Al Snow has always said that back in the day when the business was still protected, it was harder to get into the Mafia than Professional Wrestling. What's fascinating is OGs like Snow went from protecting the business so kids like me at the time believed it was real, to now protecting the art that pro wrestling once was from all these young mark lames that think they've "evolved" the game. Look at all the podcasts today of legit people in the business who were in WCW or WWF/WWE that are so willing to shoot on the business in order to now preserve the art they were once apart of. Even more interesting is I find that way more entertaining than the joke of a product the business puts out now.

People have whiffed and missed moves in wrestling before AEW. It's just that many of the wrestlers on AEW TV are not ready to be on tv. Or they try to do an unsafe potentially dangerous move. In order to get an ooooooh from the crowd

Ricky is a young guy trying to move up, and Bryan Danielson is not only one of the biggest stars in the business in the last 20 years, but he is also on the disciplinary committee. If I were Ricky, I wouldn't want to wallop him with a chair either. What happens if you make too much contact? It looked bad, but I can forgive Ricky for that one, due to the circumstances.
