One thing that stood out to me that I haven't seen people notice is how the bathtub is first filled with money. It only shows it in one shot before it cuts to Yoongi being held in the water. To me, this symbolizes how money can actually drown us through greed. Like money is the water that's killing us as he shows visually.

My theory is that the cop yoongi is actually the poor yoongi from daechwita, that after killing the king, let the power consume him and became just like the mad king. The scar is healed while in Daechwita it was still fresh, so that's why I thought it was him. Meanwhile the thug yoongi doesn't have any scar and is going through the same cycle of killing the tyrant yoongi. I also saw on twitter how the mad king yoongi had a dragon emblem that had only 4 fingers, while thug yoongi from haegeum has a dragon emblem with 5 fingers, so it would mean he's the true king.

My theory, as quickly as I can say it without going on a tangent: for sake of ease, Blond Yoongi is King, Black Haired Scarred Yoongi in Daechwita is Rebel but in Haeguem is Boss and blackhaired yoongi without a scar is New Thing (I'm not great with names). So King is actually first seen in Agust D and Give it to me. He used his greed and lust for power to pull himself out of his poverty and to create a new world for himself. This is why King is blonde in Daechwita. It is the personification of his greed and need for power. Its what pulled him out of his old world (the mobile home) and put him in the palace. HOWEVER Rebel realized he's reached the top and he needs to look down and put his feet back on the ground. The only way that's going to happen though is to get rid of the King... and the King is hard to dispose. Rebel does it though! he kills his greed and takes over with better intentions. This brings us to Haeguem. Boss IS Rebel. Because power corrupts (whether you're a king or a cop, regardless of whether youve started from a good intention or not), Rebel loses his original goal and in many ways becomes King. This is why we see him in similar frames as King (the balcony, the stairs, the smirk before he's shot). You can see he still has Rebel in him as he seems hesitant to kill New Thing but ultimately he does. New Thing is both part King and part Boss/Rebel but also he's something New. he doesn't have that scar. He's become the new Rebel and when he kills Boss, he takes Boss's cop car to Boss's 'palace' and orders food. He is on his way to becoming Boss. It's an ongoing cycle, an ongoing battle between his greed and his morals. The battle will continue, but each time Rebel kills King/Boss the reincarnation becomes less Boss and more... Yoongi. The Blonde hair becomes black. The scare fades and then is gone in New Thing. If anyone comes from New Thing, he will look more like Yoongi. Not Agust D, not Suga. Min Yoongi. And that's the thing... Min Yoongi is dead, Agust D killed him... but I think Rebel is specifically YOONGI coming back, fighting Agust D, Fighting that greed and knowing full well that when Yoongi becomes Agust D, Min Yoongi is GOING to come and kill him. He knows it. He welcomes it.

In Yoongi's documentary(haven't seen it yet but just read this somewhere) he said that he included the smoking thing because in a way it's forbidden to them(the idols) and people call them out for these small little things when they themselves are mature enough to know about all this...so it's freeing from the FORBIDDEN (smoking here ) I'm so impressed rn

I thought that it was very clear that the "cop" is actually a mafia boss, by the way that he was torturing the other character, who is not "greed" because he burned the money, so i think he just used the mafia boss' money to lure him out and take him down? Something like that. And I believe the mafia boss is the same character that took the king down in the other mv, but now he became corrupted, so a new yoongi came to replace him.

I agree that the corrupt chief/high ranking officer/detective (note how one of the other officers salutes him as he walks by in the precinct) is like the king in Daechwita in that he's the authority and maybe has an underground gang that does his bidding but they do not want to follow him anymore (note how they do not react when "thief Yoongi" shoots him; and he is not arrested ... he's dropped off for noodles). But what I find interesting is that the "thief Yoongi" does not have the scar ... hmmmmm🤔. Is this a sunset on Agust D (please, not forever though 🤞🏾)? But Suga/Min Yoongi is brilliant!!! 💜

Was it just me or when Yoongi came back to the noodle shop, he brought half of the cop-yoongi (his jacket and maybe even trouser and the police car) and half of himself (his shirt and his demeanor). So maybe he killed a socially accepted version of himself, took some parts of it along with his new raw self?

