉
You never should have told Zhigalko the secret about never resigning when you have a knight.
Hard to watch❌Hard while watching✅
Gigachad Rosen looks lit ❤
1:32:19 most emotional Eric loss reaction 😂
Let's go!!
So... where's the Hikaru clip?

Yeah right, I want it too :(
It's so difficult to keep up with GMs in endgames, they just blitz out non-blunders thirty times in a row while gaining time.
For your heart rate to reach 130+ presumably just from adrenaline is incredible
I would have bet against you on that first game Eric. Epic comeback.
well well well
152 heart rate for chess is wild.

Yeah, damn dude. That was weak
Did we get the Hikaru reaction from game 3?
Btw in game one in accelerated dragon the move is 19 Rg5! with a good position:)
Up a queen surprised me you didn't trade more aggressively. Gave up the exchange, but plenty of knight trade opportunities earlier in the middle game to save time.
11:30 after Rfc8, g4 wins, threatening g5 to remove the defender of d7
1:31:58 Is why I take their knights first. Bishops are easy to pay attention too but knights are confusing when its rushed.
Lol Luison (LuisFSiles) is also a great content creator for us Spanish speakers 💪
Oh no I'm up a queen against Kovalev 😂
At 11:26 after Rc8 doesn’t g4 kicking bishop then g5 kicking knight just win the d7 Knight?
can anybody tell me how (and what tools used) to make a my own gigachad face in the thumbnail? I really wanna know Thanks in advanced!
25:28 Did no one clip it? 😢
12:41 why not take A6 with bishop?
01:22:31 - Does c6 work there?
Wow some great games except losing from a -6 position (-16 at one point lol) against Zhigalko
Gladiator 2, in a theatre near you, starring....Eric Rosen!? 😳
13:49 Is that me or someone with a similar name? Can't remember. Anyway, I appreciate your appreciation.

Yeah shame :(
The comment in chat about why "pinning your own rook is the top computer move" refers to the computer suggesting Rf2 for white at 8:50. To be honest, I'm not seeing the point either. Is it simply to bait black into winning the exchange back because the dark square bishop is too powerful?
@lmabacus404
14 күн бұрын
I think the idea is that black's bishops are too active and white's b2 pawn is too weak for white to maintain being up the exchange. So of the two ways to defend b2, Rf2 at least frees up the c rook to infiltrate. And if black wins back the exchange, at least that's one fewer piece that can threaten b2. Though the engine has Rc2 and Rf2 as both being drawing in the end.

Thanks for the explanation IAM 1400 now 👍👍😆
The game with Zhigalko, you were up +6 and still lost...
i just despise heartrate monitors
Chadric Rizzen
Why not at 58:00 take knight with knight and check?!?!? Then you can take the rook next move. Dont you just win a piece there???
Didn't knew chess can burn so many calories
Bring chad back Eric ❤💋
The thumbnail is out of control 😂
When i can't sleep I watch some minutes of your videos Eric..maybe put some light music on the background?
really out of the mind
What's up with the potato?
You are so good at tactical game but you play boring crap like London, closed Sicilian, Italian, Queen’s gambit. Play Fischer-Sozin attack, Najdorf, old Benoni, Ruy Lopez so we can see some show to get exciting chess. You get so many Carlsbad structures in your games that doctors should recommend you as treatment for insomnia.
You noob in one video you win GMs and in the other you are in a 5.00 or more losing postion vs a 1.700 elo trolololol
