Current update? Really interested in this, especially for the price.
First you get me to buy an 10th gen Accord 2.0T, then convinced me to buy a GX460, and now I miss my Accord's speed (it was tuned to stage 2 +6 psi through Hondata) and want to get an Elantra N. I hate you Topher, but I love your videos so much. I hope I can meet you some day! Owned it for a year, it was a fun car for sure, but circumstances change and I decided to get a bigger car, a Durango R/T. Definitely not as fast, but you can't beat the V8 sound and better ride. The Elantra N is so much fun, but it was not great for road trips and rattles quite a bit, but at the end of the day you are buying this for the engine and transmission.

I got the EN DCT at the end of December. I had been anxiously awaiting it for months, watching Korean KZread videos just drooling. Dealership said it was probably the first sold in my state (but who knows?). Two months in and I still absolutely, entirely love it. Glad I passed on the VN and waited for this one. Some comments on my experience: - Tons of complements everywhere I go on the sound and looks. Lots of "is that really stock?" I got mine in black, and it's so slick. But it doesn’t look like I’m compensating for anything, if you know what I mean. - I swapped out the Pilot Sport 4S tires for the Pilot Sport 4 All Seasons. I live in the US south, but even without snow and ice on the roads the tires were slipping quite a bit in some of the lower winter temperatures. Plus I occasionally drive up north, so it felt like a decent investment. - Taking it down mountain roads is a dream. Took it up to the Tail of the Dragon last week and it behaved beautifully. I was taking those curves so aggressively, and confidently, that I gave myself motion sickness and had to literally rest for 30 minutes after my first run, haha. - I'm 6'5", close to 250 pounds, and it fits me just fine. My only complaints are the seat bolstering does wear on you a little bit after long drives, and my right knee occasionally bumps the heated seat switch. I could actually move the seat back more and totally avoid that, but I like keeping it a little bit closer than max distance. - Fuel economy is all over the place, depending on the mode you drive in and how aggressive you are. I’ve gotten down to 12-14 MPG whipping around those mountain passes in full N, manually shifting, but over 34 on the interstate in Eco with cruise control. - Audio system is probably the only part that’s lacking to me. Everything works well, it just doesn’t sound quite as nice or as loud as I’d like. The built in GPS system with Blue Link may even be better than Google/Apple maps. If anyone has questions or anything from an owner, I’d be happy to answer. I love talking about this thing (as my friends and family know and are sick of by now). Oh, and great review Topher! You covered everything I was concerned about before my test drive.

My neighbour has one of these and I love it so much. It’s completely stock apart from a bigger wing (might be able to get it from factory as an option). I confronted him the other day as he was going out and I told him how much I love the thing. He realised that I’m a massive car guy so when he got back in the car he gave it a massive pull. Thing sounds insane. If he gets back early enough in the day and sees me he gives me a rev.
I currently have a 2020 Elantra GT N-line and I really want to upgrade to one of these cars (or veloster N), but considering I got my car new for 22K after discounts out the door it's hard to justify for another 12k+ or so, granted, this car is leagues above mine. To throw out the performance and just base it on the appearance - this car is quite attractive. I love the Intense Blue option with the iridescent shading. An absolute stunner! Then you add the accent trim along the rocker panels. The rims look good, the calipers are colored, the rear is attractive as well with the spoiler and both the head and taillights are nicely designed too. Then you come back and return to how much fun this thing is to drive and the performance that it has in its smaller class - certainly could be a viable option for many out there.

About two weeks ago, you may have seen the news of a couple who survived an incident in Angeles National Park that saved them from death. It was said that the iphone14 sent a rescue signal and was rescued by the rescue team in a short time. The car that saved the couple even after rolling down a steep slope of 300 feet was the Hyundai Elantra N model.
Finally got to drive a rental car version of the base Elantra. While I’ve driven a Veloster N before, I cannot fathom how much fun an Elantra variant is. It’s on my short list.
My hope for the 2024 was to see a slightly better quality interior, less hard touch plastic.... But Hyundai didnt upgrade that. Oh well I'm still buying it.
Can’t wait to get my EN in! Put my request in with Hyundai in December.
What’s the name of the song during the sound system test? Great video as always!
Front wheel drive in winter time... Awesome idea
Been looking for a replacement car for my impala and this might be it. The feature set lines up nicely (power and torque plus the amenities like android auto, sun roof, and a decent/great audio system). And it goes beyond with the chasis reinforcement, and the infotainment/dash. Gonna start saving up for it now

impala lmao, but yeah this is the sporty car for you! for its price the interior is quite cheap, cheaper feeling then 27k civic or competitors, and it's a bit louder on the road but other then that it ticks all the boxes.

Obsessed with this car now
i love this channel
Now if the Elantra GT N had the same interior treatment, that'd be very nice :D
Biermann and co. really nailed it with the N's. I'm super impressed and it's changed my whole thinking on this brand!

@While We Were Sinners He is still going to be an "Executive Technical Advisor," based in Europe. Only retired from being Hyundai's "Head of Research and Development. "
Finally! Been waiting for your review on this car. Did you get the Kona N?
I would love to see a 2022 camry trd thinking about buying it but not sure if I should get it, but I always look forward to more reviews
