It's pretty incredible how all the most powerful hymns are from people who have suffered greatly. One of my favorite hymns is "It is well with my soul" the story behind that one is incredible. Modern society want's us to blame and point fingers for our hardships. Jesus wants us to overcome them. God bless you all. We must all work harder in evangalizing. God grant us all the words to say when it is time to say them and shut our mouths when it is time for us to stop. Your spirit knows who will listen and who will not.

Well said. When a person puts their trust in GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST, THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL GUIDE AND COMFORT THEM in every area of their lives. Now comes a prayer of complete surrender using caps as emphasis to help others find THE WAY AT GOD'S MERCY, HIS LOVE GIFT IN JESUS CHRIST. On a balcony of space STEPPED A PURE AND HOLY GOD. What an inspiration she was! I was talking to my daughter about our concern that there are churches that do not use hymns but only modern Christian music. There are some really amazing Christian songs like “I can only imagine”. But to not make sure, like my church does, to use both would be to rob their people. Her hymns were so deep and Scripture centered. I believe a church that does not include both is unintentionally robbing the people who attend.

Truly a marvelous role model for women. It would be nice if her story was taught in our schools!

I was able to see a movie about Fanny Crosby at a baptist church in december 31st. The church was bringing in the New Year of 1985. It was a good movie. Hymns,she had written, are my favorites among other favorites.

Amazing Grace...is My favourite song... This video is much inspiring... She is in the hearts of all Who love her songs..

I believe her grandmother reading the Scriptures had done a ton in her deep theological roots that springs out later in her life through writing lyrics. That first verse of blessed assurance sung in this video just brought me to tears. I just realised how sound was her theology. Just amazing how God's truth is preserved in godly men and women then and now. Thank you for this story

What a triumph over adversity. She was then and is still today a blessing to souls that hear and sing her songs. God be blessed.

I heard her story wayback 20 years ago and so inspired her story. Thanks God no matter the person is normal or disable, God used for his greater purpose. GLORY TO GOD!

Cannot say enough how much I enjoyed watching the spiritually inspiring story of the life of Fanny Crosby. Thank you to those who wrote and produced it. Through out the forty plus years of my walk of faith I have been blessed to sing the words of her hymns. And now to know more of her own life of faith in Jesus Christ, her heartfelt words take on an even sweeter joy and deeper meaning than before. I hope to share her story with both my own family and friends to both encourage and inspire them. Fanny Crosby's testimony is proof that in our weakness, His strength is made perfect...

This was a wonderful biography of Fanny Crosby ! I loved it. I was amazed that she had so many important friends and that she had so many fake names as the author of her songs ! I look forward to seeing her in Heaven some day soon.

Blessed Assurance is one of my all time church hymns to this very day. Thanks to my assignment at Liberty University, I have this opportunity to find out who wrote and composed one of my favorite church hymns. Thanks Fanny Crosby and Phoebe Knapp for writing and composing beautiful and uplifting songs that still echo in our souls today, at church and funerals. Rest in peace beautiful ladies. Wow I did not know all this about Fanny Crosby that a doctor caused her to lose her sight at birth. And she wrote 10K hymns after age 40!

I once was blind before I had catarats surgery, While they were doing the surgery on the first eye I woke up during the surgery I could see, My daughter and I would fight over to leave lights on or off, I decided I would just shut my eyes while she watch movies. People seem to think that being blind everthing is black, Its not at least for me I see could white, It is very nice to see again. One of my other daughter was born blind in one eye, I pretty sure it was my fault, because I was order to have x-rays when I was barely pregnant with her. They had me cover with apron when they did the x-ray.

Agreed, many of the modern churches have turned Church into a rock concert and I've never felt that is ok. Even saw a light show and a smoke machine in one. It seemed more like people were worshiping the band than Jesus.

Fanny was a genius, no doubt, but she was also anointed by God. This is an incredible life that has been documented here.

This gave me goosebumps multiple times. Wow I am just so touched that she used her gifts like this and her gifts certainly gave to future grieving, in need of hope something to hold onto and sing.

Odd, I didn't have any commercials at all, but yes, you can go to the end and replay and that usually fixes it. Jesus is coming very, very soon. We all will get to see Him face to face! Whom I knew nothing about, I’m afraid to say… Well, if she used a lot of pen names, that is one of the reasons I think that I did not know who she was! Fanny Crosby is one of those very fortunate beings who understood the meaning of her salvation and the comfort and hope beyond her predicament. As the apostle Paul said, " Faith without works is dead. " And it is reflected in her song writing and continues to encourage and inspire believers throughout history. She along with many others lived and breathed the word of God in their hymn writing using the very word of God. It can heal the broken spirit, and truly mend the repetitive heart. The Bible reveals the same thing, the psalms, Moses, David and Solomon to name a few. If God is your goal, like her it shows and we are all the more blessed.
