$3,100,000! The BIGGEST Pot In TV Poker HISTORY!

$3,100,000 was in the middle at the end of this insane poker hand that took place during the Hustler Casino Live Million Dollar Cash Game. Fan favorite Wesley took on the legend that is Tom ‘durrr’ Dwan. This is a poker hand that you do not want to miss!
“Wesley just asked Tom how much he had behind and that just made the whole table quiet” - David Tuchman. This quote sums up perfectly how magical this hand on the Hustler Casino Live stream really was. The largest ever pot in televised history!
This poker hand took place during the The Million Dollar Game hosted by the Hustler Casino in Los Angeles! This crazy cash game hand featured LSG Hank, Wesley, and the legendary Tom Dwan, battling it out with all of them sitting over $1,000,000 deep!
Hank decides to raise it to $7,000 with A8o in the hijack, Wesley decides to take the aggressive line with his AKo and 3bets to $30,000. At this point Dwan decides to fire in the cold 4-bet and pops it up to $100,000 with pocket queens. Hank quickly gets out of the way and Wesley does not slow down and decides to make it $275,000 with one of the only 5-bets that this poker stream saw.
There is already over $500,000 in the middle as both Wesley and Dwan now are heads-up to a flop which was 8d 8s 3d.. Dwan checks with his overpair, and Wesley continues his story of a stronger overpair with a relatively small bet of $125,000. Dwan makes an easy call.
Heading to the turn there is now $812,000 in the middle as the 5h lands. Dwan checks to the aggressor once more and Wesley does not slow down as he slides out $350,000 into the middle. Dwan still does not believe the story that Wesley is trying to tell and opts to call once more.
With over $1,500,000 in the pot the both of them see the 6c land. Dwan checks for the final time and Wesley empties the clip and shoves for Dwan’s effective stack which was $786,000. After an intense and extremely long tank Dwan does decide to make the call and scoops the largest ever poker hand that has happened on a live stream. Incredible!

I wonder if wesley bets less flop and turn. So the all in is way more, if Dwan still calls. I would have folded there with QQ.

How important is to be balance in these spots? Wesley knows he is against AA, KK, QQ, AK. How many times are you playing for 3.1million dollar pot in order to be balance?

I disagree this is a tough spot for Tom. His opponent is represnting AA, AK, KK and he’s holding queens. Tom’s initial call to the 5-bet already commited him to the hand. Especially considering the board is a whole bunch of bricks with Welch’s pre-flop range. If he thought Welsh had aces or kings we would have folded pre-flop. This is textbook

Sometimes in life, you end up in a totally fvcked up situation thinking ‘oh my god, how did I get myself into this mess? And how in the world am I going to get myself out of it?’ That’s wes after the river card hits. I bet Huss was laughing his ass off when he saw this. I was thinking "Props to Doug Polk for not giving anything away." But when Tom got up for a water and Wesley put his head on the table... Polk lets a grin pass over his face. Dwan didn't see it, and it's the only expression Doug lets show. But he knew why Wesley's head went to the table. If you're a student of microexpressions, it's right there.

I don't think it was a timing tell, that he was bluffing all in cuz he did it right away like Tom Dwan said. Cuz he did the same later for value. But for Tom he took it as that and even tho it had nothing to do with it he was right. Just shows how flukey poker is.

@@vincent763 I agree. Most good players have a ritual, either conscious or subconscious, that they follow when making decisions, even the bluntly easy ones, so that taking time to think doesn't give anything away. As far as bet sizing, it's pretty straightforward GTO. They all know it.
