Rousey has no problem pointing this out about WWE yet for Sports Illustrated, she had no issue stripping down naked and having her body painted for a photo shoot that sexualized her? Where's the anger about her and other female athletes being made to do that just to sell the magazine?

It's like when someone goes to court they bring up all their past charges because it shows character reference. When I was growing up I used to think those women did it cause they wanted to which as a young girl meant they couldn't be a role model or anyone I could imitate on wrestling night like all the other kids did with their favorite wrestlers. As I got older I began to understand that was absolutely not the case. They were sexualized and bound by contracts for the humiliation and pleasure of some. Since you are here to defend, the behavior sounds like you may have been one of those. But more and more are finally standing up and finding ways out of those silencing NDAs.

They are so hypocritical. One minute it's sexist and objectification to have semi nude women in bra & panties , mud wrestling etc. However when then faced with a culture that is the opposite and doesn't allow that kind of thing & doesn't think its right to have women semi nude like Saudi Arabia, then THATS sexist and subjugating women too & they should be allowed to do that. Make up your minds! Young men these days don't have a clue what on earth women want. Do they want to be treated like women or do they want the guys to treat them like they'd treat another guy.... it depends in the situation & if its beneficial to the woman. They expect the men to be mind readers too and know. It should be part of any marriage vow & papers they chose which they want then must stick to it or it's a just reason for a divorce without getting a penny of the man's money. And I'm not sure if the law now is the exact same for a husband gets 50% of his rights wife's money in a divorce even if he didn't work or do a thing during the marriage. Just like the bimbo wives that do nothing but get their nails done etc all day then just get 50% of the rich husbands money in a divorce.

Shayna Baszler, Ronda’s good friend, has had success in WWE despite never having had a bra and panties match or having her looks play a factor, but she’s also a much better wrestler than Ronda is, which is what this is really about. As soon as they stopped booking her to hide her shortcomings, everyone saw how bad Ronda was in the ring, and they let her know it, and her ego can’t handle it. In her mind, because she is “real,” she should be seen as being above other wrestlers, but most of them were better than her. But she can’t handle that, so she has to come up with all of these things that have nothing to do with her to make WWE look bad. WWE has a lot of ugly skeletons in their closet, but most of the example she cites happened before she ever got there, and she was fine with looking past them to take the money.

The reason the "Bra & Panties Match" is always brought up is because, during that period of time, that was commonly the HEADLINING event for the women. You never saw a Tuxedo Match headline a Wrestlemania or a major PPV for the men. Featuring Bra & Panties Matches so much as the TOP female attraction for the women devalued the women who could really work and could have bean real headliners for the women's division during that time. People like Victoria, Gail Kim, Jacqueline, Jazz, Ivory, Molly Holly....etc... were criminally underused in their careers because of this type of stuff. As a guy, it's not that hard for me to comprehend if I take my personal biases, opinions and feeling out of it.

Also, most mens wrestling tights are essentially just briefs... And they don't strip down to them as part of the match. They strip down to it as part of their entrance. Edit: Also, didn't Ronda herself profit from doing a nude photoshoot of her own accord? Now that she's getting older and is not the big hot star she used to be, it's suddenly bad for women (and the companies they work for) to profit from a woman's sex appeal? No. This is just the typical BS when people who did it regret it and want to shut it down only after they can no longer make a profit off it. Now it's more profitable to sell a book complaining about it.

I loved Trish Stratus, Lita, Mickie James and Victoria back in the day. They were beautiful, not sleezy(overall character and storyline), and they could work. That is the biggest reason they were good. Asuka is a beautiful woman as well as Bianca Belair, and they can work. Their attires with all have basically worn pants and even with the times they have included cleavage, that has not been their selling points. Rhea Ripley is gold, and her attire is not overtly revealing, except her trunk, but look at how many times men's asses were shown on a roll up. The admiration for women talent is because of their talent, and then their looks and physique enhances the selling points. Luna Vischon and Daffney sold because of character and work. This victim hood mentality is bs when it comes to why they aren't getting over.

@fryguy714 No, I remember. But she can wrestle. She can take bumps and the pacing of the matches of the women I suggested was more of a real life scenario fighting pace. Trish also had a sleezy storyline piece, and also Lita with Edge, but overall, their actual talent in the ring is what gave them television time and led to their enduring success
