Are you sure what you are saying is accurate and has validity in the statistics you mentioned (i.e. "£34.2 million")? Also from the Dragon's point of view between them they'll have 11% once the money is paid. If he sells for £37m like his last business they'll have made £4m from an £80k investment, or if he sells for £12m like his first they'd make £1.32m from the £80k. That doesn't include the probable share dilution but still it's a very promising deal especially when you're giving it to a successful entrepreneur with a great track record.

I think it's that if Thortful is owned by a single corporation, he's better off using the "dragons"' money and resources to try to grow the business. Any failure would result in less loss to him than if he were to fund it himself. That, plus the added value of the "dragons" (which I understand can also be diluted) is an attractive deal.

Maybe you have some understanding difficulties? So he's giving up a big percentage of his company for 'connections'. Sounds like this whole thing was done for marketing. Love Thortful, I always buy my cards from there now. Easy, quick, good value and better choice than what you find in the shops. A genuinely good product / service!

hardly bullheaded, he was so balanced and genuine with not only his demeanor but his negotiations. yes your clickbait title got me to click the video, yes your clickbait title made me comment on your video, yes it is 100% poor admin of a channel trying to build a following.

Nothing bullheaded about this lad, he is direct and polite which is refreshing.

He seems to me to be smart enough to take the deal on TV, thus getting good publicity, so he can deny it afterwards; many of these deals fall through anyway. He'd be pretty crazy to give away 12% of his business for 80k that he just has laying around. 12% at 80k values his business at 666k, which is only 44% the worth of what he has invested today. That is a serious undervaluation.

Peter is just not into low profit per sale/massive quantity type businesses and prefers tech and services with lower production costs that are typically more risky to invest into, but can turn massive profits if successful. He can afford it, mostly because he has the contacts to make them successful, but I can def see how someone without his influence would be interested in safer investments like what we see here, even though the potential for profit isn’t as big.

Very humble and straightforward guy.

@@XwolfBane18 Each company has to file their finances to the government in a report each year which is then uploaded to the .gov website so you can see the companies turnover, assets etc.

@rishabh bajaj From what I remember, this company did make quite a bit of profit. Not sure what happened with the deal though.

Investment never went through. He is still in business. Thortful’s revenue is now: $22.60 Million. Should definitely apply for Jenny’s seat now.

Net Company Worth though is (-)1.6 million and his liabilities shot up, meaning he even took new investment in So revenue is good at 22 mil, yet profits are low to non-existent unless he's feeding the profits to himself in some other financial capacity

I'm surprised the dragons didn't ask where he spent the 1.5 million. That's a crazy amount.

HAZ R&D, website saturation, design and advertising. Also about $50,000 on programming so pennies really. He’s a rich guy who wants to succeed or fail fast so money accomplishes this. I actually have little doubt his business will be successful or quickly sold to someone who will make it so if he simply can’t accomplish this goal in the next two years. I also have no doubt he actually has several businesses he’s there secretly trying to get going and is using this format to accomplish through exposure.

I use these guys every single card I buy, and didn't know they were on DD. Well worth using, arrive on time are cheap and have a huge range. No reason to buy from elsewhere

@@christinegizza1414 Negative equity - the company owes its own directors £2.5m (true as at year end 2019) which they have loaned to the company presumably to keep it afloat. The company declines to publish its profit/loss statements, but current negative equity (as of year end 2019) totalled around £1.6m

He needs to lose weight to be a movie star. I love his attitude. He is humble. He's smart. He's creative. He's ambitious.

I really enjoy the non-judgmental container/space the dragons create during the pitch. Yeah, once the pitch is over it can get intense and confrontational, but during the pitch they're right there, built open for the other

Well he definitely showed them how to do it right, it's business is flourishing and getting bigger all the time, trust me I work for the guys that print everything and mail it for them. Nice guy as well, loves his job and that shows

I've already bought several cards from this company. They are great!

Sometimes dragons den shows clearly how useful it it is having each dragon asking their own questions. And refreshing to see clearly two dragons (Peter and Jenny) lay clearly on the line how it is for them to consider working with a successful entrepreneur.

Not a bullhead, seen an ad of his buisness this morning actually, glad he's doing well.

He walked in, embarrassed them and still made the best possible deal. What a boss lmao.

Peter: you should be sitting here... Jenny is perplexed... Jenny is scared... Yes... this man can take her place.

Wow who saw all that dust flying off Jennys chair, as she never gets off it to make a deal.

This is the most incredible episode of DD I've seen yet. Jenny actually spent some money for once. Has anyone else ever seen this phenomenon and if so do you remember which episode?
