    Just had to upgrade/downsize jackets, had this exact one and colour scheme last. Cannot beat that nucleons flex armor. Upgraded to the atem v4 and it comes with the hard armor. Will definitely change the internal armor over to the nucleon flex again. Any1 that is considering the comfort department with this jacket DONT THINK TWICE!.

    Keep in mind: leather will break in around 10-15% after a month or so of riding. So you should be OK with the 56.

    Essentially yes, but they also add the stretch at the lower drop seat of the jacket to connect with the pants similar to the stretch found on most 1-piece suits. If you have any other questions or concerns, please reach out to our Gear Geeks at 877.792.9455 or cs@revzilla.com. Ride safe, Pat

    Is this a good cut for tall (6'4", 42" chest), long slim torso? I have Dainese Racing 3 size 104 and would want something at least as long, with maybe a bit more room in chest area. If not that, what else do you propose?

  • @RevZilla

    @RevZilla

    3 жыл бұрын

    As far as brand comparison's go - almost all Alpinestars sport jackets will be better for taller figures than their Dainese counterparts in the market. Dainese tends to keep the torso length shorter in most of their sport jackets to keep it out of the way of the rider's waist line in the full tuck position. However, for those taller riders that does make it look a bit shorter on their frames. So essentially the TL:DR explanation; yes this will give you a bit more length in the Torso for your height, but only a bit. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our Gear Geeks at 877.792.9455 or CS@revzilla.com. Ride safe, -Pat

    @@RevZilla Thanks for the reply. Size 104 in Dainese is actually size 52 with extra torso and sleeve length for taller riders. Hence, based on what you said, I conclude I should not expect A* 54 to be longer than Dainese 104. What I wonder is if they'd be comparable.

    You are likely going to be best fit in the size 52 since your chest measurement has you right there and that is the key to a great fitting jacket. The 50 might be a better option for some of your other measurements, but if you can't breath in it than it wouldn't be the best of choices. If the 52 doesn't fit, you may fit better in a Dainese or REV'IT! jacket to best fit your overall sizing. Astars calls out having about 4cm of space at the chest circumference for their measurement. We usually say - if you can wear a thick hoody underneath the jacket comfortably, you should be just fine. The jacket has enough stretch built in for the deployment, but you want some extra space than you usually would when it comes to sizing.
