Great review, thanks for sharing these insights. I have this jacket. I love how the all-black color option is pretty low key until you get up close. I have the level 2 back armor and don't even notice it's in there. Overall, the jacket feels supportive and surprisingly comfy. And it looks amazing. The airflow is great. Amazingly, if it's a bit cool out, you get too much cool air, but because there's leather everywhere else, it ends up not being too bad, especially in the chest area. Below around 17C / 60F, wear a liner and it feels great.

Thanks Rene, based on your review I went ahead and bought this jacket, and absolutely love it, it’s a perfect summer hot weather ‘leather’ jacket, has ventilation where it’s required, and quality, comfort is top notch.

Great video. Sometimes there are differences between the Euro-spec and US-spec for whatever reasons. I'm guessing you're in the Americas. I've got a perforated Missile Tech Air (ready jacket) because I got a better discount and it's higher spec than the GP plus R v3. It's an easy fix to make a perforated jacket more cold and wet weather ready. Something called layering. You can add your own windproof liner - a goretex jacket (or similar), either on top or underneath. I've almost always worn leathers due to the vastly superior safety they provide. I just carry waterproofs with me, almost anything will work and they don't need to be expensive. I always replace the armour in almost any garment or remove entirely. A pressure suit style abrasion resistant material with level 2 armour in works better and adds extra protection. I use a Bull-it covec airflow suit. It's similar to kevlar in abrasion performance.

Great feedback, thanks! I also agree, layering and other types of weatherproof gear can definitely help mitigate the issues. I do try to keep the amount of gear necessary to a minimum if it is possible and safety is not compromised. But there are always times when it just is what it is, right? I am in the US but am really glad to hear from riders in other countries too! Thanks again, be safe!

My alpinestars tgp plus rv2 air textile jacket is size S, the size of this jacket is at least 48 size. I want it to fit me well. Without tech air, I don't want it to be too loose on me.

That shouldn't be a problem at all. They have done a great job at making the jackets fit as close to the same with or without the Tech Air. Good luck, be safe!

Lol! That's kind of like the "What is the best oil for my bike question?"! I usually use a micro fibre rag with some warm water just to get the bugs off so I really can't weigh in on the leather cleaners. If you have some success with something specific please let me know! Thanks and be safe!

@@cyclegearguide1493 I used (Leather honey) to condition it. It was a little dark with extremely minimal shine for a weak or so. Now it's slightly darker with no shine. Excellent product. Glad I gave it a shot. The trick is to wipe on and off after a hour or so. It gets too soft if left on for 24 hours as the directions suggest. Soap and water to clean bugs

Zippers on European jackets are "the other way round", i.e. like for womens' gear in the US. I live in Europe and I had the opposite experience, I bought an american designed Klim jacket and found that the zipper was "on the wrong side", zipping up like European jackets made for women.
