One-piece for track riding and going fast. Two-piece if you're just doing some street/mountain riding. I almost always use my two-piece because I can remove the top-half when getting something from the store or getting food without looking like an absolute tool in a one-piece

Alpine Star has suits that are meant to be worn on the steets so they fit like a normal jacket and can be worn as a track suit

I recommend a two piece suit for street. You can put your jacket away when stopped, going for a drink or a lunch. A one piece suit offers a higher degree of protection as it doesn't have a zipper that can become a weak spot, so is a No1 choice when going to track.

The reason motorcycle suits and jackets are tight is because when you crash and you break something you will stay in the shape of a person so the bones can be put back together easily

True. I prefer a 1 piece for the track, jacket and riding jeans/pants for the street. Two piece are a bit bulky in the middle but it’s easier to go to the bathroom with them.

The nice ring of a 2 piece is that when you go riding and you want to stop to get a drink in the sun you can take of your jacket because it gets hot sometimes.

Some two-piece suits are designed to be worn with the jacket only. I have an Alpinestars suit with a longer jacket length and a bit of a tail. Works great for jacket-only riding.

But what's the point doing jacket only riding? Sure, your torso will keep it's skin, but what about your legs? Not too concerned with road rash on your thighs? I'm not doubting your abilities either. It's the morons that say "he came out of nowhere" all while you were doing the speed limit, and they were fucking around with something in their car. I don't think it's worth going without the lowers on. Not like it saves on time. Could prove to cost more time in the long run.

A quick tip for fitting is zip up the jacket and you should just barely be able to pinch the zipper and material into a handfull. If it's easy to get a handful with extra slack it's too big.

Either a defect or just not good product I have always had two piece suits from the higher end of the prices and multiple crashes they never failed. I agree that one piece is the way on track but two piece for street as going to a toilet for example in a one piece is not good specially if it is more than to p.

Go to a motorcycle gear store and talk to some people there. They'll show you many things that will make your rides safer and work best for you to stay comfortable on the bike. Much better than getting your knowledge from KZread.

Finally someone with some common sense! For me the 2-P suit is just pointless, neither as safe as 1-P suit nor convenient as a standalone jacket/trousers.

The two piece makes sense if you ride around and stop at cafes etc. it means you can take the jacket off whilst you’re stopped to get some fresh air

I got one with straps on the side so i can tighten it and loosen it for on the way to the buffet then back. 😂😂😂

I think if you have a track and like to do the 'sport' riding and hardcore cruises , go with a 1 piece but eventually have both sets. For me nit having a bike yet but so damn interested. I'll be getting 2 piece for sure. 2 piece to start because I got no track or hardcore curvy roads lol
