I' m so thankful to came across this movie. What a blessing, I'm German, not understanding every word, but at the moment I'm reading a book with sermons of C.H. Spurgeon and this movie was a gift for me today. I' m following Jesus Christ since beginning of the C-crisis and thank God for waking me up. The Lord knew each and everyone of us even before we were conceived. As God knew this preacher, so He also knew you and me. And be sure to have an extra bible in your home, because "the pope"(Bergolio) who calls himself "francis" is within a movement to rewrite The Holy Word of God: the bible. And he has stated it to be wrong to speak or preach about Jesus Christ being The Only Way, Truth and Life Eternal !! This is one of the most humble, God fearing, pure, Godly and Holy Man of God I've ever listened to. He is one of the splendid examples of what it truly means to submit and be like the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit of God was surely upon him. He preached the Gospel and ministered to the poor even upon this day. These sermons of his are God breath! and changing lives. Brother Spurgeon has ran the race and endured to the end! To God be the Glory!!! This man is in heaven! Resting in the blossom of the Lord Jesus Christ!

I have had this movie for almost 7 years on my phone and watched it not less than a hundred times (not exaggerating) what an inspiring story. Thanking God for giving us this Legend.

" We do not adjust the Bible to the age , but rather with God's help we should be adjusting the age to the Bible ". WOW .. what a statement. I wish every church on the face of the earth could hear that today . Thank you so much for this wonderful movie on on this dear man of God Charles Spurgeon.

Most truly do i agree it would be a fantastic sight to see all God's people in these days to know that the word of God hasn't changed for 2000yrs the selfsame gospel preached by Paul n Silas of grace thru faith in Jesus Christ alone is still sufficient to save everyone but we must still continuely walk out our salvation...

I may not be Spurgeon's judge but in my eyes, if anyone in the past few centuries deserves to hear "Well done good and faithful servant" it would be him.

A fantastic film on Spurgeon's ministry. If only we had someone like him today bringing people to God as he did and staying faithful to the Word. If only Churches around the world today preached as he did.

They are many men of God who teach how the Holy Spirit wants them too. I've learned to respect mem of God but never copy them. We all have crosses we need to carry. Only Jesus should we follow and copy

Charles Spurgeon will forever be The People’s Preacher. I listen to his sermons quite often and always come away with a determination to follow Jesus Christ more closely than before. After all these years, his sermons are still fresh and inspiring. Thank God for this man who loved the Lord more than life itself.

We need more members of the ministry like Charles Spurgeon today. More than willing to stand up and be bold for GOD and the Bible.

I loved everything about his life he was a man who didn't compromise the word of God he just gave the truth of the word and lived the life he preached about. We don't see this through to many preachers today he loved the Lord and honored only him🙌👏

There are very few like him in todays world. What a dedicated man of God he was.He’s truly blessed. Many churches today are trying to water down the Bible to suit their congregation.

"The key is not in chasing the desires of our heart. The key is in chasing the Lord." - Wow.

It's not an easy thing to follow the teaching of scripture, especially if friends and family don't understand as you do. Charles was fortunate to come from a strong family of believers. It is true that his works still touches lives.

A beautiful movie of this "Prince of Preachers" life. His sermons bless me every time I listen, especially the hard ones, they are needed, I need them. What I would give to find a church with such a man in the pulpit these days. I know we will meet him in Heaven some day. I will give both him and his sweet "Wifie" a loving hug. Please keep posting his sermons, there are still many lost souls whose ears can hear, when the Holy Spirit calls them.

Love this and thank God for people who are willing to do so much to help spread the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I was brought to tears when I learned he died of a young age of 57.. I'm so thankful tho that the teaching and work of the Holy Spirit still continue to bless others today. When I heard that he helped the children of London,that was a relief to know someone who had the means chose to help.i know he is resting in the arms of Jesus.

Interesting fact: By 1900 in Britain, the average lifespan was about 47 for a man and about 50 for a woman. So Spurgeon lived to what was considered a great old age.

@@rapturebound197 Only that you forget Jesus didn't go to heaven immediately, He ascended after 40 days (Acts 1 vs 1 -3). Those who died in Christ are referred to as sleeping in scripture and will be resurrected when Jesus returns to earth. This Paul confirms in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 "13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

Soooo blessed. Huge Spurgeon fan because he loved the Lord and left us with rich thoughts in his writings.

Beautifully done. This made me weep and long for life to be. Have mercy on us father. May we all get back to what this world should be and be strong in our Lord and savior I 🙏. We desperately need you in our homes, schools, churches, lives again.