I think it’s about ambiguity. Everybody has good and „bad“ sides, even the cop yoongi has the dark sides, I even think that cop yoongi is the bottom class suga from daechwita. He’s developing and growing constantly, and freeing himself from old beliefs, opinions and even wounds (like you said the scar was much less visible, and chop stick yoongi even has no scar at all). In the glitch film he says „The world‘s fixed stereotype Collides with my inner self And leaves trauma for a while But this temporary glitch Transforms into the driving force To create a new wavelength and becomes a part of me“ That matches so well. That’s the individual perspective. Another perspective could be that with the connection to daechwita, people are always children of their time period, which means that they could be considered good in their time, but later in time values change, we have to adapt and reflect if what we thought or have been taught to be the right thing back then still matches our beliefs and values now. We all are part of this society and have to play the game of capitalism. We succeed and fail. We are good AND bad, in fact there is no single human beeing without shadows. He has this amazing ability to make people think an reflect and interpret…I love this. I love beeing a part of this. And as a neurodivergent person, as a parent, as a citizen from a country which terrible collective crimes in the past, I think this message is so powerful.

Something I think people missed or didn’t remember is that suga said he may have shot AT the other agust d in daewhcita but we didn’t know for sure if he actually shot him fr. Because we didn’t see his body and we didn’t see the shot actually hit. It was off-screen in a way so we just assumed he shot him dead😯☝🏾. BUT yet here he is in this video once again. With the same scar but more faded, and still in a high position of power, abusing said power and using corrupt/unsavory methods under his rule. The only difference is this time he really got rid of him for good. We saw him take the shot and saw he really did shoot him dead this time which I think holds a specific significance. And I think he made that difference for a reason. It’s clear he’d been chasing and trying to catch gangsta agust d/yoongi for a while but when he finally did he met his end by “his own hands”. Fitting imo😌🙏🏾

and still people missinterpret him. So maybe he is not that direct? Yoongi appears with 6 members and destroys the place over the noodle shop... BTS messed with the Idol Industry quiet a bit - never thinking about the consequences of it. I think Hoseok spoke about that in Arson. But the person Yoongi fights is himself, too. Blond Agust D was pure anger, but the Agust D after that was still arrogant and in his own way greedy. Suga is trying to kill that. And that is not a cop/detective (or at least not mostly) - that is a Mafia boss of the Geondal/Jopok (a bit like Shin Kkangpae in the TV-show Power, a South Korean drug lord who, in order not to arouse suspicion about his criminal empire, presents himself as a legitimate businessman, owner of a famous Korean restaurant) - organized Crime or maybe Thailand Mafia were the biggest mafia seems to be the government and the police itself (or at least google told me so when I searched for the right name for the Thai mafia). It is a fight to change. There is actually an interesting social media post about the "Thiefs market" where they filmed and it's history. But it reminds me of old gangsta movies from... Japan? China? Thailand? I don't quiet remember... But than in it IS about the music, the lyrics and what the members have to say: charting and money is a bonus but they "ain't about it". They all want to move forward. I love the MV. Brings about memories of those movies including in the color style of blues and oranges. But in the end it is about freeing what is forbidden.

