Is this a full summer jacket or is it geared towards those cooler early days of summer and the autumn days approaching winter to keep a bit more cold protected during those times?

If I have a spill and go sliding at freeway speed in a mesh jacket is it going to hold up? Please make a more detailed review on this(how to remove elbow and shoulder armour) planning to purchase..

At freeway speed, it will likely need to be replaced, but that's usually the case with textile jackets. They're good for one big crash, but they do their job by reducing impact energy and taking abrasion, so your skin is saved. -DrewZilla

Hi, I'm after a sporty textile jacket that I can wear all year round. The only issue is that I am a slim build, around 6'3" tall with longer arms and torso. Can you suggest a specific jacket or manufacturer? Thanks.

What size do you recommend for 5’11, 210lbs, 38 inch waist? Is the Alpinestars jacket meant to short on the bottom and somewhat snug overall?

Are the shoulder and elbows armour removable? And what size is the back armour ?

Yes, the shoulder and elbow armor is removable. As for back armor, it is sold separately, and the back protector size is based on the jacket size. Men's jackets size XS-MD use the Nucleon Size Small (SM). I don't understand, does this come with protection or just the space to put d30 protection ?

This comes with CE Level 1 armor in the elbows and shoulders, and has a pocket for the back protector. The Nucleon will be an exact fit, but D3O could be trimmed to fit if you'd like to use that instead! I hope that helps, -Zack

It is not waterproof and doesn't come with a rainliner. Look for "WP" or "Drystar" in the name for waterproof jackets from Alpinestars. I got this in a size medium, and the medium size d3o backplate (I got a Furygan one) fits reasonably snug, it has a slight bit of wiggle room.

The shoulder and elbow pads aren't removable right?

The T-Faster Air is just slightly lighter, but the Wake Air has more mesh for better ventilation during the summer. RevZilla there is also a Durango air jacket , pls advise when compared to t faster and wake air jacket .. my requirement is city ride with lighter version and best in summer

Unfortunately, we don't have the Durango Air Jacket, so I cannot advise on the differences. For city riding, I would choose the Wake Air. -DrewZilla

If you're on a budget, then go with the T-Faster. However, if you can afford it, the T-GP Plus R v2 Air offers better materials and better protection. -DrewZilla

The Eclipse's textile is slightly more durable for the slightly higher price tag. However, if you want the ability to add chest armor, then I'd go with Alpinestars. -DrewZilla
