This reminds me so much of 7 years ago. Kidless, single, alone in my boxers playing Dark Souls 2, watching Oroboro and Peeve invade on a separate monitor… I cannot wait to do the same thing with Elden Ring. Just in pants and my kids yelling at me to make them food….

Works well for the first visit of an area. After you've died to the boss 10 times or you're on your 10th playthrough, not so much.

True! At least few ppl appreciate that. I hate DS3 pvp (I still play it, because it is most active tho and the game has the best singleplayer in my opinion), like 80% of weapons in DS3 pvp is significantly worse then the rest. For meta players and try hards it is probably better, but for someone (like me) who do cosplays and funny/fun builds it is awful. In DS2 no mater what build I did it wasn't a nightmare to play pvp with it. Elder Ring, please be good and for one time, don't have a trash net-code...

Ds2 had way more build variety, weapons, armor, spells than ds3 I was disappointed that ds3 didn't have as much content and felt that the game was too short.

@@vicmanvalfre96 I spent so much hours on DS2 pvp, most fun i had in any of the souls games especially in high level pvp. was so disappointed on how weak the pvp for DS3 was on release, they practically discouraged invading along with a huge lack of fun weapons/builds to use. By the time they supposedly "fixed" it I was over w the series, hoping eldin ring can recapture that same magic

@@Edgariki yes and no ds3 has a lot of weapons and spells. But not all of them are good in pvp and depending on your build you end up with just a couple weapons to pick from in every category which is normal. Ds3 has spells but more than half of them are useless to where people just go for one shot builds if they are running spells, the only useful styles is regular magic and pyromancy, the only real reason anyone does faith is for tears of denial. Ds2 has about 2.5x the weapons and spells and a lot of them are good for PvP, every build has several good picks for whatever weapon type they are picking from and many of them have neat features in fact there's even a few options to have several different weapons allow for using them as a catalyst for spells for the same weapon type if I recall there even was a sword that let you use pyromancys with it but not many people knew about it, in fact ds2s boss weapons blows ds3s boss weapons out of the water. Ds2 has the most spells too and I remember most of them being good.

Yeah would love to see what he builds like I pvped alot but I suck at making builds so mine are always : death by a thousand cuts.

Ds2 was my favorite game to do status effect builds in. Of course I was a nasty fighter and used the butterfly set with the Manslayer.

I got killed by a invader with a poison build a few hours ago. I think they might have seen Oroboro's video and got a little too motivated. They absolutely wrecked me. I think he was using the Manslayer. It feels bad to die from poison in pvp/an invasion. I'm thankful that poison builds are actually dangerous in Dark Souls 2 though (if you know how to use it well).

Love to see the Ds2 content. And you saying "take a little chug" had me lmao. Little Chug Arthur, may he get through the fog door.

The patches part was soooo cool. Had me laughing out loud.

Wow the memories! I also had that kind of character on my ds2 from the ps3, but I used dual whips, the bow of want and the butterfly set, it was really satisfying to use that lightning arrow in the poisoned hosts! Thank you for those ds2 videos, they are really entertaining!

man i loved mythas's bent blades in ds2. first playthrough i finished i had that as a secondary and just started every boss fight i could do it with applying toxic. so awesome by the end to just see like a 2-3k toxic tick finishing them off.

I get the joke, but fun fact, Mytha's Bent Blade is the only weapon in the game that inflicts Toxic buildup. And the toxic status effect does insane damage over time in DS2.

Nice! I'm really happy you're using Mytha's Bent Blade. I remember using it once a long time ago for a poison/toxic based assassin build and I shared the idea of the build with people on the DS2 steam forum and there were a lot of trash talkers and naysayers. I think it's a great weapon if you use it properly. And the fact you're powerstancing two of them is awesome. I think I did that too with my build eventually.

At the time there were lots of exploit abusers who had enough stats to never get poisoned in havels armor plus blessings) so understandably people didn't care much for this gem of a blade.

@@tatfly5779 Oh damn. I had no idea about that. That really sucks that people did that. I hate people who use exploits in the Souls games. In DS1 there's a few exploits that I really hate and then in DS2 there's the attunement glitch/exploit which is complete bs. It allows the person to have an insane amount of attunement slots..or it just multiplies the spell you have attuned. Idk how it works but one time a guy invaded me and he did nothing but spam Forbidden Sun at me. People like that are scumbags.

How do you plan pvp builds in this game? I know with ds3 it's easy you go +1 per 10 levels on your gear and it works breat but ds2 has soul memory. And I dont know how that works at all. I just make a build a hope it finds invasions.
