Awesome
my favorite was the stafford game
The number of times Eric's written "Stafford", this was bound to happen
The game at 3:55 took Eric a total of 7 seconds off his clock. He makes it look so easy.
"Two minute bullet game with no time to calculate? Of course I should enter the Stafford Gambit against the literal expert on the opening." Said literally everyone in that tournament. I mean, amazing content, but also baffling decision making there.

19:40 insane that white is plus 7, but after forking the quuen and bishop with a PAWN, the eval drops to equality. Insane stuff!
It is kind of amazing that Eric literally knows more about this opening than anyone who has ever lived.

7:40 is my favorite. I really love the Stafford Gambit because it leads to such stable and equal positions that slowly translate into favorable end games with precise play. 🤣🤣🤣
Love how he named each time stamp Stafford Gambit Time
Sooo much venom in the Stafford! I mean, I get it why Grandmasters hate it in classical games but when Eric gets to play the Stafford in blitz it's almost unfair.
Here when it was titled Staford Gambit. 🙂
This video reminds me of Ben Finegold’s Smith Morra lecture, where he spends half the video ridiculing Loek van Wely for accepting the Smith Morra against Esserman, who knows that opening better than anyone in the world
My fav was vs FM marantz3 that pin on the bishop was so cool. Pinned not to a piece but pinned to a mating square. Awesome.

Whenever I hear "There's a funny line" I immediately know I'm in for some galaxy brain moves
If Ken Smith got to put his name next to the Mora gambit, surely the Stafford-Rosen gambit is a more appropriate name.
One thing I love about Eric's KZread videos is he never puts out content for content's sake. He lives it, and shares it when he finds it.
4:43 "It's been at least 5 so far"
14:11 Him yelling the rook is so cute😂😂
When you’re 2700 ELO, but 4500 when playing the Stafford.
i loved it when he played the stafford gambit
Always grateful for you, showing the Stafford gambit… As I love playing it!
14:12 and 14:29 I love how he said "THE ROOK!!!" like Gotham 😂
My favorite part is where he yelled ITS STAFFORD GAMBITING TIME and Stafford Gambitted all over his opponent.
I watch every video you upload. Best instructional and entertaining channel out there. Go Eric!
This is a good demonstration of the fact that it's not about how sound your opening is, it's about how well you have studied it, and how easily you can play it when out of theory, whether you know the structure, plans, weaknesses, etc.

I grew to love the Stafford since I first saw it from Eric in 2021 and I have got to be good at it. Cheers Eric. And keep on doing the amazing vids. And throw in a couple of lesson vids as well.
My favorite part is when eric yelled "it's stafford gambit time!" And then he gambited all over the place
The chapter titles are the cherry on top
Outstanding work, Sir!
Eric Rosen has stafford mastery🔥🔥
It’s SO funny seeing how fast people dig their own graves. I just think of an old Disney cartoon of someone enthusiastically digging a hole with a huge smile on their face and they are sinking rapidly, and a caption saying “unaware average joe playing against the stafford gambit”
Oh so satisfying. This video is a bliss. Thanks Eric!
erick you are the magician of chess. thanks for the learning.
Eric just keeps on making me love the Stafford gambit even with its defects.
Thanks for taking all the time and trouble it must have been to edit out just the Stafford games from such a huge stream. I'm kind of speechless honestly. I mean this could have been a course on Chessable selling for $30 over there. I share your enthusiasm for this nutty yet dangerous line.
My friends can’t understand how I could possibly be laughing so hysterically at a chess video

Great video, great ideas. Really helped me.
He whips out lines as if he’s doing chessable training
The funny thing is that if you were playing Eric and he pursued SG you'd accept just because it's a bit of a good story to say you tried to defend SG against Eric Rosen.
Nice Eric! This will be a nice update for the Bible! working on it today to refine those lines!
Nice! As a casual chess player I'm trying to build my understanding of the game around the Stafford Gambit.
At 14:25, Eric saying “the rook”, shaking the screen intensely and saying “grrrrr” would not even scare a goose :). And not sacrificing the Queen just to be civil was also a very dignified way of slaughtering the opponent.
this is the best chess video ive ever watched haha. THE ROOKS!!!🤯
Wow 30 minutes of real ADRENALINE! Loved it!
These gambits are my favorite way to learn to see tactics. I play Stafford a lot with black, and Danish and Smith Morra with white. The Smith Morra is new to me and really hard to remember, but I suspect it will be worth the effort. Thanks to Eric, I have won numerous arena tournament games in under 12 moves with the Stafford. Lots of fun.
this is great content!
Been a sub since 2020, love to see u still playing Stafford with a cup tea/coffee to sip on while the opponents are brain scrambling to refute it
Wooow genius man, you know all the lines 🔥😍
Love the Stafford, such a dubious opening but beats decent players
Ty for the content 😘
I want you to look up for Boden kieseritzky Gambit. This is basically tempo up Stafford Gambit and if they accepted it is very difficult to neutralize and the moves are counterintuitive!!
Stafford Gambit, Eric Rosen's gambit
Great win!🏆
5:11 "The screen has to shake intensely" *one intense shake later* "I just minimized all my windows"

I would like to thank you for getting everyone to play the insanely easy to refute/destroy Stafford Gambit.
"Dubious but highly venomous opening". Yeah I'm starting to see that. Constantly playing black (so i can practice the Stafford) against Aron (700) who always responds with e5... my breakthrough came last week. One of life's "Wow, I did it. It works" moments.
Yesss we need more stafford gambit videos
Omg i missed you bro havent watched you in 2 years ❤❤ i haven't forgot the name when i'm back to playing chess i remebered you the stafford is amazing 😂
At 18:14, Eric playing Rf5 and pre-moving pawn takes f5, leaving his queen hanging was a very scary moment. Could have broken the Stofford winning streak. With 30 seconds on the clock, up material, looking at chat, what could possibly go wrong? 😅

I’ve never even seen this many people accept the stafford gambit
he goes so fast from "stafford gambit time" to a beautiful win
The time stamps just repeatedly Stafford Gambit Time
great vid
the thing that made me laugh the hardest here was the time section notations. @eric - do you have a chessable course on the sg? would be also interesting to see a bit of review of the few games where you got into a bit of trouble and what moves you should have played
So when are we officially changing the name to the Rosen Gambit?
I love when he said “it’s Stanfording time!”
@9:08 Eric, Bxg3 and that would've won you a pawn plus potentially traded those bishops that you were eager to trade!
Gotta admit, after you achieved the pawn cube... I never looked away and missed the rest of the game admiring it.
haha, every chapter is called "Stafford Gambit Time'. How helpful :)
My little stockfish phone app goes 5 f3 Bc5 6 c3 and the problem for Black is that not having central pawns makes it very hard to crack open White's position. Against this gambit White can simply go steady, plant two pawns in d4 and e4, and just smother all the fireworks.
