@@Bubblemation I've beat ds1 twice, ds2 once, ds3 4 times onto my fifth and am halfway through bloodborne. The games aren't hard, get real. Honestly this comment gives me the vibe that you haven't played any. Sure they're harder if you're fatrolling all of the time like this guy, but if you actually have a planned build which I did on my first run the game isn't hard. That is the key to this game: just focus on a certain build when levelling up. Don't level every stat equally, pick a weapon/group of weapons you'd like to use and build around that. For example want to use large strength based weapons? Go for a strength build or perhaps even a quality build if you like quality based weapons. Want a sorcery based build? Level int and use int scaling weapons. The game is a lot harder if your build is all over the place and you don't do enough damage or your build is just poorly optimised in general.

Asmon sounds like a secondary character of an anime watching the main character fight

@@65EKS65 bc they arent hard. dark souls isnt really a difficult game there's just a bit of a learning curve if you dont learn from your mistakes itll be a struggle. after a while youll be able finish the game w/o dying pre easily in a couple of hours. best game ive ever played

Yeah, as Beau Allen said, it’s just a learning curve. And that goes for pretty much all the Soulsborne games, although Bloodborne is a bit different due to the trick weapons and such. You should really play Dark Souls and Bloodborne. Even Demon Souls when the remake comes out. Worth it.

As a former speed runner who had a third place on an old 3D platformer, I can say easily that when you're on a good run, you feel like it's a bad run when you see the splits. The aim is to try and get perfect splits (Sum of Best) but that's not likely to happen due to RNG. It's also a psychological thing, it helps to settle your nerves and relax you by psyching yourself down rather than up, when you feel like you're going great, you'll take more risks.

Speedrunners really are on another dimension. I'm in awe everyday tuning into Distortion 2. The speed, accuracy, perfection. it's fun to watch and i don't even speed run myself.

That secret bonfire in the forest was a gamechanger for me. It must have been brutal for Asmogold to get through there. Before the update when the forest ghost would respond I would glitch them off the cliff jump off to die and reinse and repeat a few times to level boost.

It practically is. The only unintentional damage taken here was the mistimed jump at the bridge and consequently the hydra which was a gamble that paid off. Every other source of damage was calculated.

Haven't played this game in a long while and would love to go through it again not remembering where a lot of stuff is except the good ol black knight halberd literally being the most OP thing in the original. First time with it also being my first souls game was a nightmare and I hated it but now I love these games. They grow on you if you actually stick around long enough