@@ruthfischer7615 No, he is very direct in what he says but people can't quite comprehend it yet which is fine but most of us know what he's talking about because a lot of us are truly aware of what goes on in the world. He's not really trying to kill a part of himself, it's more like he's trying to control it; he can't really kill a part of himself but it's a metaphor to actually show him taking out a part of himself physically. Trying to kill it would mean he's still in the Ego because that's what the Ego does, it fights with other Egos so there never will be a resolution if it continues and that's why "it is a fight to change" starting with yourself. Or in Yoongi's case, himself. This part in the lyrics, "opinions are clearly split depending on what's to gain. Everyone's been blinded by envy and jealousy, without realizing that they're putting shackles on each other" describes what the Ego does. It is that everyone lives through the Ego regardless if they are good or bad and regardless of what people do; good or bad. And most people that live through the Ego treat each other horribly or don't realize it yet and put shackles on each other. There are these lyrics: “Really, what is it exactly that’s been restricting us? Maybe we do it to ourselves. Slaves to capitalism, slaves to money, Slaves to hatred and prejudice, Slaves to KZread, slaves to flexin’. Selfishness and greed have gone off the rails. I close my eyes and it's easy, it’s all so obvious. Opinions are clearly split depending on what's to gain. Everyone's been blinded by envy and jealousy. Without realizing that they're putting shackles on each other. Don’t get swept away by this tsunami of info 'cause we all differentiate freedom from self-indulgence.” These are all parts of the Ego. Yoongi is pointing this out for people to see and be aware of but most people never actually see it the way it's intended, that's why he added this in the lyrics "interpretation is free for all." And these lyrics "opinions are clearly split depending on what's to gain." A lot of "official people" are corrupt individuals and that's in real life so it's both the mafia pretending to be a cop/detective to cover up the crime. There's a lot of it in India too and in many countries, but it's like you mentioned "organized Crime or Mafia where the biggest mafia seems to be the government and the police itself."

I agree with this. They really do want to move forward, it's kind of obvious in the way Yoongi wanted to end all of this drama with himself and the hypocritical public and all. It's obvious in Namjoon's "Indigo" album and Hobi's music, and in Jimin's music too. Also, they've accepted things as they are rather than keep fighting a battle with the music industry and the rest of the world that won't change anything because people believe what they want to believe and live through the Ego but BTS will always strive to do better for themselves and others. I still feel they will talk about what's truly important for a long time.

@@AwakeningWings ... there is only ONE Ego. Multiple Personas and Shadows but only one Ego. The Ego is the closest we have to a true self. We struggle with the other stuff. We may only have multiple Egos if we have multiple personalities and that is not the "norm". We can "kill" parts of us when we manage to truly change our way of thinking. He said - I believe in "The Last" - that he already killed Min Yoongi. He is trying to archieve a balance between who he is and who he wants to be: make them as close as possible. Mind you that this is in part also a shot against cancel culture. So I guess I agree in a lot of ways with your description otherwise. Just that it is more about the Persona and how close to the real self they are/is. But that quote of mine was specific to Thailand for a lot of reasons. The IMF crisis is probably a big part of it. The police in SK is - at the lower level at least - not corrupt. Neither is the police in a lot of European countries. It's in part a question of the system and it's history. Remember: the original plan wasn't to film in Thailand but South Korea - just that the location got taken by Le Sserafim before Yoongi could film there. So the connection is probably more incidental than on purpose. As said: interpretation is a free for all. Personally I think just by making music they are fighting with the global music industry. They can't help that as they refuse to play by the tricks that the industry uses: They don't want to play that "little mafia game" (boracity magazine in her new video essay) I think our ego is always involved because that is who we are. (that and we dislike some interpretations as they seem to be the opposite of what we think BTS wants to say). Borahae! 💜

