Bulletproof Coffee Recipe (BEST Ingredients for Keto and Intermittent Fasting)

Here is my favourite bulletproof coffee recipe! Plus, I talk about the benefits of bulletproof coffee and why you might want to include it on your keto diet or intermittent fasting routine. Bulletproof coffee does not raise insulin and can help to extend your fasting window when fasting. 𝗖𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗞 𝗧𝗢 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗 𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗘 ↓

Update: If you’ve not tried putting an egg yolk in your bulletproof coffee, try it! After watching this video yesterday, I decided to try adding an egg yolk in my bulletproof coffee. I was a bit skeptical, but I thought “no guts, no glory” 😂 I was pleasantly surprised! It didn’t taste “eggy” which had been my initial concern. It gave the coffee more ‘body’ and the coffee was creamier. It also helped with the emulsion of the butter and coffee. Now, I just need to figure out how I’m going to use the extra egg whites.

Hey Kait, my nutritionist says thanks! Your BPC is a huge help, keeps me sane in the mornings. Im doing cream, coconut oil instead of MCT, cinnamon and cocoa powder along with monkfruit sweetner, down nearly 30 pounds in about 2 months, fixed my insulin resistance and making great strides on my fibromyalgia. Mentally, my depression is "cured" and my outlook in general is great, but my pain levels do go up lot when I eat carbs in any form, including veggies. When I had my second nutrition appointment back in march my "metabolic age" was 73, with yesterdays report showing me at 57, so HUGE improvement all across the board with much thanks to your version of BPC.

Luke my fibromyalgia is hardly noticeable anymore and I had horrible pain in my feet for over six months and with in two weeks of Keto it was gone! I was a first line COVID survivor that had brain issues for over 6 months and for three years my speech and cognitive skills were slow to improve. When I started Keto my brain recovery was rapid! Three years I had been recovering. Two weeks on Keto and my edema and fibromyalgia are gone. Weight dropping weekly. Keto is the lifestyle I should have always been on. Good luck to you!

I was reluctant to try bullet proof coffee, but gave in to my curiosity. Wow. It’s good. I use just butter and coconut oil, which I whip up with my immersion blender. Tried it for the first time 3 days ago, and have had it every morning. It’s been keeping me full until about 1pm, at which time I’ve only had a snack, and the made it through until dinner time. I’m now a believer. Thanks.

I did this with my Yeti rambler mug (keeps everything super hot) and a hand blender instead of a regular blender. The Yeti holds 20 oz. Put about 8oz of hot coffee in the mug w/ the ghee, 1 egg, salt, and a squirt of MCT oil. Use the hand blender to get it all mixed and frothed right in the mug - go easy on the hand blender.. just a few quick pulses. Then add in the rest of the coffee, stir with a spoon and cover. The yeti keeps it hot so you don't have to drink it all right away. Almost zero clean-up (just the hand blender but that takes 2 seconds to rinse). You can stage it all the night before so you don't have to fumble with it all in the AM. Love the videos coach kait - keep it up

I personally think it might interfere with my fasting, but I'm eager to give everything else a shot! In fact, I've just ordered all the necessary items, including MCT oil from Amazon. The inspiration for trying this comes from my good friend Lee, who I'm lucky to work with at my job. My mom raised my brother and I and was sometimes pressed for time in the mornings before work. Some mornings she would make us what she called an eggnog. It was milk, egg (with the whites) and some all spice or cloves, a touch of vanilla and a spoonful of sugar. And blend that up for us to drink for breakfast. It was so creamy and rich. It would hold me over until lunch time. I loved my mom's eggnog but with the eggs having salmonella, I quit making it. And now here we are making coffee with a raw egg yoke. I may have to try this. Bulletproof coffee, along with 20min+ of weights/cardio each morning and not eating until 12-2pm has been a game changer. Stomach shrank too, I have a lot more energy and less bloat issues. The energy from one cup of bulletproof coffee feels like 2-3 cups of the same brew without the bulletproofing, longer lasting too.

Hi, Kaiti! Question for you. If my goal is to enter into ketosis and burn fat, would I be better off with a fully fatty coffee to extend my fast in the morning, or a morning workout and then a fatty coffee with a scoop of protein powder In it? Due to my work, I only have a small window in the morning to squeeze in a workout on the 3-4 days per week I work. But I also feel like it’s necessary to consume some protein post-workout. The other alternative is to simply rest those days and workout on off days only) my job keeps me pretty active for the most part). Thanks!

Bulletproof coffee was a great discovery for me! I think it stood the test of time against the "fad" and fashion moment to deliver real healthy effects. I do not put the egg yolk. I wonder if it cooks up in the process. I don't have MCT oil near me so I go for organic pure coconut oil and ghee/clarified butter. I don't use plain butter. Ghee tastes better and it's suitable for lactose intolerant people, because it actually contains no water, no lactose and no casein if properly processed, so it's pure fat. That's its scope. I use espresso or moka or infusion coffee and mix into a glass blender. Unfortunately it still tastes too bitter for me so I add a tiny bit of pure stevia powder which is not any type of sugar and a small amount of cinnamon powder. I'm generally more of tea person and I tried it with tea, not bad but I still prefer my cup of tea clear and traditional. I'm very sensitive to caffeine so I keep it at minimum. If I make bullet coffee later in the day to fill a gap before a late dinner or during a cold winter afternoon I make it decaffeinated.

Hi Kait, I've been experimenting with MCTs on and off for about a year with some success, mostly with that awful tasting raspberry-watermelon powder, which frankly makes it difficult to stick to. I am a regular morning coffee drinker but I've got two questions: 1) I rarely have the time to brew coffee, so I often use instant (it's not as bad as you think, AND it is much easier to regulate your caffeine intake). Is it OK to use instant coffee for this, or is there some nutritional reason that brewed coffee is required? That would be a deal-killer for me unfortunately. And 2) is it OK to add Stevia to it as a safe non-caloric sweetener?

I Would like to try this. I came across Bulletproof looking at stuff on amazon. I was wondering would it make a difference if I used the bulletproof k cups or is there some extra benefit making coffee the old fashioned way. I have to get up early in the morning for work and don't have much time to make breakfast cause I'm trying to get all the sleep I can then get up and go. We have a kuerig machine in our office so I figured I could get k cups and make it at my desk. Minus the egg yolk since I have no blender at work.
