Well, you promised, and delivered. My Christmas is now made. Wendy singing, felt like I was watching live at Kings college Cambridge, on Christmas Eve. The voice of an angel, UNTIL........ she started snarling and shouting at the GoPro! Great video Roy, I love catching up with your adventures as it’s an area I used to cycle regularly before moving south. Strangely my children assumed that it was me in the video as apparently we look identical in cycling kit.

Love this video - and so nice to get a mention. Sadly this weather here is very ordinary at the moment. Lots of rain and overcast skies. Have a great Christmas Roy. Our ride in July was one of my highlights of 2023, thanks once again for that. Ride safely on those ❄️ roads.

Talking of cafes near Harringworth, am sure there is a cafe (or two) in Harringworth itself but I always seem to visit at the wrong time of year or day and they are closed. One cafe I have visited and can highly recommend for sitting outside on a good day is The Barn Tearooms in Rockingham. Will have to check out the Hill Top cafe! Who doesn't love talking about cafes - another cheap and cheerful one in the the Belvoir area is Lakeside Fisheries.

My favourite Flanders and Swan is the one - it all makes work for the working man to do . Apt response to her indoors when she comes up with jobs . Super end of 2023 video . What a lovely end to 2023 Ride with Roy. Is there no end to Wendy's repertoire? A medley of carols and Flanders and Swan thrown in. My one wish for Christmas is that everyone could experience the pleasure I get from riding my bike, life is so much better on a bike. A really nasty cold is doing the rounds, I had it first and now my wife has it. My chest infection is a lot better so today I managed 10 miles on my bike. It was like having a tonic. I'm preparing two Christmas dinners as my wife is laid low so can't help. My son and daughter, with their partners and children, can't now make it on the same day. So we'll celebrate on Christmas Eve and again on Christmas day. Luckily I like turkey as we'll be eating it two days in a row. Wishing you and Wendy a lovely Christmas and great cycling in 2024.

That cafe in Bulwick sounds good, I never realised it was there, when CTC Peterborough ride that way we go to New Lodge Farm Cafe, which is also a good cafe.

Those Santa’s were the Vale of Belvoir Friday Ladies Christmas Ride. I saw them too in Orston village, whilst out on my ride. I must have been only 5 minutes in front of you. I’d been to Little Jacks.

Mud, Mud, Glorious Mud, Nothing quite like it for calling the blood, so follow me follow, down to the hollow, and there let us wallow in glorious mud! Could almost be written for off-road cycling (or even on-road cycling at this time of year).

Great video you two. 👏 Sorry to tell you but I'll be doing a bit of gloating myself. From now (Dec 22) thru Christmas Day I will be enjoying sunny, 50°F weather. 😊 Congratulations on the success of your channel. I remember the first video of yours that I watched. The thumbnail pictured you inside a car and I think the title was something along the lines of 'Want to Talk About Those Cyclists'. Don't remember if I wrote a comment though. I'm curious. Roy, when you first started regularly doing these videos did you feel a bit self conscious talking out loud to an invisible audience? You appear very professional on camera. Wendy, thanks for the carols. I know it's quite a job trying to sing while riding. Roy, your voice isn't bad either. 😊 Happy belated birthday Roy. 🎂 May you have many more and enjoy continued good health. You both with your families have a Merry Christmas and a happy healthy 2024. Thanks, Linda. You didn’t hear enough of my singing voice to make a judgement - so be thankful😀 As for feeling self conscious, I used to do a lot of speaking to groups of people in my work so I don’t have a problem with it - I can also edit out any mistakes 🙂 My first very first video was the Ribble CGR review, where I spoke quite softly as I didn’t want my neighbours to hear. I was initially a little self conscious speaking to the camera in the street, but that doesn’t bother me now. Enjoy that warm weather!
