I like how backstepping actually looks viable in this game and actually grants some i-frames, i get hit literally everytime i try and backstep in ds3

DS1 and 2 have s in their back steps, while BB and DS3 don't, sincerely I have the habit of backstepping a lot and the lack of s and the fact that your hit box remains in front of you is quite painful sometimes

Yasu Nagasena I think combat would be a little more dynamic if they did give it some I-frames. Only thing backstepping is useful for is mages being annoying with their soulmass-crystal soulspear turn n burns.

Oh man this brings back so many memories. Back when I first played DS2 on my sisters PS4 I used this build for iron bridge duels. Now I'm doing my first playthrough on PC and seriously am considering trying dome pvp with this build again. The moveset is just so damn satisfying

My favorite part is when you jump into the lava after a successful kill. It amuses me every time.

The ds2 welcome gesture is the most legendary fs emote, nothing comes close to its level of attiude.

"Oh nice parry" near the 54 minute mark completely killed me.

Brandon! I think you should play around with the Ivory King Ultra Greatsword. It's in my opinion honestly much more powerful than it might look at first glance. The two handed lightsaber wombo combo does SO much damage when you catch someone close range, and even at very long range you can chip away at people with the lightsaber shit. It's actually by far my favourite ultra greatsword! Plus, it looks baller as hell, fashion souls!!

+TheSandvichTrials I used it t finally get my first invasion kill( at lvl 300,I'm bad at pvp lol) it isn't bad. the only problem I have is that it's slow, the watcher sword is much faster and can let you punish people much easier. The light saber ranger on the ivory greatsword is silly though lol. EDIT: Also, a lot of stats on the ivory sword is wasted on bleed, which you will not be likely to proc before simply killing the other person outright.

Mild Mannered Pate It's still a big lumbering ultra greatsword that becomes 10 times worse the moment you one-hand it, I don't think it's necessarily that OP. It's definitely got trade-offs. But the 2H physical damage is brutal.

I mean there's no rule in the game that dictates that you cannot do that, in fact I guess it's even encouraged to wreck your opponent as hard as possible, as fast as possible. I love watcher's greatsword because it feels satisfying and strong to use both 1 handed and two handed.

Gotta give Axbar credit: He may have been less than skilled, but that Predator cosplay was awesome.

This is one of my all time favorite from weapons. Maybe absolute favorite.

It really sucks that Soul Memory was a thing, because the Fashion Souls and the wide variety of weapons to use were seriously on point in DS2. Plus Power Stance was such a fantastic mechanic.

watcher and defender greatswords are amazing weapons. kinda underused too. most people go for ultra greats, or claymore type moveset weapons. watcher, defendr, and mirrah are great swords.

Humunculous Mace is great, it has straight sword 1h R1 attacks which adds to its excellent damage. Love this weapon

That sword has caught with phantom range so much. It's almost as bad as the Drakekeeper sword.

It's like a kick ass lightsaber!

Huh! In the fight vs nightingale_x_x notice the co-op phantom refuses to gank the invader and runs away/lets himself be killed? Rare and pleasing show of sportsmanship, that :) You only occasionally see that from hosts but you see it even less from helper phantoms. Respect++ to you, kimekime1001, honor souls is best souls.

Syan's Halberd perhaps? It has a different light attack to other Halberds, which is nice. Gyrm Greataxe or a Raw Bandit Greataxe are pretty good. Underused as well.
