That first invader was a goddamn hero. He knew what he was losing when he took the plunge. But that man had a dream.

Now that is a fine weapon choice, one might even call it... favored. Heh.

NGL, invasions look like they might suck. Basically just DS3 but with more powerful magic. Oroboro-style invasions will not make it.

@@monsieurdorgat6864 that's why Dark Souls 1 is still the GOAT for me. there's the scummy backstabs, the unfair gank, OP magic.... makes the game thrilling & makes you a better version of yourself. It's just entertaining and funny AF too. DS3 is so vanilla in multiplayer.... i didn't feel the same excitement.

@@nwing07__ DS3 is less than vanilla - it's just fuckin' oats and salt. Vanilla is an exotic spice we've gotten used to. DS3 lost even that flavor. I'm more for DS2 than DS1 for PvP, but I can respect DS1's complexity, at least.

I wouldn't ever call any of the souls games balanced or deep in their pvp. They all have extreme faults. DS2 being good in viability but not much else.

I forgot how much I needed this in my life

I hope Elden Ring invasions won't be a mess like Dark Souls 3's system. The invasions feel like they we're at their best when the invaders weren't heavily nerfed

@Oroboro I just noticed that your Shotel is crystal. Why did you take it down that upgrade path (besides the big damage boost)? Crystal weapons do a lot of damage, but wouldn't having high dex and faith + dmb or slb be better?

Crystal in DS1 can still use buffs and the like. It's basically better vanilla with extra base damage, but they can't be repaired.

@@gmlux2682 Yeah, I know all that. I guess for pvp there's really no downsides. Except the Shotel is a weapon you can only get once per playthrough right? No npc's sell it iirc and you can only loot that one in Sen's Fortress.

How do you even get invasions Oro?! I been trying on ps5 to get invasions at sl30, sl 50, sl80, and 120 and i get maybe one every 2 or 3 hours, trying every area

@@tjjjanewayI'm not 100% sure but I assume he's on PC because for DS2 and DS3 he uses mods that allow better connectivity for pvp and to protect himself from hackers. He probably has a console too though. Edit: of course he does... because he played the Elden Ring demo, lol. I almost forgot about it.

I haven't seen anyone TWAP in so long i forgot it even existed for PC's!

he's in the dark moon blades, but using cracked orbs... which you can get plenty of by darkwraith hunting with a gold serpent ring... or theres plenty of other ways to get cracked orbs... its a non covenant item so anyone can use it... he's still a dark moon.... he got asked all the time back during the quest for hatemail
