Early Christianity on: The Omnipresence of God the Father

To be omnipresent means to be present in all place at the same time. Is God in heaven only? Is God everywhere? Is God in us?

“If you love me, you will obey my commandments. I will ask the Father, and he will give you another helper who will be with you forever. 17 That helper is the Spirit of Truth. The world cannot accept him, because it doesn’t see or know him. You know him, because he lives with you and will be in you. Jesus replied, "Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and WE will come to them and make our home with them I like to see more people believing in the Son and going to Jesus for life. Clearly from above statements I see Spirit, Father and Son in a believer. While I would define such things differently then orthodoxy such as in One God the Father and One Lord Jesus Christ and the HS as the external Spirit of the Father the trinity is far from the error and deception many make it to be. The Spirit is sent in Jesus's name and represents Christ Jesus's presence in His own. It is given through the Son as no one enters the Kingdom of God apart from Him. For those of you who like math such as 1+1+1=3 No one=0

God dwells in the hearts of those HE calls His children by His Spirit. So God is in those indwelt by the Spirit of Christ. Born of God is from above not man. The Spirit of God is in the earth and in believers. The seven eyes of the Lord, (I would assume angels as their is only one divine eternal spirit of the Living God), range throughout the earth. Jesus holds those Spirits in His hands. While Gods angels might ask this Genesis 18:21 that I will go down and see if what they have done is as bad as the outcry that has reached me. If not, I will know The judgment had already been made as God did know and that judgment was carried out as God commanded. Gen 18:17 Then the LORD said, "Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do? The landscape was different before that judgment. Lot looked around and saw that the whole plain of the Jordan toward Zoar was well watered, like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt. (This was before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.)

He is on his throne. (Rev_20:11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it.) Is the Father also in Sheol or Tartarus? Is he in Satan? His life-giving spirit/breath is in the souls of the living and sustains all life.

@@coldboywind4228 now go read it in an interlinear - either Hebrew or greek - the last portion of the first stanza is not the same as the last portion of the second stanza. None of the words are the same, not even the roots, and you will see a bunch of words added that are not in the text. Since the previous context is referring to his spirit (gift of life or character of God) I would lean to this meaning even in Sheol my soul is still sustained until the resurrection, or even your divine character is witnessed in your goodness of preserving souls with a plan to salvation.

But doesn’t Colossians referring to Christ say by him all things consist? I’m trying to learn but don’t want to get mixed up either. I pray in the name of the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit. So, by some of the early writers was their rank placed? I keep Thinking of the disciples saying show us the father and Christ saying you have seen me you have seen the Father. (Paraphrased) I don’t know how they kept from brawls over trying to articulate such a divine mystery.

When it says "by Him all things consist," this is true because Christ was present at the creation. It was through Christ that ALL things were created. Creation was by the Father and through Christ. There are a few Scriptures that speak of this. The most explicit Scripture is John 1:3. Yes, the early Christians showed a rank. It was a rank in Authority. It was NOT a rank in God-hood. The early Christians wrote that the Son is under the authority of the Father, and it has always been this way. Jesus talked about this in John 5 and other places. Jesus always submitted to the Father's authority. When Jesus said that if you have seen Him, then you have seen the Father... There is a lot there. First, the Father cannot be seen by humans. Second, Jesus has equal nature as the Father--They are both God/Divine. Plus, Jesus always does what His Father tells Him to do. So if people were to see the Father, they wouldn't see anything different than what they already see in Jesus. You have very, very good questions. Please keep them coming and I will explain as best as I can. We cannot fully comprehend God, but we can do our best to comprehend what we are able to comprehend. :)

Thank you for commenting and asking. Sadly, I have not found a kind of church today that is the same as the Pre-Nicene church. I could recommend some churches. But first, do you attend a church currently? Generally speaking, would you say that your current church is a godly place where you feel blessed and where you can serve?

Thank you for sharing. Yes, the Anabaptist groups are very close to the Pre-Nicene church. Other groups that I would recommend are the Orthodox churches, the Restoration churches, and some of the Wesleyan churches. All these have some strengths that make them worthwhile to look into. But as you said, all churches are "wrong." Speaking personally, this does not make all churches worthless. After all, most churches today are not as "wrong" as the church in Corinth was when Paul wrote to them. I'm a firm believer that there is no perfect church today. But I'm also a firm believer that the Christian life is not to be done alone. Do you know if any of those Christian groups have churches in your area? God bless you on your journey, brother!

Post-Apostolic Church, that video does not address my point, my point is that Jesus did not know certain things, One of those being that he didn't know the day or the hour, also in revelation1:1 Jesus receives a revelation from the father, now if Jesus was all knowing why would he need his father to reveal something to him? Revelation = revealing. And he grew in wisdom and stature. These are the things that need to be addressed and explaining in your videos.please it would help a lot.

  • @PostApostolicChurch

Thanks for explaining. Here are some of my initial thoughts. (1) I believe that Jesus receiving revelation from the Father is normal procedure for Them. John 8:19-20. (2) It's true that Jesus didn't know certain things, such as the day of His return. To me, this is an evidence to show that Jesus is not the same person as the Father. We see in passages like Mark 2:8 that Jesus, like the Father, knows the thoughts and hearts of each person. So yes, the question remains: Why is there at least one thing that Jesus does not know? I don't think that the Bible gives us the answer. I would guess that the early Christians had some things to say about that. I'll look into it. (3) About "He grew in wisdom and stature," I personally do not believe that Jesus had all-knowledge while He was an infant. I believe, as He grew, His mind developed like any other human. The question here would be: Then when did Jesus realize that He was the Son of God? I don't think there is a way for us to know. I have my opinion on it, but that's all I have. I'll look more into those things that Jesus did not know, like His the day of His Second Coming. I'll get back to you on what the early Christians said about that. God bless!

No offense, but most religions think they are true because they self select the books that prove their own claims. Consider how Eusebius chose the books of the earliest catholic church, or Luther removed books from the protestant bible. Even non Christian religions like the hindu religion select books that prove their own claims.

Thank you for commenting. I agree with you. Even on a personal level, each person has a tenancy to ignore (essentially, tear out) the parts of the Bible that they do not like or do not understand. This is unfortunate. Instead, open-minded folks who are really searching for truth will read more religious texts instead of less. For the honest searcher for truth, truth will be revealed. God bless you!

God is omnipresent, the random order within our 3 dimensional reality (i.e., chance, luck, coincidence...etc.), the Fibonacci sequential blueprint of creation (i.e., 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13...etc.) and the source of life creating and sustaining energy. God is the number 10 (Hebrew), which is the first double digit number (adding another dimension) and after removing the zero (numerology/gematria) you have the number 'one'. "When it comes to the biblical meaning of number 1, we have to say that this number is a symbol of primacy and unity. It refers to the unity that existed between God the Father and Jesus Christ. It is not a secret that there is a strong connection between Jesus and number 1. He was the firstborn human on the Earth and he was also the first who was resurrected to the eternal life." "In the book of Revelation Jesus Christ referred several times to himself as Alpha or the first. It is clear that number 1 is the number of God. There are many words in the Bible that appear only once and those words are: grandmother, eternity, forgetfulness, etc." angelnumber.org/what-does-the-number-1-mean-in-the-bible/
