iTreadSoftly If you've watched Oro's videos he loses a lot against people running the same build. Like half of the time. Everyone else he wins almost every time. That speaks to the cheapness and power of the build. It would be much smarter to run away until it debuffs, but then everyone here would cry about it.

I'm sure you have progressed pretty far by now but if not, might I suggest the best entry level weapon in dark Souls...the black knight sword. you should be able to wield it by this point and it levels extremely well. There's also a damage multiplier for demons and such.

The R1 button is not the only way to attack, it's just spamming the same way to attack over and over again, it's not hard and doesn't require any kind of skill or tact, it's just hitting the same button until something dies. Spamming is boring to fight and is a pretty cheap tactic, which just ruins the experience for everyone.

Souls community is weird. Glad I just play the game. Not everyone "ganking" can be expected to be lame, either. Maybe they just like playing with people because it's fun or want help with a dungeon; it's all on the invader for invading a world in the first place. Co-op is fun in this game. Similarly, as an invader, he doesn't need to follow any rules. He's there to kick ass. If he does a lil bow and they fight honorably, cool whatever, but it's fun being a special "badguy" in the other player's world, too. Using enemies against them, pestering them, etc. It's a game designed to be played any of these ways. Who cares who does what. The only thing that is lame is outside that, annoying hackers or lag monsters. But oh well, luck of the draw. Rage then continue on.

+Daichi Freshfonz That's very true, but in 90% of cases people summon because they're bad and need help with the game. Summoning makes the game more than twice as easy, so people who summon help are generally going to be looked down upon by skilled players because they're taking the easy way out regardless of their reasoning.

+Daichi Freshfonz BUT. There ARE fuckheads that gank and use invasion signs to get invaded. Those are the gankers that are lame. Especially when the person who put the sign down is looking for honorable duels.

Man, that last duel. That is why I love this game. Well that and wonderful, wonderful lore, but that's a discussion for another time.

Am I the only one who doesn't care how a person plays? Who cares if someone ganks? I don't. I don't care when someone Giantdads me into oblivion. Those items are there for a reason. I don't care when someone heals during a fight. Sure, it makes me mad sometimes, but it's fair. That's what such things are there for. They're there so the player can use them as he/she sees fit. So people complain because others are using the resources given to them for their use. Wat.

I get nostalgia from this song every time thanks to Obobobo ☺ It instantly brings me back to the DS1/DS2 days, which were good times IMO 👍👍 Praise the Day Man "fighter of the Night Man"

This is why I love Oroboro. I have done literally all of this in my time in Dark Souls. It's not "game/fun ruining," because every time it happened to me, it taught me what NOT to do. I absolutely love trolling the shit out of players, and it's completely viable this late in the game. Hell, I even twinked a little bit(with copious amounts of mercy; some noobs were too new to take pleasure in fighting). I'd love to see him come back to dks1 and do some classic PvP fuckery. :) Also, I'm disappointed that I never encountered him. I see he favors the PS3 version... and unfortunately, I had the 360 version. If only, because that'd make for a funny invasion.

It really depends on the kind of PVP you're doing. Some people prefer to treat PVP like a fighting game, with unspoken rules and preferred locations to duel. They make everything as neutral as possible so that the only real variables are individual choices with build and set-up, as well as player skill. Then there are people who treat PVP like a free-for-all. They ignore all the unspoken "duelist's rules" and basically just do everything they can to kill the opponent. They're like bandits. These include your gankers, your joke-builds, your shenanigans-users like what was shown in parts of this video, and just people who don't adhere to the unspoken code. Neither one is "right" or "good". I'm not going to say that "duelists" are better players than the "bandits", but both have their time and place. If you prefer dueling, you're better off hanging around the Undead Burg, as outside the first bonfire is a common dueling arena. You can do whatever the fuck you want if you prefer the free-for-all, but it tends to be very interesting in Darkroot Garden because the Forest Hunter covenant really focuses on this type of PVP.

Putridprudential Except there is, when both parties agree to it. There's no rules when you're invading and I prefer it that way, but you can't deny that some people prefer honorable duels to bloodthirsty invasions. Point is, if you want to play honorably, you can. If you want to play like a bloodthirsty bandit, you can.

Do you PVP to collect souls and the blood of others? Or do you play PVP to abide by stupid rules that people try to enforce religiously?

I’m totally horrible at PvP, definitely died more times than I’ve won. But I kind of don’t understand why people say that invaders who buff, heal, or hide behind enemies are “playing dirty.” Not every transaction in the game itself is an honorable duel. Enemies heal. Invasions exemplify the savage, out-to-get-you tone of the overall game. Invasions are another way Dark Souls says “fuck you,” especially to people like myself still learning how to play. I’ve learned how to get better just by getting slaughtered in invasions. Everything else other than hacking/cheating, is fair technically, otherwise FromSoft wouldn’t let you do it.

Krealition They attack really fast, so they do a ton of damage when you buff them cause the buff's damage doesn't rely on weapon strength and is just a flat increase of damage.

go to GFWL, then settings and network. If it says NAT closed or moderate then thats your problem. Either port forward or enable UPnP on your router.

I dont think there is a level cap for red soapstone. only a minimum level match. ex. someone level 80 will match with someone 62 to max level. The 62 comes from my level minus 10 minus 10% of my level
