I share your love for this phenomenal bike ....gotta agree it's awesome I've done 6200km since new on my 2012... Not a single problem. I traded it last week for a new blue 2019 DCT......better in every way than an already great bike. Gotta love Honda....as reliable as the sunrise..

Thanks for the upload. I have an S model and am really enjoying it. If it might suggest joining one of the online owners clubs - you will get a lot of help & experience there. For instance, I change the oil every 12 months (seems to be working out to about 7,000 miles) and use either 5/30 or 0/40 full synthetic - the really expensive stuff. Oil is still quite clean. Honda say check valve clearances at 12,000 miles but on the newer 750 they upped it to 24,000. So lots of us are following suit. I & many others also find Michelin Pilot Road 4 tyres to be brilliant. Thanks again!

Great review, thanks. I've tried to learn as much as much as much as I can about the to 700X as it's uniqueness intrigues me. I love the tank trunk. No one has addressed highway speeds. I ride long distances and back and dirt roads, I'll never do off-road trails, etc. You mentioned pretty phenomenal mileage, what would you get at highways speeds of 75-80 mph? Will this bike hold 80 for extended periods (all day)? Thanks!

Hey, I just wanted to give you my experience - I have ridden this bike as my daily commutor up and down the NJ Turnpike almost daily for the last 2 years, and it definitely has no problem holding 80 mph. For me, it's comfy up to about 90 before it starts to bog down a bit. As for efficiency i haven't exactly calculated it, but I seem to be getting somewhere in the range of 60 mpg. LOVE the tank trunk! Become so spoiled with it!

I don't think highway speeds are any problem at all. I have to get off every couple of hours to exercise my stiff ass, the seat could be a little more comfortable. Otherwise everything is good.

Did you notice that the center stand stopper may not engage, resulting in contact with the frame and lower suspension? It’s a moving part so will rub and wear against the stand. Stock exhaust has a welded on pad for the rubber stopper on the stand. You can put some rubber hose around the cross bar on the center stand to protect and damp it.

Not much wind protection with the stock shield. A little better than a naked bike. Expect a beating at 70 mph +. But I'm coming off a touring bike that had much better wind protection. The stock NC is more suited to short haul and commuting in my opinion. But with the right windscreen, it wouldn't be bad.

Aliana Abraham as long as you don’t go with a dual sport you should be ok. A cruiser would be the easiest to ride at that height or some kind of sport bike. If you have a dealer close to you go and sit on this one and see how you like it that’s the best way. This one is pretty low but I’m 6 foot

You should get a car first. I know it seems like riding with someone else that you are learning how to handle a vehicle in traffic and get around legally, and you are, but it's quite different when you're actually behind the wheel. Learn these things in a car so you can devote all your attention to learning to be a good driver, which is not about how well you handle the car but rather your observations and decisions, THEN once you have some time doing that, think about a motorcycle. It is not at all cheap, the insurance alone will be quite a bit, the total higher than a car would cost and you should get durable riding gear. The only thing you'd save on is gas and that savings will be swamped by the thousands of costs you don't realize until you're paying for them. When you get older and establish a good driving record it gets cheaper for insurance.

I have the s version since four and a half years and 72000 km. During that time I have hit the rev limiter maybe three times, one of which was on purpose to see what it actually feels like. The nice torque output of the motor never did let me miss higher revolutions. Had a Versys 650 and got rid of it again since I prefer the NC hands down 👍 Truely awesome bike 🏍❤ Safe rides

I was thinking the same thing. My 2013 suzuki Vstrom has a 5.2 gal tank. I have well over 200 miles of range. Usually 48mpg at 70+mph. I've read that these easily get around 60mpg so I don't think a small tank is something to worry too much about
