    Nice harvest!!!! I've not tasted these before, have tried many others . when I was in California it was easy to find " Peruvian apples" which come from cereus peruvianus and large ceri types. They also taste much like Dragon fruit and about the same size with white pulp. The Beahm varieties are well known in California , I have a large old book from them I used to use when I worked at live oak gardens years ago. From Morris park in the Ozarks to across the Emerald isle have a great weekend!!!!!

    Hi again from the Peach State! 😊 Wow... that's a beautiful fruit! ❤ It's really big (deep vibrant pinks/fuchsia are my fav colors). 😊 I was wondering if you'd ever eaten them right before you said that you had. It's good to know they're delicious. I've never eaten cactus fruit but I have eaten prickly pear leaves that my friend prepared in a Mexican stir-fry dish. It was really good! I'm anxious to plant my harvested seeds in the spring. I learn so much from you. As always, thanks so much for sharing and have a great weekend! 😊

    Hi! I love your videos! I was wondering, can the Epiphyllum oxypetalum plant live in Dubai? Our temperates range from 30-50 degrees C Its quite hot LOL. I want to add Epiphyllum plants to my garden but I'm afraid if it'll be a waste of time due to the heat.

  • @desertplantsofavalon

    @desertplantsofavalon

    Жыл бұрын

    So happy you love my videos :-D yes you can grow Epiphyllum oxypetalum in Dubai with the hot temps as long as you can provide the cactus with a shady position that is away from direct sun, they can take the heat as long as there is plenty of shade and ventilation and a position under a tree in the shade is best, these plants can struggle if they are grown in direct sun in hot temps, but can grow well if they can be given shade and ventilation when the temperatures are hot, thanks so much for your wonderful comment and for watching, and sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a wonderful Wednesday XXXX

    Thats amazing that your Queen of the night had 157 flowers, that must have been so beautiful to see, I have noticed that my Queen of the night strangely doesn't produce fruits either even though most of my other Epiphyllums do, I have heard that some of the Queen of the nights have to be cross pollinated with two different plants of Queen of the night as some of them are self sterile, I have tried to pollinate my Queen of the night with a little brush and dabbing the pollen onto the different flowers on the plant but still have not had any fruits, thanks so much Thamara for your wonderful comment and for watching, and sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a wonderful Wednesday XXXX
