Confidence is great, but you also need to show why your valuation is justified. Thats the entrepreneur's responsibility, not the Dragons'. In this case, their idea and tech was pretty solid and kept the Dragons interested, but if that wasn't the case, they'd be out of the den in half the time.

I think many viewers missed Peter's brilliant gamesmanship. Don't be fooled by the show's editing: the entrepreneurs weren't rude, unprepared, or presenting a bad product. In fact, Peter quickly recognized they were in a strong position and so he tried to apply some psychological manipulation in order to turn the tables and broker an advantageous deal. However, they coolly called his bluff, proved they were experienced businessmen, and ultimately forced him to back down (and even sort of apologize). Well played by all.

As soon as he diverted his attention from confidentiality to where he rested his hands, I knew it was a play. & did many other plays. the fact that they all offered the same deal to see if they were there for a specific dragon. the fact that he tried to see if the bald guy would notice the change from 12 to 15%. etc. that was really cool to watch tbh

His attitude was perfect to be honest. He didn't get emotionally involved and kept his cool despite the dragons putting pressure on him. He also stayed honest as well as decisively loyal to keeping his competitor that they're talking to a secret. While it might erk people, it's a very good way to be for business. If you are investing in people, he's a good person to invest in. And. Lets be honest. He dominated that room. Kind of gave off the impression of a psychopath though to be honest.

This is by far the BEST and SURPRISING turnaround in Dragon's Den. They stood their ground and keep their cool, even though Peter insulted the product and attitude. For me, they accept other people's opinion and they give their honest answer. Also, they went through hell of negotiations and catched the deal... 👏

Peter Jones: "You won't tell me who your partner is? Then I can't decide whether to invest! I have to know who it is." Peter Jones 5mins later: "I'll invest."

I'm a 100% sure they disclosed the name of the company that they are speaking with and only that explains the dramatic turn around and offers from all of the dragons. They just recorded for TV that they cannot share the name to avoid being sued.

I actually quite liked how the "horrible" guy stood up to Peter's scrutiny and didn't let his condescending attitude get the better of him or deter him from believing in something he's worked towards. Maybe I'm naive, but I think it's important to remain tough in the face of adversity, and in the end he won Peter's respect because of it.

I genuinely don't see him having a bad attitude. Having a different opinion and not choosing to lose faith in your product because one of the dragons have a different opinion all the while respecting Peter's thoughts on it is respectable.

Will Bee If Bill Gates or Elon Musk was delivering a pitch to an important investor that is potentially vital to their company’s growth then they would show proper respect and act accordingly. Peter didn’t like the egotistical and obnoxious persona being put on by someone trying to persuade him especially.

Brizi still hasn't released their product, their website says they'll release it end of 2019. Fundamentally though, this is an air purifier for outdoors, and could never work without radical changes to the design, I have no idea why anyone put in any offers.

They don't even bother showing Jenny saying she's out at this point, they just assume we already know her position.

I love that guy's confidence and skill of negotiations, he knew exactly the dragon he wants to make the deal with, got for it strategically and win it. Perfect Negotiations... Wow!

Filtering the Air for children is probably one of the worst things you can do. So what when they are 5 and out of stroller with air filter suddenly they bombarded by things their body has not learnt to fight. not to mention later in life.

A word on lungs and particulates. The average pair of human lungs has a surface area the size of a tennis court. It is a common marketing trick to collect dark particulates with a small white filter and show the results for shock value. Lungs do an outstanding job of cleaning themselves from day to day dust and grime. Always wear respiratory protection when exposing yourselves to unusually high levels of pollutants, and stay safe!

Christophe Capeau The difference is the Dragons are not there seeking money to get their business running. The Dragons hold the checkbooks, so some butt-kissing on the entrepreneur’s part is necessary. They don’t get the luxury of expecting niceties and respect.

So why do you think they do that? Because it's persuasion techniques. If you come to a pitch already appearing that you have an underhand, then what you get is people getting the better of you. If you know you've got a solid product, there's no need to get intimidated. That's why Peter's interest was there, because he knows the product IS something, and the inventors know it as well.

Think of it like a tough job interview- it’s the interviewers role (especially in a high level type job where you would be required to work under high stress) to ask you tough questions, and make you squirm to a certain extent to see how you handle the pressure and attitude, and it’s your job as the interviewee to be respectful and polite, yet confident, and show them why you would be great asset and have a great personality and how you would handle possible ‘difficult or confrontational situations’ and people, which is needed in business. Peter is often deliberately playing a confrontational role to see how the entrepreneurs react.

The irony is that in the 1970’s and 80’s, there was an epidemic of asthma in infants in Sweden because the air was *too* clean, causing children to develop an allergic reattach to dust in the air. By comparison, children living in soviet Poland, where the air was by comparison, fillthy, had a completely normal rate of asthma. This is the sort of product that could do more harm than good.
