    Great video mate, what damper setting do you use for the ski and rower ?

  • @woodsyworkout

    @woodsyworkout

    2 жыл бұрын

    Thanks, I use about 5/6 for the ski and 6/7 for the row. I’d say if you’re a stronger athlete go around there because you can take less strokes and if you’re more of an endurance athlete keep it low so you don’t feel the muscle burn

    @@woodsyworkout thanks for the reply, what would you say about going between 8-10 for both ? Would the higher number not suit a strong slow pull to keep the heart rate down ?

  • @woodsyworkout

    @woodsyworkout

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@lean2281 Only if you are strong enough to keep it aerobic if you are pulling against a resistance you find tough and it starts to burn even with a slow stroke rate you will be going anaerobic and hr will shoot up. So experiment with what feels comfortable. In general if I’m doing the same distance on the ski and row I tend always go lighter on the ski erg because it’s more upper body dominant.

    Maybe I’m being silly here but how does it work with time if too many people are at your station? Does your time get paused until you start?

  • @woodsyworkout

    @woodsyworkout

    It’s very rare that there’s too many people at a station but yes if that is the case a judge will time the delay and it will be deducted from your time.

    @@lookbetternaked254 I would definitely try the step method, small jumps try and get into a methodical rhythm. Practice them a lot in training and also work on going from a low heart rate to a high heart rate and back down again. A good workout is run 200m burpee x20 knock of a burpee every round.
