@Frank O'Dwyer It's clearly a tactic to undermine his confidence and get a better deal. The way all 5 of them jumped on it, it's pretty clear it was a very promising and profitable investment. He already has contracts with clubs as powerful as Man City.

I don't think his pitch was THAT good, definitely not bad either. It was mostly thanks to him having a good product, brand and business idea. It all compliments each other. A GOOD salesperson can sell you a turd when you willingly know it is.

That's Jenny's whole strategy, though. She doesn't like businesses where she has to commit too much time or effort or sees low returns. She doesn't want to run the business long term; she wants to sell out quickly. I think (and in all fairness I might be very wrong here) Jenny seems to make offers only for those business who know what they do, where they're going, and won't require too much effort on her part. Compare that to Deborah, who seems to not mind having a nurturing role or a slightly long-term investment as much.

I would be honored to have a beer with Peter Jones and just have him tell me what a dissapointment i am.

Running a start up is more than a full time job. The issue is that if the owner is working 40-60 hours a week on their full time then they can’t really dedicate themselves to the business.

Peter's mind game tactic: 1. Be critical of entrepreneur and / or business model so entrepreneur feels rejection. 2. Reversal of previous statements with surprisingly positive offer so entrepreneur feels relief and liked so is more likely to accept over other offers on table.

Touker was the right person for this deal. He should've gone with Touker. And it's not because Peter was asking critical and blunt questions of the entrepreneur, but because Touker 1) Allowed him stability with his job and 2) He already has a team in place. He even offered to run the business for him for 40%! This was a no-brainer!

I like touker. Hes so right. Hes a very reasonable man. It's not fair for peter to put the entrepreneur on the spot like that. Those details can be worked out later. One of the conditions of the deal could be that he is agreeable to leave his job under the right circumstances. A dragon on board is priceless to me. I would go as high as 49% to get a dragon on board. I can see amazing possibilities with his company. Great concept. Great pitch and great business owner. It's a win ,win, win combination!

When Jenny said: "this is prime exit material", she then made him a sharp offer, followed by a sharp exit from the deal.

I’m just waiting for an entrepreneur to walk in and say “Hi Sharks” and then calmly turn around and walk to call for the elevator

Actually feel bad for touker on this one, it was clearly a half tactic half genuine concern for the mans job and wellbeing with his family, but it still felt like he knew the struggles. he was the first to offer an Investment and unfortunately for him that means he easily got undercut by the other dragons

Peter's strategy always seems to demolish the entrepreneurs by looking for a weakness in their plan, then say "but, actually, I like the idea and I've got exactly what you need to make it happen, so you should take my offer.".

The clever thing about a dragons den you tube, is it shines light on a lot of these busineses, I've looked up quite a few myself. It's extra advertisement along with you tube revenue.

Peter was trying to find fault so reduce its value and take a bigger slice later. Touker was right, he had every right to keep his business. He should have negotiated.

If I was in his shoes.... would have negotiated with touker, as soon as the other offers were on the table touker began to panic, he’s never at the top end of the equity steak. Would have started negotiating at 30% and had a cut off of 35% keep the 100k salary, and take another 50-60 net profit after touker got his slice! Simple.....

Lol the suggestion that someone can't handle more than one job at once has to be the most moronic thing I've heard on this show so far.

I would have taken Touker's offer for 40%, then let his team run the business and collect the passive income. In comparison he got an extra 15% from Peter but he will likely he have to do 95% of the work. If the business does 100k profit, he's now just committed all his time and effort to making an extra 15k per year - poor decision.

All of the offers were crap anyway. If I were one of the dragons I would have taken his initial proposal. £100,000 profit in the first 3 months, and looking like his business will only grow. I wouldn't be surprised if I made all my money back in the first year.

Ive always noticed South America is loyalty central for fans. there are even a lot of bands and musicians that arent as popular now, but if you look at where most of their listens are from on spotify, South America is keeping them going.

Yeah but they wouldn't do that graft for free. They would bill the company every month possibly leaving very little profit; i.e. 60% of not a lot.

A v rich man telling him he cant work the jobs he feels like to maintain security for his family.

Peter has grown too comfortable asking people how much money they make on national TV.

Like the way he shaked all the dragons hands after , great business hope he goes far

The only pitch that had me on the edge of my seat and butterflies in my stomach. This guy is so investable! You can see the sharpness of his mind and he is honest and genuine. Peter plays a good game. He made the guy reconsider keeping his job and by default, the entrepreneur gravitated toward the most intense emotional challenge. This a fantastic display of Peter's negotiation, manipulation and domination skills! No wonder why this f****r is filthy rich. Perfect display of dog eat dog attitude. I don't agree with it but it is what it is.

when deborah goes from "i dont see future, it's not personalised" to "I see a lot of potential in this"...this man is a better sales man than sales men

He recognised a high level sales pitch from peter and hung in there. He's a company director himself and alluded to knowing about the ''game'' in the post interview. Part of business is being tough, genuine and hanging in there and sometimes working with people that vehemently disagree with you, or pretend to...

That man really is a salesman. Never seen anyone have such good responses.

This is a genius idea. It can go from sports to fantasy or science fiction and so on. Good for him and best of luck.

You just have to love Peter Jones. His offer was a vintage Peter moment.

I'd rather have Tej - he seems just as switched on as Peter, and probably better to work with. More often than not, when Tej makes an offer, the others simply copy him.

So wholesome at the end. Love him

I would never take Peters offer just for the principals . Yup , but I am not a business men and I am an Asperger so 😅😅😅, I don’t expect everyone to do the same .

i think peter does this for tactical advantage - like make the other dragons not make an offer...but yeah toukers offer was sound - keep his job and have a team run the company for him, whilst he makes tons of cash from tht - peter only got this through his affiliation with tennis....that was the game changer
