+Equalizee People really need to start making proper distinctions between hackers and cheaters. Hacking requires actual skill to do, and hackers do cool shit like create their own bosses. Cheaters are just idiots that look up how to lock their HP with CE, and then get killed by gravity/bleed. But people seem to use the terms interchangeably, and it's not really correct.

its not like rolls where its instant (pretty much) invincibility. back steps have it more from mid way through the animation to the end. its more strict but it recovers faster than a roll and uses less stamina. but if you are playing someone from brazil then you might as well fuck it and pray to god they end it quickly.

Darren M 1 phatom is never a god damn problem, they are just as strong as you if not worse, also if it isn't a dedicated gank squad who does it for fun it's probably just a host trying to go through the game, which means he's noob at the game. i have played ds3 for 1000 hours and very rarely loose invasions.

It's worse you two because whites can also heal with estus. Meaning you literally have to one shot them to kill them since they can all just take turns running out and back in. Also there can be 2 Blues so you know that's fun. DS3 invasions are by far the worst in the series, even BBs was better ffs. Also DS3 prioritizes people with summons just like BB. Yeah, it's WAY worse than DS2's which is arguably the best PvP and invasions in the series.

DS2 invasions didn't have infinite use red eye orb. To invade you were forced to duel in an arena that placed players together regardless of their level. A SL1 could fight a max SL600+. DS2 also has no invader healing and had the glorious giants seed, a 2 hour long duration item that makes enemies hostile vs invaders, the only advantage they would have, gone. DS2 was only semi good at duels, and even then duels were back step spam and unlocked spinning in circles. Oh, and DS2 phantoms could still heal by ally miracles, while invaders couldn't heal each other because they were hostile for each other. And DS2 invasions also favored hosts with phantoms. Don't try to give DS2 praise just because its a meme to hate on it. It's a meme to hate it because it just was that bad in certain areas. Also you can't tell me DS2 PvP was good when things like instant poison bat staff, instant parry scimitar, 2k damage dual avelyns, 2k damage power stance helixmastadon, 4 hit combo greatswords, lightning infusion sunlight buffed 160% counter damage chaos sword, 1k damage ice rapier attack, soul memory in its entirety, and other broken unbalanced things that took over a year to get nerfed. Literally no one agrees DS2 had good invasions, only half decent dueling mechanics.

@@tangyblueberry5013 all of the broken stuff you listed there have been nerfed within 1 years of release(which is 6 years ago). And I'm pretty sure you didn't play the game back then so what's the point? And about "back step and circling spam" you talk like these two are the only things you see in pvp duels. They are techniques that only advanced players can effectively use and they are one of many strategies that make ds2's gameplay so unique and deep. You can't do any of these in ds3. R1 and roll spam is way to go in that game which is pretty easy to perform and hard to counter unlike backsteps and circling. Also no matter how good you are the only thing you can do better than an average player is spacing in ds3. There is no depth or thought in its gameplay. Literally a cinematic spamfest both in pvp and pve So anyone who says that DS2 has bad pvp mechanics is either hasn't played the game or is fucking nuts.

Still my all time favorite dark souls weapon. Still go back and play this game just to use this.

You know, several years later I decided to come back to this video cause it was where I finally made my mark on PVP. Before then I just got destroyed by anyone with a semblance of skill, then I picked up the crypt blacksword, learned its moves and timings, and finally got gud for once.

This series made me subscribe. thanks oro!

I liked the Gandalf build. I love when hackers make themselves into a character from the lore, etc. Not completely overpowered, but enough to be pretty damn cool.

I hate to, but I think I agree with Obobobo, Peeve doesn't really plays DS2 anymore, and Brandon would really destroy him... Let' s hope he gits gud in Bloodborne, because he seems to be pretty hyped about it.

Fire guy is using high damage attacks, but they're very predictable and easy to avoid and he was leaving a large enough space between each cast. He went a little bit off with it at the end when he canceled out of an animation and punished, when RPing as a boss you're supposed to play like the NPCs do, but it's hard to shake off the instinct to play like an actual person.

This is still my fav oro video.

Nothing gets me pumped quite like watching daddy bobo play with his black sword ;)

I dont think this is an under-rated weapon 😛 Either way it is some great gameplay

It's underrated in PvP, it *is* popular in PvE though. People just don't want to put forth the effort to make the moveset work for them. :p It's also one of the weapons that greatly benefits from a fast offhand.

