Slowly realizing and getting swapped with a doppelganger into a doomed parallel universe is such a horrific way to go. You're just unable to do anything because your parallel self did all of that just so they could escape. It's almost tragic in a way.

The first game was definitely a hit in the guts. When you start realizing what's going on, you can't stop thinking how cruel but desperate we are. It's a slow kill before the fatal blow, before the real Abby understands it's over. And it hurts. Cheers to the dev.

In The Other Room was quite good, that's a fun take on the doppelganger story. You doom your alternate self, but it's hard to blame the protagonist when she just wanted to live. Uploaded was fine, short but it got the job done.

There's a movie called Coherance(2014) that the first game reminded me of. It's a mystery movie where during a house party, after a mysterious comet passes overhead, someone in the room is replaced by an alternate reality doppelganger, and everyone turns on eachother trying to prove whose from the original timeline.

"Ultimate Hot Weather Gardening Tips"reminds me when someone said rising sea levels would allow for more ocean front property. I like these games where you 're the "evil" doppelganger, like RPGMaker game where you were the cute sheep's reflection. Manly missing the warning the first time, and getting the "I'm not dealing with this horror stuff" ending first is great.

I wonder if there's a way to have both Abby's stay in the same universe. It's a tragic(and well done) story that only one could stay while the other suffered. Maybe there's a way for both to grab onto each other and pull one another through. Then destroy the mirror before it can suck one through.

I don’t think that would work. I believe there are multiple theories that the same being and another cannot exist at the same time in the same universe and would result in cancelling each other out ….well you know what happens in that process

Personally though, and I know this is messed up to say, I feel that's better then the alternative of only one getting to be happy.

The first game reminds me of season 1 Rick and Morty where their entire world ended and now have to search where a Rick and Morty dies and assume their place. However, this is a much more depressing situation as the Abbey we are playing has the opportunity to escape in exchange of leaving her counterpart to die in her apocalypse world. I don't think our Abbey is evil just desperate to leave the world she was in. Also I need to rewatch the video but I think their rooms reflected as well. You can tell based on the positions of the mirror and window.

In the Other Room is just one of those concepts that keeps me up at night.

i was just wondering about the food and water. if the tally marks on the wall means days since mother was gone, and the end of the game only increased the tally mark by 3, does this mean that abbey ate all that food and drank all the water in a mere 3 days? or is there a time difference between the two worlds? Seems like abbey's room didn't change much between the periods when the player character and abbey switched.

Reminds me of the film Us. Initially, it makes me think about how I want a good ending where I refuse to steal her place (because I'm not going to truly belong in her world anyway) but I guess there would be no game if you refused to steal her place. I think that's why I prefer watching games like this rather than playing them myself. I don't like being forced into a moral choice I wouldn't make.

What if the original ManlyBadassHero was lost from this world and replaced by his doppelganger: WimpyBadassHero?

While not wrong, I know that I have typed a lot of "just a minute, I have to go get something" type messages that take nearly as long to type as walking the three steps to the table to get the thing would. Obviously the situation in the game is a little more pressing, but it's just not time you think about. Especially if she was already at the computer giving her friend live updates on her research. So I'm gonna say it's within reason.

The second game got it accurate lmao. Im a filipino and the environment is almost the same with mine. Like in my room rn, I got the air-conditioner and fan really close to my desk. And above my closet are a bunch of jesus or mary figurines. I'd also have a stuffed toy on my desk to reduce stress or anxiety when doing homework lol. And finally, the horror of posting/uploading something with a bad net. All said, I bet most Filipino viewers would relate to my comment. Anyways, keep up the great content manly! You're my most fav out of all the indie-horror youtubers

There should have been a alternate ending to "In The Other Room" where you get pulled back into your doomed world for one last time and the real Abby smashes the mirror trapping you in your doomed world. The ending would be a timed event where you don't smash the mirror before your time runs out.

"Oh my God, I'm in the 90s! Quick let's play some actual good video games!" The mood of that statement hit so hard! Lol 😆🤣😂

I'm reminded of how my brother used to warn me that if I stood too long over a puddle I'd fall in and switch places with my reflection.

I’ve been watching your videos for quite a while, and lately My sister and I have made it a habit to watch them together when a new video hits at roughly 2am almost every time. Feels like something that just comes naturally for us now. Like a little bonding experience. This evening tho I fell asleep at a reasonable time and woke up mid video. It could have also been a "Tales From The Darkside". Although there was an episode of the original Twilight Zone that had a woman being terrorized at a bus/train station by her doppelganger. Is that the one you're thinking of?

So not only were they using Internet Explorer, but also apparently an older version of Windows.

Outer Limits is definitely a dark enough show to pull off that ending TBH. And then shows you the little girl getting immolated by the embiggening Sun. A classic series.

Okay, the plot was cool but what keeps me coming back is that absolute *bop* of a song.

You know it's bad when the parallel dimension actually tried to embrace Earth 2. Poor Abby is stuck in a land of jpegs. In all seriousness, I really liked The Other Room. That one's going to stick with me for a while. Uploaded was good for a laugh in terms of how horrifyingly slow the bar went up.

The first game was short and simple but very effective in delivering it's message, made me shiver a bit after I realized what fate would await the abby from the ok world ... Very good!

On the second game, the protag is so dedicated they painted their entire room "greenscreen" green

You know the first game's a fantasy cuz Strayans would never trust the government after recent events, even 17 years later.

In the first game, whoever stayed in Earth 1, they're dead, no food, no water, and probably about to be killed. This reminds me of the Webtoon Parallel City, which *SPOILERS* in Earth 1 a apocalypse happened regarding zombies, many died but some survived, some survivors have been searching for this thing called a DLS which can take them to our earth, Earth 2, a uninfected land, the catch is you have to kill your own self in this universe (Earth 2's you), it's a amazing read and very interesting, currently the plot is has many ways to go, one of them is preventing the infection from being brought over and making Earth 2 become like Earth 1. edit: cleared a bit the text

In the Other Room is one of those good games that make me think after the playthrough. I like those stories that make the audience unintentionally imagine themselves in the same situations.

That first one was very thought provoking, I'd wonder if they couldn't write messages to each other in each other's worlds n maybe the Abby in the nicer world could have left bottles of water and food in her room for the other to take back with them n things if stuff hadn't been quite so desperate - also I do wonder if the stuff being knocked over and used up near the end was the other Abby being desperate in our world or our one

On one hand I'm terrified of horror games but on the other hand I love your videos, from your humor to how you just commentate.

that first game is amazing tbh. super creative. i LOVE the ambience of the apocalypse room. it really plays on you not knowing wtf is going on out there, really. its kinda chilling as it leaves everything up to your own imagination

About the first game, switching worlds via the mirror...You said that it seems to be more like Outer Limits than Twilight Zone. Twilight Zone dealt with pretty much any brand or genre of horror but Outer Limits was more geared to Sci-Fi Horror than Twilight Zone. So, yes I think you got it pegged.

_Internet Explorer was the greatest horror_ I enjoyed the multiverse game the most. The idea of another dimension existing is frightening anyway, especially when things aren't just a little off, but you're in dire straits. I'd smash that mirror too.

There was an old Twilight Zone episode called _The Parallel_ that featured an alternate dimension with an astronaut. It was pretty freaky and well written by Rod Sterling. No mirror tho.

I think that was just an arbitrary gameplay mechanic to force you to "cooldown" from running right back in and encourage you to look at your surroundings.