  • @AwakeningWings

@@ruthfischer7615 The Ego isn't our true self at all and it doesn't even come close. Because if it was then BTS wouldn't be looking for what they truly are and they've spoken about the parts of the exterior of the soul in "The Map of the Soul." The exterior includes the Ego, the Persona, and the Shadows. People just believe the Ego is part of the real self because it's what they've been taught but it's always been an illusion. People can make up different personas and have many shadows but it is still all Ego personality or Ego mind. Ego personalities are personas people make up all the time. For example, when people say "I am an artist” or “I am a musician,” or “I’m a computer engineer who does art on the side.” Or “I am this and that.” And the stories people tell about themselves or others. These are all parts of the Ego. (All this instead of being what people truly are, souls.) And I remember BTS talking about this too, that existing is enough. Existing as the true self/soul is enough. Yes, we can grow from the change but “killing” a part of anything doesn’t sound right. But I do get what you mean though. It’s more like coming to terms with it all. Accepting what is. I know he said that but all of these personas he has are all Egoic in their actions. I know he’s trying to balance out the Mind or the Ego but I doubt it’s actually working, but he can keep trying to heal the Ego or balance it. The mind sees the external world and everything as duality and the Ego reinforces that. Everything has duality, that's why there is a good and bad in Yoongi's music videos but it's all about himself or the Ego personalities he created himself. I wonder if he’ll ever realize what he really is (the soul) or maybe he has realized it in some way. We won’t know until later, after his military service and everything. And then when he gets to continue producing and writing more maybe he will continue to let us in on his journey to the real self. This was all reinforced with his concerts when each part of the stage was being removed and it could be seen as a metaphor for Yoongi starting to show his inner self more. I know it’s also about the cancel culture idols receive and the hate. And in psychology, the mind has different components but the soul is an entirely separate thing. I know BTS are referring to Carl Jung and all but Carl Jung was also very conscious/soul-oriented rather than overly psychological but his work required him to help others the best way he knew how, that is mentally and emotionally. He explains in his work about the mind and the body, but he knew a lot about the soul. He must have combined Mind, Body, and Soul; and sometimes it can be so difficult to understand. Edit: (I am not talking about just "Map of the Soul" but also his other works. Jung spoke in depth about the soul and his soul in his Red Book.) I know, I was just adding to it. I agree, with you but I’ve just seen a lot of corruption so that's why I mentioned it like that. Oh okay, I see. And I didn’t know Yoongi was meant to film at the location where Le Sserafim was, that's interesting. Yes, I was interpreting what he was saying in the song but I also know what he refers to or eludes to. At certain points, what I speak about is something that Yoongi actually talks about in his music or in interviews. Some of the things I mention in most of my comments are stuff BTS speaks about later in interviews and stuff. And I was also referencing the Ego and all because I know about it. I’m very familiar with Carl Jung’s work, the same one BTS references many times :) I agree with this, “by making music they are fighting with the global music industry. They can't help that as they refuse to play by the tricks that the industry uses: They don't want to play that ‘little mafia game’ (boracity magazine in her new video essay).” Now that you mention it, you’re right and Boracity Magazine is so funny when she says things like that and it’s so true. I saw her new video when it came out and she said exactly what we are talking about :D Oh, I agree the Ego is important but we need to remember that it’s not who we actually are. The ego is a mental construct and an illusion but since we are existing here, it’s needed to survive in our environments; good or bad. I don’t disagree or dislike what you said because a lot of what you said is also true. We just have different perspectives about similar things 💜

i just need to get my thoughts out of my head: the similarities between haegeum and daechwita: - Rebel yoongi fights in both versions the AUTHORITY, once the king, the other time the cop (who are both are greedy and mean as it seems. - Rebel yoongi let's himself caught in both, only to shoot the 'boss' one in both - both times, the boss wickedly smiles before rebel yoongi shots him - WHATS WITH THE CHICKEN that was in daechwita too -are the six guys behind him (his gang) a reference to his bts members? i think it was in daechwita too - what's with the fire and yoongi always BULTOLTANAE

I also feel like Yoongi is talking about the Ego and how destructive it can be if left unchecked. It's toxic and chaotic but most people live through the Ego. It's neither good nor bad but most people use it to hurt others. It's the music industry, the country, the people that hate him and the rest of BTS, the people that tell artists what to do, and the unjust double standards/hypocrisy. It's just everything all at once and Yoongi always finds clever ways to point out the "flaws and the ego" so people can be more aware of it. That and he roasts everything including himself until there's nothing left🔥 And then he sits down to eat ramyeon with red chopsticks 🍜🥢❤‍🔥💜 Edit: And to add on to what I said in this comment Yoongi's true self isn't the Ego. "He’s freeing himself from restrictions to speak the truth and to bring his true full self to the surface," and I'm guessing that means he's trying to bring out his true self which is his soul. So which side of him is the good one; the cop/detective/mafia or the other who is the free-spirited rebellious one that breaks rules to do the right thing. Or would you consider them both bad? Also, the money he stole was in U.S. dollars lol

analyzing it, just MV without deeper meaning, i would say that Yoongi with and without scar are both cops but scarre-done is "the bad guy", corrupted and dangerous guy. Yoongi without scar is also a cop but working undercover to take down the bad one. i noticed also that there are some little details which are similar in Daechwita and Haegeum - the hen at the beggining, at the end when he faces the bad one he stays in a ring of burningtorches - same as in Daechwita when he was rapping with tied hands.