Jane Murphy i fell in love with the fudgepop a while back, it does take some getting used to because it's and Ultra, but totally worth it. the 2h running attack is awesome, nobody expects the kcockback. it's all about playstyle and getting used to it being heavy, as you;d expect =]

Hey Oro, Awesome video! Just wondering do you take weapon suggestions for Oro's Arsenal? if so I think doing on on the Sacred Chime Hammer, Lost Sinner's Sword or a Twinblade would be cool and interesting! I know multiple Heavy slow weapons can be redundant which is why I also suggested the Twinblade(s).

Looking back, ds2 was a whole different playing field when it comes to invasions. But it was a hell of a lot more fun than shit souls 3.

Oro if you're gonna invade you cant be mad at people for ganking. Invading is already incredibly scumbag-ish if someone is trying to progress, so you just gotta roll with the punches if they want to make it an unfair fight.

Invading isnt really scumbag-ish as its legitimately apart of the game and there are ways to prevent it. altho yes you can argue summoning is apart of the game and thus making ganking legit but that would be invalid as summoning is intended for coop and people will summon 500 people to fight 1 red cause they cant handle it themselves or create gank-squads which are just 3 people waiting around for reds to pick on. altho yes its legit when a host and some summons are trying to go throo the game and some invader comes and they have to fight, its not legit when its a squad dedicated to ganking or if a host constantly summons phantoms instead of trying for the challenge. THAT is when it gets to scumbag levels

So much complaining about a host summoning people to help him when he's obviously just there for PvE and doesn't want to die to an invader. If you're invading via CREO, this is something you should expect. This isn't "what's wrong with Dark Souls 2," if you're forcing your way into somebody else's world with the intention of fucking up their day, this is how it SHOULD be: in their favor, and with heavy resistance.

+Ayato Naoi Hypothetically speaking why would you need to cater to the person being invaded and not the invader; they're enjoying themselves but just in different parts of the game. The person invading and the person being invaded are just people. I understand that they don't want to lose progress and they should have their own resources in their own world like estus and like one phantom who was helping him for a boss and not summoned to JUST remove the one invader. The odds ruin the invader's fun more than the person being invaded's fun unless the invader enjoys challenges. Besides there are two ways to not be invaded: turn online mode off or burn an effigy, if you can't beat a boss without help then prepare to be punished by invasions as a tradeoff. That's how i see it anyways.

Have you ever heard of home field advantage? They're coming into YOUR world, WITHOUT your permission. Not to mention, they are just a phantom. This leaves them with nothing to lose. Host dies, they lose all current progress, a portion of their max health, and time. Phantom dies? Meh. Pick up bloodstain, move on to the next sorry fool. (Sure they lose CREO, but reds invade for the PvP. Might be less satisfactory to lose, but still.) And you speak as though reds are just completely outclassed. Sure, red phantoms can't use estus, but neither can the host's summoned phantoms. You, though, have the world's mobs on your side. Even if it's just you and one mob against the host, he's in for a world of hurt if you're at the same skill level. And on the topic of skill level, the invader is 90% of the time more skilled than the host, since they're actively searching for PvP while many of the people getting invaded are just there for PvE, with the exception of Iron Keep and Bellfry Luna/Sol. If you still think it's unfair for the host to have a phantom, that's fine. Suck it up and go join the dragon covenant. 1v1 all day, both participants can use estus. But if you are a red, you're FORCING your way into their world. Which brings me back to the main point... You are in their world. You are not supposed to be in their world. They do not want you in their world. You should DEFINITELY be limited in comparison. Basically what I'm saying is that I see red phantoms as perfectly balanced the way they are. When I invade, I lose maybe 25% of the time on average. I just thought the comment Obo made was really whiny and inaccurate. I'd be willing to admit, though, that you should have a limit to your summoning capabilities when a red is in your world. Like, maybe if you have no summons, you can summon one or two to help you, but no more even if they die; meanwhile if you already have some summons, you can't summon any more until the red is gone.

I know this is 5 months old but my problem as an invader just like oros is that I shouldn't have to fight an army. To kill you. Just take the death and pop an effigy and continue on. I believe they should have a system like wig the dried fingers thing where after a set number of summons there should be a time limit unless you die.
