What is it with people and living in bunkers that don't have a built in power generator? A bunker that you can disable and flush people out of that easily isn't a bunker, it's a deathtrap.

And the thing is, depending on the time of night it’s likely they could have waited till dawn (or atleast when it’s not pitch black outside) to go fix the power, I’d assume they atleast have pretty good insulation and are pretty far underground, the dish was busted so it’s fairly obvious someone wants them out in the dark (haven’t seen the whole thing yet, but that’s not an unreasonable assumption) it would probably be abetted move to just hunker down and bundle up rather then risk going out in the dark to try and fix the generator. Now if this was like, one of those times where there’s literally no daylight at all for like several months that would be different, but this doesn’t seem to be that.

the implication to me, was that jenny was the bat-ish-thing. Probably caused by the "angel skin" stuff. It said it got under the skin, the guy mentioned how jenny was found strung up in a tree "skinned" maybe the implication is meant to be all they found was her skin, thus the "angel skin" stuff caused her to mutate out of her skin.

Great game

Can't really sympathize with the first game's main character, I can't see myself thinking it's totally safe to approach a giant fishing lure when I'm out there fishing in a place I shouldn't be. As for the second, that established some solid scares. Seeing the eyes at the top of the ladder was great.

_"You're not going to make it up to me tomorrow... I'll be dead"_ Never be the fix-it guy. The sounds of the wind and cold in the second one made me really want hot chocolate! Those tapes were very creepy. The monster was Randy...enjoying eating Jenny and not in a flirty way. And of course, you were irresistible bait in the first game...that fish knew a good thing when it saw it lol. I liked both games. :)

Well, for the second game, it kind of makes sense at the time that Randy told the protag to go and tend to the generator, considering they were hearing banging on the door to their bunker. The fact they were asking for them to go out and fix the dish twice was more frustrating, but at the same time they seemed to be monitoring the dish, so it would make sense if that was THEIR role, then the MC would be the one to go out. Obviously, would have been smarter if both bunkers were equipped with monitoring equipement, but oh well...

I had to rewatch since i wasn't paying attention. But I thought Manly said "Dish out, a game about making a salad dish, and that's it" the brain is a funny thing

The titles to these are continuously getting more chaotic/insane and I love it.

so is the plot twist that this angelskin product made people's skin actually slide off so they became skinwalkers to steal the skins of others to survive?

What a misleading title screen. It says "lure" but because of the font I read "Ivre", which means "Drunk" in french, so I was expecting something else! So for this reason I guess Lure is an appropriate title after all! :p

the catfish creature in the first game is an Ōnamazu, which usually lives beneath the Earth and can cause earthquakes if its movements are too intense.

I love the posters for horror movies like The Thing , and Lon Chaney's Phantom of the Opera, in Game 2 XD they put a lot of effort into those so you knew what they were!

How many horror fishing games do we have now? I’m surprised there is more than one but I’m also amused by it. The horror game community can be very creative and full of out of the box ideas.

Why are we fishing at a temple we're probably not supposed to be at? Poor choices. 🍿

JUMP SCARES: 1 minor jump scare at the end of game 1 at 3:50 and is completely over at 3:59 1 major jump scare at the end of game 2 at 17:36 and is completely over by 17:38 - jump scares do not effect the quality of game 2 but is the main point for game 1. in game 1 it plays a part in the story in game 2 it mainly serves the purpose of leaving you extra scared at the end of the game to leave an ominous tone. SPOILER for jump scares: at the end of game 1 the jump scare is a human head and torso (non-realistic graphics) on the end of a fishing hook that a giant fish is using to lure you, he then pulls you in on a fishing hook, eats you, and the game is over. at the end of game 2 the jump scare is the two eyes from earlier in the game screaming and coming toward the screen abnormally fast. it is implied the monster kills you. the game then continues while the credits play and no new visual elements are released.

Dude, the scene where you look up the ladder in the second game and those eyes are there reminds me of the scene in Until Dawn when Mike has that rifle and he aims it up a tall empty shaft, and you have the option of firing, ugh I get chills even thinking about it. I don't know if the dev got the inspiration from Until Dawn, but I loved it for how creepy it was.

Ah, yes. Silent hill, this is definitely silent hill.
