Complete highlights from the 2019 Arnold Strongman Classic, part of the Arnold Sports Festival held March 1-2, 2019, in Columbus, Ohio. Defending champion Hafthor ""The Mountain"" Bjornsson takes center stage against many of the world's greatest strength athletes, from established legends like Brian Shaw to phenoms Martins Licis and Mateusz Ostaszewski. The competition also features high-profile events with one-of-a-kind implements provided by Rogue Fitness, including the much anticipated ""Wheel of Pain"" and a replica of the famous Icelandioc Husafell lifting stone. The $50,000 ""Rogue Record Breakers"" challenge, featuring attempts to break the 500KG Deadlift record, is also featured.

    @@MR-ld3ry It's not that you can't build muscle on a vegan diet. But 100% vegan diets are horrible for your health. And no strongmen are vegan, 'the proof is in the pudding', so to speak.

    Kieliszkowski lifting the stone 5 times and destroying the field was the most impressive moment in this event. If Thor stays healthy the rest of the guys are in trouble for a few more years.

    @@spookyreaper1702 did you never watch Eddie Hall speak on the sport? Eddie said he would retire after he accomplished his goal of winning a WSM because of the toll it takes on the body and the years he has taken off of his life from strongman.

    I have to say that video about Mateusz gym makes me proud. In some countries people might feel like its a shame that an athlete like him has to train in basically a barn. But we here in Poland know that the evironment is not a couse to get a slack off. I'm proud of him and effort hes putting in this hardcore sport and thats one hardcore athlete to win it in future.

    In stone to shoulder event,Mateusz kieliszkowski read the stone carefully and his Technic was amazing to lift the stone.no one compete with him in that event in 2018 & 2019.great salute to you sir.

    Well bodybuilding in general has fallen out of favor which is sad. I enjoy somewhat casually, I always feel better after wards. Even if it is pretty janky improv time. PF fitness basically closed blah blah. So what am I doing instead? working with what ever the hell is around the house. The most basic form of strength training: lifting househould things to get strenth! Their's also time, perception(only dumb idiots go for power and blah blah), right now acess: at least to a dedicated spot(thanks Wuhan)

    Man i wish shaw didnt get hurt there. Watching the shaw classic he still hasnt fully recovered from it. Struggled with 1040 on hummer tire, but did 1122 in the past.

    Funny watching Hafthor fighting the stone as he rolls it up opposite of how Mateusz and Martins just did it. The way Mateusz does it, he like rolls it up and is able to use his levers momentum and the shape of the stone to help him. Thor’s over smashing the side of his head with the top point.

    Yes Thor is definitely a monster. But you got to give a little credit to Brian Shaw, he really went for it and then it ended up injuring his hamstring, and then played it off like no big deal.

    Good spot mate. That is why many good deadlifters use shoes of some kind, even though you get a longer range of motion. Worth considering for him after that debacle.

    he always does that, go watch his 1003lb x2 deadlift video, when he sets up for a lift his right foot is always pointed out more and his left foot is straight, as he lifts the left foot rotates out and on the second rep its at the same angle as the right foot. something ive always noticed about his DL

    you might find the Basque rock lifting traditional games ( goes back centuries) interesting they have speed lifting 100 Kg rocks in 1 min and heavy rock lifting 500 Kg plus may even enter Good luck
