Hudson Taylor Into The Heart of the Dragon | Full Movie | Stephen Daltry

Ойын-сауық

An intimate portrait of the influential missionary's life and legacy. A striking docudrama filmed on location in China and the UK.
James Hudson Taylor was one of the most influential missionaries of the nineteenth century. Founder of China Inland Mission, he spent a total of 51 years spreading the gospel in China. Taylor was unique in his time; he adopted the dress and customs of the Chinese people, showing great respect for their culture, and his organization was strictly non-denominational. Generations of Christian evangelists have followed in his footsteps.

As a Chinese Christian living in Hong Kong. I am so touched and inspired by the missionaries who wore and lived like a local Chinese very much. They gave up so much from the then much more affluent western societies and came to country full of corruption, extreme poverty deep rooted problems in each corner of the socities. Today, I say "thank you so much!" from all the missionaries who devoted their lives for the spirits of Chinese as followin the Great Commission of Jesus Christ!

Thank you for this video. My great aunt and uncle were missionaries in Brazil for over 50 years. I wanted to be a missionary in Asia from the time I was 5 and received Jesus as my Lord and Savior. My mom would say we are missionaries wherever we are. I am almost 70 and have a heavy heart for the souls in China and Russia. My dad’s family were preachers for over 300 years and my mom’s for family also has strong faith. I love hearing about Hudson Taylor.

As Chinese I understand how a China inland missionary work could be difficult for the people are traditionally atheists. Today it could be worse under a communist rouler. I thank all people of your society who gave their life to Jesus and from whom I got knowledge of Jesus in my childhood and baptised adult as Jesus follower.🙏

I am part of a work in Morocco , but living in the UK , I see the need in this land too , in fact I see a desperate need in the church itself. I am learning the secret of Romans 12; 1,2 to lay down our lives daily as an offering . Thank you Jesus for this inspiring docudrama . Rise up Body of Christ .

@@freemanmtthere are some locals and from other countries who try to preach the gospel in morocco but with little results. Local believers do not trust each other and everyone who tries to preach and do work are labeled as bad people by local christians themself. Almost 40 million people and only very few believers in major cities who do not trust each other...

What a blessing to see how mightily God used wholly surrendered lives in China! May God burden and embolden us with the transforming power of the gospel of Jesus Christ for those who are yet stumbling in the darkness without His love and forgiveness.

I'm greatly moved by great love and committment shown by Hudson Taylor and all the missionaries of the OMF, as well as their absolute faith in God and perserverence , and the love...even to death. They just like Jesus Christ, emptied themselves to fulfill the love

What great loss missionaries endured for others to know Jesus. God truly takes us at our word when we say we will give our all for Him . But He also keeps His word in looking after His work on the earth .

"Our reluctant exodus..." in God's kairos timing these ambassadors for Christ were redirected to the 'Macedonian Call' of the Asians. Miss Margaret Hollands left China and set foot in my country. She led my wife to Christ and became our spiritual mentor before she retired and returned to England to challenge a younger generation for Christ. All glory to God!

Emcouraging and empowering. Let us all follow the command of Christ and join Him on His mission, empowered by Holy Spirit, this is our last chance to seek and save the lost before they suffer unnecessarily after Jesus paid the price. Go for it!
