Not dogs went onto open their own restaurant in Birmingham, which has since sadly shut down permanently. Social media is inactive and their official website has also been closed down for good. The company has since dissolved after going into liquidation.

I feel like with what they have, a restaurant was the complete wrong direction for them to go in, but should have stuck and expanded on the food carts, festivals, and pop-ups. It's a shame to hear the business went under.

Their restaurant in Birmingham went out of business and is permanently closed.

If it costs anything like the food in vegetarian restaurants I've seen, it will be £15 for a hotdog with no side or drink. They will go out of business like the rest of them. Too expensive and too niche.

The brand name was certainly strong. They also had good contacts with Quorn. Too bad they did badly given their endorsement by the market leader who somehow managed to make it but not them? Maybe the restaurant idea was not a good one.

I don't think there is much meat in a conventional hot dog 😅

HOW MUCH MSG or sodium or SUGAR are in their FAKE dogs?? That would be important to know.

My most dislike for vegetarian food is the fake meats. If they want to get away from meat then why do they keep trying to come up with a replacement for it? Just make stuff with other ingredients. There’s plenty you can do without a fake meat to try to trick people into liking it. It’s not meat so stop setting people up for disappointment. Pet peeve of mine

They'd kill it if they did this now. Just a few years too early, perfect market now.

Because the average meat eater will not want to go to a restaurant that is 100% meat free. They may have veggie dishes from time to time, but to not offer any meat dishes at all, that loses them like 88% of their customers immediately, if that makes sense

Vegan here with a lot of vegan and veggie friends. I like the taste of meat, but don't personally agree ethically with eating it. Why does that mean I wouldn't want a product that mimics the taste of meat without the ethical and environmental repercussions? I do agree however that it's not a sustainable business, all of our favourite vegan restaurants have shut down rather quickly after opening.

Many also switch after watching 1 or 2 documentaries. I am not a scientist and even the real scientists aren't in concert. The ethical/cruelty argument doesn't get there for me, given our history of esting meat.
