RECIPE:
for the meat filling:
2 lbs beef
1 TBSP beef bouillon
6 0z can tomato paste
5 sprigs of thyme
5 sprigs of rosemary
5 sprigs of sage
salt and pepper to taste
2 cups water
for the potatoes:
2 lbs russet potatoes
1 cup cream
6 oz butter
2 egg yolks
salt and pepper to taste
for the veggies:
4 carrots
1 leek
2 shallots
4 stalk celery

    Chicken paprikas. I use a Hungarian paprika’s creme that is absolutely delicious. Homemade spastle are a pain but worth it.

    Love how everyone is saying they're proud of Sonny because he's a home grown chef who started from scratch. It's almost like they've never heard his story about working in multiple restaurants, some 3 star Michelin restaurants. He's not homegrown, he's a classically trained chef, with a semi French background.

    uuuuhm. When I left my pan on high and let it warm up for 5 minutes the oil started to burned so I thew the burger on to try to cool it down and then the burger instantly caught on fire! Flames shot up over my head, and every smoke alarm in my house went off lmao... Worth mentioning that oil fires should be smothered and not put out with water. So I'll try leaving my pan on medium for 5 minutes.... Update: 5 min on medium did not get the pan quite hot enough so next time I'll try med/high etc...I was able to get the burn marks off the kitchen ceiling using Bar Keepers Friend and the shepard's pie turned out awesome!

    Using meat extract or paste like Bovril in any meat based dish at home is one of the key cheats I tell anyone about. You’re never going to roast bones and reduce a stock to a glaze at home so it’s a great way to get that umami in

    Interesting, duchess potatoes glazed with egg yokes, I'll be giving that a go. But, I'll still put white pepper in the mash and stick with my mince recipe. I also cheat sometimes but with a stock cube, use less tomato puree than you and cook off a good few splashes of Worcester sauce with it.
