My grandfather was a heavy smoker. He had at least a pack a day of unfiltered cigarettes. One day my mother tried once again to convince him to quit and she asked him, "Do you really want to die before your grandson graduates?". The tears welled up in his eyes as he realized just what was at stake. He kicked his 50 year smoking addiction just for me. I had never seen so much willpower in action. However, all the damage he'd done to his body over the years caught up with him and he died just two months before I graduated. He made me promise him never to touch a cigarette in my life. In retrospect I feel pretty bummed out about never trying them because the Gold Tracer gave me cancer anyway.

It's a distinction without a difference. If you invade someone with 3 phantoms it doesn't really matter if they're waiting for you or if they're just getting carried thru the game - they're still all going to fight you. It's still a gank.

I've beaten every boss in this game solo and I still summon from time to time for the fun of it. Either to make it a bit easier to get a specific annoying item I need like the MLGS from Sieth, or simply because I find it fun to look at some of the various characters people have made as well as interacting with the community in the often times hilarious manners that occur.

Re-read my comment. I said "from time to time", not "every time". I usually don't summon. Like I said, the times I do summon it's because I either want to make it easier to get an annoying item I need like the MLGS from Seith, or to simply enjoy the community and the build's they've come up with.

I come to these videos after a long hiatus from playing souls games, or any games for that matter, just for nostalgia and I read the comments. Nothing changed. Everyone just whinges so much in Dark Souls. Maybe its just a gamer thing I don't know.

What level should you have your tracer at in order to invade at that level? max/+0?

I used to play double gold tracer, but you can't parry. The parry key makes a triple attack one-handed. So you can basically alternate triple one-handed left and triple one-handed right.. 6 slashes, blood loss guaranteed.

Am I the only person who doesn't have difficulties dealing with gold tracers and R1 spammers in general? Just use weapons with decent speed and range, toggle-lock on (you want to play unlocked most of the time) and have some poise so you won't become staggered after one hit. When they are 2-handing their weapon, they can't parry, so the running attacks can be really effective (just avoid BS punishes). After they receive hit, they will bring up their shield, but then you can try to bait parry by running, because they might anticipate another running attack. Then just roll + r1 or backstab them (depending how far away you are). If they don't react, just start to run towards their back and they'll think you're going for running BS and will either try attack to cancel the BS, setup for counter BS or start rolling away in terror. Then just punish them the way you see fit. Even if you're running with pure strength build, you can always use weapons like Demon's Spear or other elemental weapons when someone invades. You can sort your inventory too, so you can quickly change lighter gear for fast roll and equip Wolf ring for some poise.

It's easy to setup parry R1 spammers too. Just be patient and when they think they gained the upper hand, they'll get greedy and try to bleed you out and deplete your stamina by spamming your shield. Not very smart, but it happens all the time.
