AEW was a thing back when WWE was going in the wrong direction or more so...was directionless. Now that they have talent, solid leadership and enough stars to carry the show and have new talent to funnel in every few months....well AEW wasted their time. They had a window and now that window is closed. They have been left dangling in the wind by whatever segment of wrestling ....still loves them. They squandered all their big acquisitions, all the talent they poached from WWE or the market have been a waste or underachievement AT BEST. The people Tony have let have free reign CANNOT carry the promotion up against WWE. Edge is too late, Danielson is all alone, Christian is all alone, Punk is gone (done), They have wasted Hobbs, they whiffed on Pillman, ROH and their ilk are a wash ( Poor Jay). The Legends can't save them so don't look to Jarret or Flair , Steamboat .....etc etc Cornett called it 4 years ago...maybe he was an autistic dickhole when he did it but; he was right in the end about what McMahon would think of AEW, and of what it would devolve into ultimately. At the end of the day, the Vice presidents of the company got into a physical altercation with the top star of the company. Even if CM Punk was 100% wrong, the Elite should have been fired on the spot. No questions asked. This is accurate. As an attorney this is the most frustrating part of the job by a mile. My role is to provide my client the best advice of their legal options and counsel them on legal risks but in the end the they are the ones who make the decision, not me. Now I can’t act unethically to further what they want and if that problem occurs I have to raise the flag to exit but if they want to ignore my advice and make a poor choice that’s their call because in the end all the decisions are theirs. So I’m sure they raised flags on this but they can’t do anything to stop it if the client insists on taking the action. The way it goes unfortunately

As crazy as it sounds, I don't think Bryan Danielson would have made the decision to get rid of Punk for anything other than the facts of the case. I don't think he gives a damn about his spot on the card, the guy has never even won a title in the company and doesn't look like he ever will. He also knows he's retiring in a year. As wrestlers go, I doubt you could find someone as moral as Bryan Danielson. That said, he shouldn't have been involved in the process because of how it looks to have a current wrestler on the panel...also, you don't know if Punk had words with him and told him he didn't want to stay. AEW will be around for a while, as long as it doesn't start causing a lot of money to run, which wrestling can hemorrhage money. The only thing Kahn has to do is keep the roster salaries half of the revenue and it'll be fine. But can he do that?

Simply being on the committee isn’t as much of an issue as much as how the decision is made. We can’t pretend that wrestlers opinions aren’t shared in unofficial capacities that influence the final outcome. As long as there’s an established process that clearly shows that the decision wasn’t made by Brian but was made by Tony and that he received counsel of multiple parties in making it it’s really not as big as it may seem. The fines thing though could be problematic

Good thing no one relies on wrestlers for legal advice lol From a legal standpoint, this isn't really a conflict of interest. We know AEW gives certain wrestlers proper employment, positions and fixed salaries, which is why AEW can offer health insurance to wrestlers. This isn't WWE, where Bryan would be an "independent contractor" and have an actual conflict of interest because his position on a card does affect his pay. No one is yet to report that a wrestler's place on a PPV card in AEW determines their payout. Sure, you could say merchandise sales may be a factor, but it would be on the claimant of "a conflict of interest due to diminished merchandising payouts" to prove that Bryan's position with CM Punk had a significant negative impact on said pay.... Considering the faction Bryan is in was created and released merchandise after CM Punk joined - Good luck arguing against Bryan's smaller merchandising cheques vs his larger ones during Punk's tenure! Bryan's employer has every right to place an employee (Bryan) on a disciplinary committee, to represent the interest of of co-workers and even his employer. Keep in mind, Bryan was also injured and not working as performer at the time. Furthermore, assuming Bryan's inclusion is a conflict of interest is to assuming that A) Bryan's inclusion in the disciplinary committee excluded disclosures of any conflict of interests and B) His vote (1/3) was the sole deciding vote cast with a conflict of interest...neither of which is proven or even likely.

Here’s a question….Why was the wrestling company called “All Elite” to begin with? They were called “The Elite” wayyyyy before Khan met any of those shmucks. That’s also writing on the wall. Big stars and talent realize it’s called FN ELITE. Their group EVP name is in the damn company name! Punk stood no chance there. I can only imagine what Thanksgiving at the Khans is like with Tony’s pops at the table grilling him about all this drama and Tony getting chewed out by his dad for being a fuck up and wtf Tony, we give you an entire company, you get tv, bla bla bla wtffffff son? Al snow said exactly what I was thinking when this came out. Bryan immediately was given creative control of collision when punk was fired which reeks of impropriety/conflict of interest, even if it isn’t. It makes it seem like he voted to fire punk to advance his own career. To an outsider at least. We know that’s probably not the case but it appears that way, which is a bad look. Tony’s a crappy business man.
