I just purchased this jacket from STG (murdered out black version), and have had it about a week. Did one short ride in it so far, and this jacket flows tons of air, it is extremely light weight, and comfortable beyond any explanation. I added the nucleon back protector, and when you have this jacket on, it feels amazing. You don't really feel any stiffness in the protection areas, other than the back area where nucleon back protector lives, but it is very minimal from upright position to tuck. This is a great hot weather riding jacket, and top quality you would expect from A-Stars. After seeing the camo version on Van, I'm thinking I should have gone with that choice instead...that color and pattern is sick.

I bought this jacket when I was looking for a new summer jacket last spring, 2020. MY GOD! One year later and I've purchased 2 other jackets, one Enginehawk (Predator) and another Alpinestars (T SP-5 Rideknit). The Enginehawk is part of their initial release and feels like a Winter Jacket released in the Summer with an additional $200 on top of this jacket... The Rideknit feels great, but it's more of a Spring, Fall Jacket. This jacket is still my go to and will be until the V4 comes out most likely. Thank you for the in depth review and spreading the word about this AMAZING jacket!

The previous version of this jacket is my 'summer' weather choice, that one flows a ton of air. The Bio-Air armor, paired with the KR-2i Nucleon back insert, didn't impede airflow at all. If this version is even close to as breathable, you'd be an idiot to not at least try it on.

Bit surprised there is no venting to the arms. I tried the V2, didn't like it as there was no airflow in the arms except at the outside of the biceps, it would be better to have airflow up along the inside of the arm the way Dainese do it, this version looks the same as the V2 with no arm vents.

Hello Van! I purchase the jacket based on your review of it and love it! I ride an 18 Goldwing and the air flow is minimal due to the bike fairings and windshield. So I’m looking forward to use it more during the spring/fall and not in the summer of Northern Virginia. Which other jacket you would recommend for a GW rider! Thank you in advance!

Leather will ALWAYS be better in a crash. That said the textile stuff has show to hold up well over the years. I would recommend adding the back protector insert to the coat for both impact and abrasion protection. The jacket would then have armor at most all of the common contact points which really increases the abrasion resistance. - Van