Is the guy who’s drowning him the same one who called police!D in the beginning? Because if it is, then it’s very interesting that thief!D let him live and then dude straight up let him shoot police!D at the end. Parallels to daechwita where Rebel!D made a pact with the executioner who was also a butcher in the market, except this time we got a more subtle clue. Love your reaction!!!

I'm just pointing this out because I thought it was interesting ☺ I spoke about this in my comments a few days ago about the Ego and guess what Yoongi talked about his Alter Ego and stuff. I just saw a Twitter hashtag about Yoongi and his music. And I said he has accepted things as they are and he is calmer. BTS all want to move forward. They are all less angry and that's pretty obvious, especially Yoongi. "It's kind of obvious in the way Yoongi wanted to end all of this drama with himself and the hypocritical public and all. It's obvious in Namjoon's "Indigo" album and Hobi's music, and in Jimin's music too. Also, they've accepted things as they are rather than keep fighting a battle with the music industry and the rest of the world, that won't change anything because people believe what they want to believe and live through the Ego but BTS will always strive to do better for themselves and others. I still feel they will talk about what's truly important for a long time." I also mentioned this: "At certain points, what I speak about is something that Yoongi actually talks about in his music or in interviews. Some of the things I mention in most of my comments are stuff BTS speaks about later in interviews and stuff." But I made all these comments after he did the interviews and stuff. I didn't know if he would talk about this stuff so I didn't comment at all until now. I didn't watch the interview with IU yet so I didn't know he was talking about this already. "Everything has duality, that's why there is a good and bad in Yoongi's music videos but it's all about himself or the Ego personalities he created himself." He literally spoke about his Alter Ego aka Agust D. And I mentioned him being more accepting. He's forgiven the people who hate him. He speaks about all of this in the interview with IU, go see it. And she's also great too :) Yoongi said this: "I needed a means to let my feelings out. I created another self Agust D. Once the AgustD trilogy comes to an end it might be hard to see him again. As I get older the less I get angry. They referred us as BTS is back from hell, we're beaten by many haters, I've forgiven them now." And then this is from an ARMY on Twitter: "Whether it's Agust D or Suga, I hope Yoongi knows real fans will appreciate and acknowledge whatever persona he choose to share with us in the future. As long as he's sincere with himself, we are more than happy to share the journey he walks. 💜" I basically mentioned the same thing here: "Everything has duality, that's why there is a good and bad in Yoongi's music videos but it's all about himself or the Ego personalities he created himself. I wonder if he’ll ever realize what he really is (the soul) or maybe he has realized it in some way. We won’t know until later, after his military service and everything. And then when he gets to continue producing and writing more maybe he will continue to let us in on his journey to the real self. This was all reinforced with his concerts when each part of the stage was being removed and it could be seen as a metaphor for Yoongi starting to show his inner self more." I only mention all this because I know what Yoongi is talking about, I get him. I wasn't trying to say I'm right all the time but for most things I am mostly correct on it. We all have things in common with him and the things I have in common with him is that he's so introspective and cares deeply. I have so many things in common with him but mostly the clever, introspective, and caring parts. He is very clever with his words and his actions in his music, it's one of the reasons I admire him as an artist.

Underdog Yoongi killed tyrant king in Daechita, but then became corrupted himself, and became a dirty cop (its his dirty money that New Yoongi stole). New Yoongi then killed Corrupt Yoongi. Summary - he doesn’t like who he became, so he puts an end to it.
