This was an excellent review. I'm still considering getting this for the size, brightness and colors. I have a pretty old ASUS 34" widescreen, its a great monitor, but now I'm in a bright room and it doesn't get bright enough to me and I'm getting tired of how widescreen monitors despite the immersive width don't feel tall enough. I thing the Aorus would solve that for me. My only concern being in a bright room is reflections. The large ceiling to floor windows are on the left side of my desk in an office and there is a white wall facing the monitor and my desk. From a comment you wrote to someone else, you feel as if despite the reflections that the 1000 nit brightness eliminates any reflection concerns?

I myself practically live in my room due to covid and University so I always need to use a display to work on. So, a few people have stated about the text looking not so good with it even looking choppy? is this true? I know I’m late. The text issue is known for BGR displays, which is just RGB in reverse order. So what you can do if you mount it, is flip the monitor upside down, then flip the display 180° so it’s the right way up. That way you shouldn’t have a problem, and it will be displaying in RGB instead

I loved this monitor it's still my favourite overall from the AORUS range. I choose to go with an FI32U (review also on the channel) as it was smaller for my work space. If I was able to be comfortable at my desk with the FV43 I would hands down have chosen it. In hindsight I should have decided on it and wall mounted the monitor to give me a little more space - not that I don't love my FI I just really, really love this monitor. The display is absolutely incredible and it's great for working, gaming both PC and console + if you are into video editing / photography etc the screen is made for it. Cheers and thanks for the positive comment. ~ E

In regards to settings out of the box you can make adjustments via the on screen menu but it's basic. Full changes in SDR mode / display settings / fine tuning would be done via PC. It's my opinion that consoles run 10/10 on this monitor and movies also are excellent. I would in fact purchase this myself it's a really fantastic value monitor. The review and upload is only 30 frames on YT so you can't see what I would see in person but I can guarantee you won't be disappointed with the purchase. Wanted to follow with an update, I recently just updated the monitor to the latest firmware which I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. the monitor get about 60% less hot. In addition, i don’t know if it’s just me, but it looks more color accurate and has virtually no input lag compared to the factory f01 version which I noticed had a small amount when using on consoles. The latest version of firmware is named “f04 beta” and was installed with osd sidekick for those who are curious. (You can find the downloads by typing in on google ‘fv43u update’ and the downloads for osd sidekick and the firmware will be there in gigabytes page for the monitor. Note you will have to use the printer cable thing that came with the monitor and it needs to be connect via hdmi or display port and turned ON for the entire process.) Let me know if you have any questions :)

Not at all! If that's a worry than you could say it about all big displays when it's on a black screen. I recommend also checking out other reviews on YT as a lot of people think this monitor is fantastic. Thanks for tuning in!

They are miss selling this monitor, although it claims to be 2.1 hdmi the bandwidth of said hdmi 2.1 is only 24 not the full 48, this causes some limitations on both consoles, that being said its a great monitor but you can claim your money back from being miss sold a product, which Is what I did and ended up getting a refund and getting to keep the monitor after many emails and photos being sent and extensive testing results sent to the retailer. There is only one review on KZread that actually tells you this so beware anyone wanting to buy this monitor you won't get the 120hz experience it claims on the specs, although you will achieve 120hz its at a major expence to the resolution, which is not the case with other 4k 120hz monitors or even LGs OLEDS. All in all I do love this monitor I just hate companies that lie about something they don't need to. If they told the truth I'd be more than happy but people want the full potential of their consoles to be realised through their monitor or tv and unfortunately this monitor cannot do that which is a shame as its otherwise almost perfect.

You are correct ,I purchased this on the basis of it being hdmi 2.1 ,I doubt I woul get a refund from Scan uk though as would need to prove it ,feel ripped off to be honest ,might just get an LG c2 -42 ,,,very annoyed as to sell it on eBay would lose money

I had no issues playing console OR PC via laptop with this display. It also has a 1ms response time. I've reviewed the FI model on the channel plus a new Fo48U review is in the final stages of being uploaded to the channel shortly. Thanks for watching.

I beg to differ as it doesn't suit for the KVM feature. This screen also has so many adjustable settings it's hard to beat. Check out other reviews on this screen if you're still unsure on what to look at buying.