LOOK at JESUS. Just look at JESUS, Spurgeon said. So many today say God, but there are many gods, we need to say Jesus - for HE is our salvation. C. H. Sturgeon did not just say God, he said JESUS. People today speak of God as if it doesn’t matter, they say we all worship God, but you and I know that many do NOT worship Jesus. JESUS, God the Son (three in ONE), Jesus the Christ, Jesus our Messiah, HE ALONE is our salvation.

Actually not any religious persuasion but rather the truth stands on its own. And you heard truth in Pastor Spurgeon. You see, the gospel has been polluted by man’s traditions and pagan practices and when you seek the truth, you will be set free. Christ Alone is enough. Look to Him.

What an uplifting, inspiring documentary of a man who was well loved by both God and man! I'm persuaded that all who God counts worthy to enter His everlasting kingdom will have all of eternity to hear similar stories of His wondrous works in the lives of His children.

Spurgeon, greatest preacher, for me, of the 19th century...Martyn Lloyd-Jones, my other favorite greatest preacher from the 20th century. I have read, and heard, their sermons for the last 50+ years. What a joy, what a blessing. Thanks for posting this.

What a blessing to hear the story of Charles Spurgeon. I had heard of his name but it is good to now know more about him. At the end my heart truly felt the pain of the passing of one of Gods humble servants. . . We need them here on earth -- many many more of them.

Such a good word for today is this quote in the movie: “We shall not adjust our Bible to the age; but before we have done with it, by God’s grace, we shall adjust the age to the Bible.” Charles H. Spurgeon

So we’ll done-thank you! So rare to find one who focuses on Christ and Christ alone!

I wrote a letter to my future husband and kept it in the back of my bible for quite a number of years. I forgot about it, and found it after we had been married a few months - in it was a prayer for my husband. My hubby was so blessed by it he immediately came closer to the Lord and has been since then.

I so related to this, I prayed to Our Lord to please see my love, and I wanted to share it with someone. He gave me a wonderful partner soon after. I knew the graces I was given, by meeting him. We married, after Two years of dating. I recognized his love, and many wonderful ways. I knew I was blessed. We had 3 beautiful, wonderful children. I lost him March 9, 2021, after 46 years together. I miss him so much, but the graces of God gives me dreams of him, memories of him. Thank you Lord Father for the gift of love.♥️♥️🙏🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸

How wonderful it was to come across this fine documentary about a pastor who I love. I was given a book of devotionals penned by Pastor Spurgeon 3 years ago and still, nightly, I read from it. The words on those pages have blessed me over and over again and I have often prayed that I should be allowed to meet him when I get to Heaven so that I may thank him for the book, the words within it's pages and the blessing it is to my life. Now I am able to understand a little more of his life and his ministry and I am oh so grateful to the makers of this film. 🙏

I feel as though I've never not known God ... Ive always felt him ..known he's been there. Even when I was angry with him and felt he was just putting me through way to much!!! He's my heart, and my happy . I couldn't imagine not loving him.

I know what you mean. My life was in a downward spiral. I kept blaming God for all of my bad choices. Then the truth dawned on me, they were my choices and not God's. Jesus took all of my sinful bad decisions and choices to himself on the cross.

wow, I'm in tears... what an amazing human being. I had never heard of him. He was truly a man of a God and suffered for his belief in Jesus Christ but never gave up. He left such a legacy. I pray that I can be led and strengthened by the Holy Spirit in the same way in these trying times where the world has turned its backs on Christ. Lord keep me strong and faithful till the end, only looking up and not looking out. Change me from the inside out, Renew me, transform me that you're will and not mine be done in Jesus' name Amen.

The sad reality is that many times God leaves people like Charles in the dark with regards to other truths, not because Charles would not embrace the new light, but sometimes and many times it is the people that would not embrace it. Charles indeed preached according to the light of truth that he knew, but so much more he could have known, but this was withheld from him for his own good. One thing Charles did not know, is that the true Sabbath was not sunday, it was actually the 7th day, as many call today Saturday. The Sabbath is one topic that has been withheld from many preachers, willingly and not willingly. The 4th Commandment that describes who the Lord truly is among the so call many other gods that people have cherished or created for themselves over the years. But in these last day, God is calling a people to come back to His truth, something that is not very popular in the midst of so much confusion and deception. An easy topic indeed, but yet the world has been lead to disregard this very Law in a profound way, calling it the Sabbath of the Jews, when never such thing is mentioned in the scriptures. Because of the lack of diligent study of the word, many have lost this very blessing and the benefit of the true Sabbath of the Lord. Many preachers fallen in deception have failed to understand the difference between the Sabbath of the 10 Commandments with the sabbaths connected with the Temple and it's sacrificial system and festivals, for these sabbaths were nailed to the cross, fulfilled by the life of Christ, but never such a thing applies to the Sabbath of the 10 Commandments. May God open your eyes to see the truth of the Sabbath, maybe for the first time.

