This is really good information! Doing my first Hyrox comp in Dallas, Tx. 2023 Two weeks out, wish I'd watched this 4 weeks ago (lol) but I know now. Thanks for the series, will stay tuned for more. 53 year old 🔥🔥

Good tips. Looking foward for the wallballs video. A couple of questions: - Lunges: turning your torso a little bit like you showed at 2:00 couldn't also - considering you will be really tired by then - unbalance you towards the front on the side where the knee is down? because you don't have your leg supporting your position in front. - Next video (Wallballs): could you touch on the correct positioning/distance from the marks? I find that sometimes I'm scared of touching the mark too low and I end up throwing almost vertically and not touching the mark at all...

I think I understand what you are saying, I was maybe exaggerating it in the video, you just want a slight twist so that you turn with your stride like when you run your arm is opposite to your front leg. The rotation creates stability and momentum. You can test it by twisting the opposite way (towards your lead leg) you’ll find it a lot harder. As for the wall balls I’ll will go over this in the next video, thanks for your feedback.

I loved the tips, but sadly I suffered a rupture in the tendon connecting the hammstring to my glute and my Hyrox race is in 10 days. Is there anything i can do to lower the impact on the glute/ hamstring area with technique or am I basicly fucked😂🙈

Sorry to hear that, it really depends how bad the rupture is. I would avoid all lunges for now, you could try doing so isometric holds in a lunge position. The lunges are always going to work that glute high hamstring area but shortening your steps and staying as upright as possible will put more emphasis on your quads.

@@woodsyworkout thanks alot for the tip!! The tear is pretty bad but “quit” is not in my vocabulary😂. This will be my first Hyrox and since this 1 has a special meaning for me, nothing is gonna stop me from finishing this one. Lunges is the only sector I am really scared about but ill use your tips and destroy that station!!💪💪
