I started taking 3 capsules of Sea Buckthorn oil ( Omega 7 ) twice a day eight months ago. When I got my bloodwork done my HDL rose five points. My triglycerides dropped 16 points, my total cholesterol dropped 29 points, my LDL dropped 31 points. My liver enzymes went from AST 164 down to 18 and ALT from 113 to 22. My Dr was blaming my Keto diet and tried to put me on a plant based diet but I refused. I decided to do my own research on fats. I still drink two bulletproof coffees every morning with 3T of salted whipped butter and 2T of organic heavy whipping cream in each. I can’t wait to see him in three weeks for my yearly to go over my numbers and to tell him I’m still doing my Keto diet.

Because of my roommates always using all of my different sources of fats I kept running into issues of waking up in the morning only having coconut oil or carry gold or avocado oil for my morning coffee. When the specific roommate finally moved out and stopped using all of my oil I went back to daily coconut and Kerry gold and I wasn't having the good effects after 2 months of just using those two. So it's great to see a video like this that connects to something I've already done, because of the roommate, noticing the different effects and making sure to change up the style of oil that is used. When I first started doing the buttered coffee it was one of the first things to get me out of energy drinks and a low-grade brain fog that I probably had most of my life. It was one of the first things that really helped me understand how being metabolically flexible can really improve overall body health and got me out of a low-grade chronic illness. For a while I looked on it like a panacea but I also would notice that if I used it too much I would start to get lethargic. Love your content keep posting

So would the rate of ingestion be a factor with the slower uptake casein proteins? Typically I will have a cup of coffee in the morning and then fill up a travel mug that I sip throughout the day. Typically takes me about a half a day to drink the whole thing. I would theorize that you would not get bombarded with all of those fats at once if you ingest it more slowly

Hey Thomas, just have started using Siberian Pine Nut oil for particular digestive health properties, and I wonder what your impressions/opinion of this type of nut oil is? It is a different genus of pine nut sourced from Siberia, and potentially has a different fatty acid profile than regular pine nut oil and definitely contains certain unique nutrients that have been indicated to help with H.Pylori, and GERD as well as some other health concerns. I don't think it has had a ton of exposure as a health food, so I'm always curious what your thoughts are? Thank-you kindly!

I drank a lot of white pine needle tea after getting over the franken-flu a couple years ago and it felt very healthy to me. Pine needles are where turpentine comes from so it makes sense that the pine tree has some very good antimicrobial properties. I'll try taking some pine nut oil and see how it feels. I believe most diseases, including cancer, are caused by microbial parasites (yeast, fungus, bacteria, virus, mold) and it helps to keep our insides clean. I'm always careful not to overdo a good thing though.

I have never heard anyone talk about this, bravo. I just intutively started testing out macadamia nut oil in my coffee because I do better with monounsaturated fats. It is incredibly important to know how well you process saturated fats. I have been low carb/keto for 5 + years and my lipids are high, as are many low carbers. about 6 months ago I decided to try the Carnicore diet, 6 weeks into it my cholesterol went from 320 to 850 and most of my inflamation markers were extremelyy high, and it caused a stroke. luckily it was mild but it took me 6 months of blood thinners and statins and a mainly plant based diet & salmon to get things back to normal. I also did some DNA testing whichj indicated I should limit saturated fat. So check your status everyone this is really im[portant stuff.

Amazing video with 2 very unique pieces of information! The part about saturated fats being liquified and blended, which makes absorption easier thereby increasing triglycerides in the blood way too much for the body to utilise was something I've never heard in all my research on youtube. Also using different oils and fats for different weeks was also something I never considered. I usually use both coconut oil AND butter/ghee everyday with my coffee. Maybe I should consider alternating them. QUESTION: You mentioned 6 fats in this vid, Butter, Ghee, Coconut oil, Macadamia nut oil, Olive oil and Avocado oil for the sake of variety in taste and benefits. Should we just do 1 fat for the ENTIRE week or can we do 1 fat every day in any order till we get 6 out of the 7 days of the week. Basically I need to know if it would require a week for each fat's individual benefits to be noticeable or could we just rotate them everyday and still gain all the benefits? Thank you for all your hard work Thomas!!

Hey well am not a doctor, but these all is considered as good fat leading to increase HDL and ultimately lowers LDL(bad cholesterol) I had high cholesterol 254. Triglycerides 600. I used walnuts or any nuts, avocado, sesame seeds/pumpkin seeds/sunflower seeds, ghee/olive oil or sesame oil And my Triglycerides went down to 203 from 600. Total cholesterol is 154 now. So choose good fat. 40 mins of cardio and clean eating will give you good result. All the best.

What blender do you recommend for whipping the ghee butter with your hot coffee because I’ve tried various plastic blenders and then the plastic cracks (which I kind of figured it would ) but I was just looking for like a simple blender to use that works really well that won’t crack due to the heat of the coffee and the ghee butter and whipping it

I use enough different fats just eating normally. Ghee to cook my breakfast, fats in and of the food itself, an avocado more often than not, olive or avocado oil roasting veg for dinner. Bullet proof coffee always seemed like overkill, to me. Maybe if I did it with protein powder I could see the value. Otherwise I just don't do it.

If you're going to measure triglycerides after ingesting lipids, you should also measure HDL to see how the ratio changes. HDL interacts with the chylomicrons in such a way that there is a decrease after ingestion. The lower hdl and the higher the trig spike, the less metabolically flexible. Zone 2 cardio after bullet proof coffee may be a good strategy to consider.

I used to do the bullet proof coffee thing. I was also eating OMAD so I could kinda get away with it. I would say just don't though. It's just way more calories for no good reason. Unless you are like keto or having trouble putting on weight, eat your fats in food where you can really enjoy them.

Agree. Stick with black coffee and, as you say, "eat" your fats that come with tasty food. One thing Thomas has really helped me with is realizing that Keto (or low carb) doesn't mean go all-out with any and all fats; they are just so caloric and the body fat will never come off if you keep eating a lot of fatty things. I've cut back on fats a lot and increased the protein.

@@sandradalton1611 you can improve your condition, I have a Hiatal hernia and when originally diagnosed could hardly eat anything because of the damage in my esophagus, I was coughing up blood. Once I was able to get everything under control and healed up I find I can eat and drink most things. Drinking water to clean the esophagus no matter what I eat keeps it in good shape. Not over eating, not eating 3 + hours before bedtime, never laying down after eating and raising my upper body for sleep has enabled me to not have to take anymore PPIs. I do keep a bottle of gaviscon original tablets at my bedside if I have any issues at night (rarely happens). Also if I eat something that maybe difficult to digest I will take digestive enzymes or some water with a little apple cider vinegar.