In other words, ONLY GOD'S HOLY SPIRIT WHICH WAS/IS ONE WITH CHRIST CAN FOLLOW THE LAW PERFECTLY. Here are truth statements from the Bible that humans are shaped in the sin nature called iniquity, the wages of sin is death, and there is an appointed time for a person to die, after that COMES GOD'S JUDGEMENT. The evidence is the creation of laws (GOD'S LAW INFLUENCING humans to create man made laws to deal with the sin nature), and our mortality. We were birth into the knowledge of evil (that is the learning of harming the body) unknowingly under the umbrella of a civilized world, meaning that laws were put in place to control said knowledge of evil by enabling us to evolve culturally and morally. Civilization is like a rainbow that makes our characters look pretty because laws cannot change the hearts of people, but only can act as a disciplinarian. Consequently, we become civilized which supports the fact that non of us is good given being civilized is not the same as being good. Simply put, humanity is sick with sin, sin makes laws necessary & laws are the stability needed to build a civilization. How can a civilized person, who is guilty of violating GOD'S LAW escape HIS JUDGEMENT? How was JESUS CHRIST CONCEIVED to know HE WAS THE LAMB OF GOD?

Beautiful Story! I am forever in his debt as his writings have helped sustain me through one of my darkest seasons.

Such poignant words I can only echo "I owe so much to the grace of God".

This was a tremendous blessing to me. I have loved this man since the first day God called me to Him. The woman who shated the Gospel with me gave me Spurgeon's Morning and Evening Devotionals. It is cherished dearly.

wow that part where he explains how he heard Jesus thought that preachers and felt his embrace is almost how i felt when i gave my life to Jesus! I could see me as broken as i am and he would have just came and picked me up without me saying a word and i knew then he was what i was looking for my entire life. Jesus Christ is my Lord and savior! I am waiting to get baptized soon after my church opens backup, i just went this Sunday and It was glorious being surround by others that have the love of Christ in them.

Amen! The last few years Godnhas been encouraging me to preach more boldly too. Its kinda the new theme to most sermons he puts on my heart. Maybe its the times, maybe its that im getting older and just don't care anymore. Either way, we need bolder preaching these days.

I’ve been blessed by Spurgeon many times and I was born over sixty years after his death. This documentary moved me to tears.

I can’t believe it has taken me this long to find your channel. That was beautiful. When Spurgeon told his wife, “ and He gave me you my precious wife,” I lost it. That is what my wife and I have engraved in our wedding bands. Thank you for doing this.

Thank you to all involved in this documentary. Our Heavenly Father can transform us into the best version of ourselves. A truly inspiring story. God bless 🙏🏼💜✝️

As a young preacher in my teen years and then into my twenties I cut my “teeth” on Charles H Spurgeon now 50 years later I find him again reviving and preserving the work of the Holy Spirit in my life.

He went as far as his knowledge of the word took him but there's a flood of Bible light still waiting to be understood and practiced. You may enjoy the history of the Christian Church documentary by Amazing Facts: REVELATION: The Bride, the Beast and Babylon. Eye opening!

Couldn't help myself from shedding tears😭😭 after watching the story of Charles Spurgeon, the faithful servant preacher of God's Word,....

I use the Spurgeon Study Bible and have recently read his Jesus Came to Save Sinners book. Beautiful books. They make my heart sing with gratitude to God for His amazing grace in my life.

The beginning of the year 2022 indicates we are having much the same challenges with liberalism that Spurgeon had. May God keep us faithful to His word.

Inspiring. How much God can do through a person as they yield to the Holy Spirit.

I first heard of charles spurgeon in 1978, bought his morning evening devotion. Thru the years has been a blessing reading his powerful sermons. I learned so much about Jesus and his love for sinners. In a mystical way felt like I knew him. Oh how wonderful the lord raises up great preachers, he once said to be great in divine things you have to be a great sufferer, God's way keeping you humble. All Christians are cut from a different mold, what a thing tho to b called the prince of preachers sauciest dog ever to bark in a puppet, he would say look to Jesus he's the only thing worth living for, what a reception it must have been when he entered heaven, and saw Jesus waiting for him!

I would that there were more preachers in the world like him today.

Thank God for preachers such as Rev. Spurgeon and those in the 20th & 21st centuries who preach the pure, unadulterated Word of God...

Here's a man who left a huge mark on this earth.

Thank you so much for sharing this with me. I am so thankful for I have rededicated my life to God. May you be richly blessed in the Name of The Lord Jesus, Amen.
