    I ran into the same ad issue. This is what I settled on. If you are a KZread partner as you stated you get a fraction of the ad revenue. What you may not know is that if you are a partner you have control of when the ad appears on the video if more than 9 minutes long. You can designate the ad appear before, during or after or any combination of the three. What I do is limit the ads to play at the end of the videos over 9 minutes length. Whatever the channel earns 15% goes to taxes and the rest goes to missions. I am able to not cheapen the message by having ads appear before or during the video. Just something for you to think about.

    A Christian author can write a book that shares knowledge whilst still charging a fee to cover production costs and for sustainment correct ? Likewise, I think even if you wished to accept ad money from KZread to aid in video production that would be perfectly fine in my opinion. However, if the holy spirit convicts you not to, that’s cool. I am impressed at your dedication to provide an accessible resource. Your ministry truly is a blessing. Glad to know you are doing well inspite of your trials. God Bless

    Thank you for the encouragement and support, brother! I would not say that I follow a certain Christian group. In all my searching, I haven't found that the Pre-Nicene Church exists today as it did in those first centuries. As for me, I attend and worship and serve and teach at a local congregation. I encourage everyone to find a church family where they can be welcomed and where they can serve God.

    @@PostApostolicChurch That's great to know, but if you don't mind me asking, what exactly went wrong at the Nicene Council?

  • @PostApostolicChurch

    @PostApostolicChurch

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@bropeterdimond I think there were two significant problems with the Council of Nicaea. Firstly, it was the beginning of the marriage between church and state. That marriage didn't happen at the Council of Nicaea, but that council began a dangerous tradition where the government became involved in matters of the church. Because of that, it didn't take another 100 years for the church to change some of its basic teachings, such as idolatry (icons) and Christian in military service. Those things did not exist before the Council of Nicaea. Secondly, the council made it popular to "anathemize" groups people, kicking them out of the church as heretics. At the Council of Nicaea, the point of the council was to declare Arianism as heresy. The point of another council not long later was to declare the Nestorians as heretics. Did these groups have an inaccurate view of the nature of God? I believe so. But who gave them the authority to kick people out of the church just because they believed something that the Bible does not make clear? Personally, I don't think it was Christ-like to kick people out of the church because their theology had some differences. I could understand doing that if someone was involved in sin, but not about theology that the Scriptures do not make clear. In conclusion, the Council of Nicaea was the beginning of these new traditions. And I believe those traditions did far more harm than good to the church.

    Thank you for commenting. I plan to make a video about what the Pre-Nicene Christians believed about the Sabbath, but it will be a few years before I get to that. I can say that they believed the same thing as what Paul taught in Col 2:16 and Rom 14:5-6. In my own words: the Pre-Nicene Christians did not observe the Sabbath like the Jews did. They viewed all days to be equal in the areas of work and rest. But there were some early Christians who observed special days of fasting. For example, they would fast a day or more before Pascha (Easter). But each Christian decided for themselves what days they would observe. God bless you!

    @@PostApostolicChurch Interesting… Yahweh bless you in the work you do! Those passages are used to prove no Shabbat, but depends how you understand them, I understand the as do not let others judge you for keeping them… and as Rom 14 it talks about fasting in different days… Blessings!

    @@HCA777 Thank you very much. I think the point of the passages (especially Rom 14) is that they go both ways: Christians are not to judge other Christians for keeping the Sabbath day and Christians are not to judge other Christians for not keeping the Sabbath day. :)

    I'm sorry you have gone through that trial. I am going through one as well. I find it hard to lean on Christ while going through tribulation such as this. But, this passage helps me out: "Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world. After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen." 1 Peter 5:6-11 Remember, your experiences are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world. You are not alone.
