Aorus 43inch 144hz 4K Monitor! (FV43U)

Ойындар

The Aorus FV43U is an incredible monitor that I know is going to be called a TV by a lot of people but who cares this thing is 4K 144hz and it runs great! I still have more things to test out and dig into for the final review but this has truly impressed me and I can't wait to spend more time gaming on it. For those looking to take advantage of the 120hz on next gen consoles this may end up being the right monitor for you. Fingers crossed I can get my hands on one for the final review but that may not happen.

Btw your videos do echo, you'd might wanna consider getting absorption panels, the ones you're using in your august setup are just for aesthetics they don't do anything besides that. Get a carpet and if you wanna save bucks put empty egg boxes on your wall, not as pretty but they do work xD Oh and consider getting curtains too :P

Glad you got it and now you can see about the over heating issue and how good video quality is. How well are the camera does when taking shots too. How you feel now that's it's in your hands? How long does the battery last after full charge? In next few weeks it will be exciting for you and I hope you get many years of great use from it! OK so I recently purchased this monitor - it's great except for one issue I'm having...the glare! It's just too extreme despite no real light sources interrupting my image. Was wondering if you know of an option out there for an antiglare screen that might improve this issue for me? I absolute LOVE it but people should be conscious of this being an issue.

@@Secondwind_TV Hey man, I personally feel it's better then the Odyssey. Blacks on the Odyssey seemed a bit washed out imo (and I really hated the curve). the FV43U blacks are very well handled, not like OLED quality but still very good I personally don't really notice the black smearing with this monitor. Being a VA panel the smearing in general is noticeable especially in first person games but overall not something that will completely take you out of the experience. it's extremely immersive.

Hey, awesome video covering a lot of information about the 43in monitor scene. I have a question about the VA panel, from what I can see it uses a BGR subpixel arrangement which has been problematic on some of the other 43in monitors out there, not a major issue but enough to make me pause on buying one. So how is the monitor for web browsing forums or reading text documents (word and pdf). Thanks in advance, and I hope to see a follow up full review soon. Your review of this monitor has been the best I've seen so far.

Hello, I am using KTC G48P5 OLED monitor to play games. I tested several games like Resident Evil 3/2/8, Sekiro, and Elden Ring. And I found the dark region is not so clear as the OLED should be. So I tried to set the "dark balance" of the monitor from 50 to 100, it got much better, BUT the bright things like sunlight is distorted. That means I can't get a natural visual from that OLED monitor by setting the "dark balance". So I want to buy a non-oled monitor like this one to see if it gets better. I noticed that this monitor has a similar function "dark balance" to improve the darkness clarity, but I'm not sure whether this feature also increases the overall brightness just as the KTC does. If it affects only the dark region, I think it's OK for me to buy it. Could you please take some tests on that function? Thank you in advance!

I also have a lg gp850 b for competitive games and web surfing and other pc like things. the perfect 4k monitor is the new 32 inch mini led but they are 3-5k which is just gut punching. So this monitor at 43 which is smaller than the lg 48 will be perfect. Id say if you had a good second monitor than this would be a perfect match as I am going to get this most likely. I mean at this price point you cant get any better 1000 nit hdr 4k 144hz panel. About 4 feet is perfect for all games. Also this monitor includes a remote control so you dont have to use the nipple/button to change the monitor settings which is a plus. And when properly wall mounted it clears up desk space and just looks clean at list my cx 48 did.

@@chrispreczewski well if you are going for 4k gaming the gp850 is only qhd. Still very sharp at 27 inches and perfect for just about every title. But don't expect hdr as it's only hdr400. I'd say go for the 43 since its priced similar to the gp/gn950 but has much better hdr performance and better black levels. After having a large monitor coupled with a 27 inch it's perfect for me.

Problem with CX is its peak brightness is too low for HDR. This monitor does 1000 nits peak with 750 typical. Thats a good hdr range. CX is obviously great for movies, dark scenes. For games, while CX is great, it's better to first find out what you prefer. Do you prefer deep blacks (high contrast) or better HDR performance? For HDR performance, you need a high brightness panel like this. It will almost always win over CX. My 2 cents is if you are buying a monitor cum tv for your desk, then get a non oled like this and enjoy the hdr performance. If you are buying a TV for movie watching and couch gaming, usually a bigger size tv than 43 inch, then get the OLED.

@@krishnav5122 i understand peak brightness is important for hdr performance, but is it the only contributing factor to overall HDR image? What about the perfect blacks and infinite contrast of the OLED, does that not offer anything to HDR performance? When I played RE2:R on the CX in HDR, I was blown away at how good it looked! I just can't imagine a VA panel looking as nice, I would like to be wrong though because I want a smaller screen than the 48CX, but I don't want to trade image quality at the same time.

@@noelnarayan6135 obviously, I am not saying CX is bad at HDR, but when putting side by side, then you see which is better at HDR. You asked a question comparing oled and this panel for a 43 inch monitor comparison. I have to pick one as better ,but doesn't mean other is bad or worse. Perfect blacks gives you less blooming, more shadow detail (without blowing up the image) etc. Yes it looks good. Take night game play in RDR2 or Last of US 2, in those cases, CX may have edge over a 1000 nit panel like this - because overall scene brightness itself doesn't exceed 150 nits - so yeah, CX wins there. However, you gotta ask yourself what % of games and gameplay are like that where CX wins. If you play darker scene games more, then CX makes sense. However this doesn't mean a non-oled looks necessarily worse in those scenes. Most games I play tend to have more re bright scenes than night ones because games want players to see stuff most of the time. Put an OLED and a high brightness panel side by side, in a bright HDR scene, and you would like the high brightness panel. On top of that, this is a smaller 43 inch size monitor, not TV. You see blooming easily on bigger tvs, but local dimming is easier to do on smaller ones. And there's no risk of burn in if you connect a PC where the task bar and stuff are there most of the time in specific location of screen. When you are sitting closer, in my opinion, this panel makes sense. This comes with PC relevant features

@@krishnav5122 i just got rid of my FV43U after only a few hours of use, and will keep my CX. The Aorus is a good monitor but besides the peak brightness, the CX Oled absolutely destroys the Aorus in every regard, reaponse, color, blacks, contrast, input speed. I am a very sensitive gamer, and it is much nicer to play HDR games on the CX then the FV43U.

If you wanna save money go with the 32inch or if your viewing distance is close as the 43 inch at a close distance feels like to much screen in your face. The higher nits at a close distance is to much also so you’ll end up turning the brightness way down

@@1UpNerdcore yeah I thought about that but I had a cx 48 and it was fine so the 43 won't be too bad and the 32 inch is only like 150 cheaper at the moment. I'd use the 43 when playing more open world games for better immersion. Plus I am one of the few who don't keyboard and mouse. I'd also be using this for my series x and ps5. I'd do my faster pace fps games on the 27inch 1440p. But I'll keep it in mind.

Im going to say Gigabyte, because they have been releasing some very good panels lately. I have their recent FI27Q-X, and it is probably the best IPS panel I have used, overall it seems to be so well designed, sturdy, robust, and gorgeous. I had a few Asus displays, and I was never overly impressed with them like I am with my current Gigabyte. I already have the CX, otherwise I would also get this FV43U
