It's wonderful seeing all the generations after mine, still enjoying Bob paint. I remember watching them as they were broadcast in real time. Watching the older ones like this, make me realize just how far color clarity and focus has come since then, with newer technology. May Bob Ross live on, as he was hoping he would. So happy to see the Bob-a-thon videos as well as the ones with his class instructors, Keeping the Bob Ross Dream Alive. Bless all who work tirelessly to allow new generations to learn to paint from someone who loved nothing more, than to show you that you can do it even through those happy little accidents that can always be fixed, and remember to always give your trees a friend. Bless your Spirit Bob Ross, where ever you may be or what ever you have become on the other side. I like to picture him showing the Angels how to paint mountains and clouds with a 2" brush!

My late Mother and I used to watch Bob Ross on the TV. She was enthralled by him and even bought a set of Bob Ross paints and a book. Some kind of collection or set. Even though I was a child, she let me sit with her and have a go. Neither of us had ever painted before and 30 years later, I'm proud to say I still have the paintings we did together, and they were actually pretty good too. Thanks Mum, and thank you Bob.

This exact painting: I remember staying home sick from school one day as a kid. I had seen Bob Ross so many times, and always wanted to follow along and do a painting with him, but never had the right supplies. When he came on and showed us the painting he was about to do, I ran and got my tempura paints, my brushes, and a piece of black poster board to use as the background. No, it didn't come out exactly like the master's did, but I was pretty damn proud of it.

I have seen some stick up there ass artists call his work “bland” and “uninspired”, completely missing the point of it. It’s not meant to be some thought provoking masterpiece, it’s a painting he did in 30 minutes, simple enough to follow along, yet complex enough to surprise you when it’s finished. Bob wasn’t exactly trying to make the viewer feel through the painting, he was marking them feel through the process.

Sounds weird probably.. But, the past week I listen to a few of Bob's videos, drink some beer and relax. Then off to bed. A true iconic legend. Respectable, honorable military man and an amazing artist. The way he leads you through the painting is so elegant and peaceful. Who could ever hate Bob?! So gentle and badass at the same time. Happy side of KZread lol.

@@dakbassett yeah i was talking to a few different accounts my bad. He still signed a contract so im confused what there argument its about.. Was bob not mentally able to sign it or...? that would be harsh to claim after hes gone and cant defend himself. He wanted to spread the message of joy and love with the world not make money.
