Cool :-) As a female rider, I'm still learning how to work on my NC700X. This is very helpful, so thank you so much for walking us through all of these upgrades!

This was so satisfying to watch. I don't even have a Honda NC 750x
Hmmm, looks quite the 'beast' after that little modding, well done! :)
Also add: A USB port A GPI- gear position indicator Bigger windscreen Phone/ GPS holder Extra running lights Bark busters Better seat
After doing 1500 miles in two days on my showroom standard NC700x, I can definitely say that windscreen and some handguards are a must-have! Down the road; a new seat for sure. Great video.
Fantastic project build, great upgrade choices and excellent tips and commentary, JC!! Thanks so much for posting.
Love to see adventure builds on the NC700X. Been riding mine for 3 years and 28,000 miles now and love it!

@SnickterP
8 жыл бұрын
+Motorcycle Superstore Yep I definitely do. It is as you make mention to, primarily a commuter for me. But I have done some trails several times with it. With a good skid plate underneath it, it'll slide over things that its shorter-than-average height would allow. It really can go just about anywhere other big bikes can go, and the low rpm, high torque nature of the engine really benefits off pavement. The only thing it really will struggle with is sand, as the 17" front wheel just doesn't like it. Hell, even my XT250 doesn't like the loose deep stuff.
REALLY CANT DO MUCH BETTER THEN THAT. I WAS A LITTLE CONFUSED ON HAVING THIS AS MY NEXT BIKE, OFF COURSE THE DCT MODEL BUT THE WAY U WORKED ON IT WAS AMAZING, SPECIALLY THE TYRES. THE END RESULT IS OUT OFF THIS WORLD. GAT TO HAVE IT MAN, THANKS
Awesome job. It looks much better and more functional. Just amazing
Great video. I'm looking at purchasing the NC700X so this was very helpful. Thanks!

That was great and good idea's on the upgrades since I'm getting a NC750X, thanks
One of the best mid vid from mcs..The NCX ended really cool bike adventure motorcycle..
Very nice vid, thank you! I'll be swapping the exhaust pipe for Ixil this winter and while the whole thing looked like a simple operation, I wasn't sure if there aren't any surprises along the way. Thanks to your vid, I know the new exhaust swap should be plain and simple and I can handle it in my garage. Thank you! :)

Thanks for this video review! The video was Very informative ,interesting and helpful!
Excellent video and really well explained presentation, making things a lot easier.
Great video. I love the mistake-avoiding tips and tricks along the way!
These upgrades make the Bike really Head Turner..good work, man..dual purpose..urban star and lite off-road.. Honda have The Travel Edition..really beautiful with original side bags..windshield,front fog light,crush bar,center stand,..
Well explained. Good presentation.
Thank you for that video. Very well explain. I could watch it like a action movie. Will get the yoshimura ;)
The amount of HOWEVER's i've heard is insane... xD
Mate great job, thanks for that.
Good video. Now, i got more ideas..i will convert my bike in a Real Diablo....Thanks
Great video, thanks!
Well done video!
looks so much better
Very cool project.
awesome clip' thanks. Thanks
Looks pretty cool
That R-77 just sounds so good with that twin.... Gorgeous!
Great video. Especially liked the comment about expecting small issues with 3rd party products. I would gladly make a small modification to keep costs down. OEM add-on products are pricey and that level of customization is outside the budget for many of us.
I liked the way it looked before you did all that stuff to it. But good video on how to do easy modifications yourself.
Hi, guys! I've been considering getting the NC700X as a daily commuter, and I love the upgrades you did! They definitely made the bike look more like a "GS Fighter" , especially budget-wise. Great job!

I bought mine, a left over 2015 for$4000 on June 29th, I have 4500 miles on it so far. I put a new exhaust. Air hawk seat, hand guards. And a car tire, I went to the dark side. 175/55/17 The bike is amazing. Can't rave enough about it.
Leather likes! Cheaper and as good!
Nice video. I've done much of this myself (not the exhaust though, no reason as I like the bike quiet). But those hand guards are uuuuuuuugly and having lights in them is just geeky.
My only issue is adding up the costs of parts, you might as well but a Yamaha Tracer 900
I almost blew bye this video. I'm glad I didn't, one of the most usable inspiring video I've seen.... thanks!!
Yeah, wait till you dump it once before you claim the GIVI luggage will hold up. Nice build and bike. Looks good. Enjoyed the video.
Beautiful
The first single and the most important upgrade , imho - effective crash bars , high enough to protect those plastic fairings on the NC700X when you inevitably lay her down .Then - hand /levers guards. The rest is not important and optional .

Great Video 5 stars
NC700X starts out as a great bike. Thoroughly research after market windshields, some focus sunlight and will melt the dashboard. The must have upgrade for this bike is a new seat! If you get a bunch of luggage to go long distance, a more comfortable seat will be really change this bike. Lastly, consider highway pegs for this bike too for an optional foot position on long hauls. A few upgrades and this bike will do anything!

Though I own the nc700 still I no longer ride it. I love it but I needed more power. My primary is a 2010 Honda vfr 1200 dct. I hear the 2014 NC has a better stock seat.
great video.
that tires looks mazing
Nice - I'm going for a Shad 40l topbox but taking your recommendation of the Yoshi R77 pipe.
Well presented, near superb, high speed explanations, I understood every word. I'm near to purchasing a Honda NC 750 dct so I appreciated the subtitles.The kit you've chosen here looks better than Honda accessories, kinda funkier.

I want this bike very much
Good video. Glad you picked the NC700x for the demo bike. I do have to disagree with one point. The NC makes for a good low cost adventure bike. Skidplate, crash bars and she does well off road. So far I haven't found any place the more expensive bikes go that I can't go.

+Matt Jordan That's good to hear, Matt. Have you found any trouble with the front brake rotor? That's one area I could see being an issue in ruts deeper than a few inches. Just curious. - jc
@bamamate1633

+Motorcycle Superstore No problems with the front rotor. No real problems at all. Good skidplate is required. The 17" front wheel does mean going slower than the 21" bikes.
excellent hints :-) tnx
A note on the Yoshi R77 install - the muffler gasket. A good idea would be to just buy a new one.
would like to see you do a Adventure makeover on the 2016 Honda 400 X thank you very much
I really liked the video, congratulations. I have a 2019 nc750 and I'm going to do the same as yours, my doubt is, is it safe to make curves on the road with this tire? is it as safe as with the original tires?

I wish you could start carrying parts for the CTX700 ND. Had to buy chain and sprockets from another store. Been waiting for the upgrades from Motorcycle Superstore and it never happened. Used to buy everything from this place but have to look in other places now. When I need parts I need parts.
You didn't mention front fender extention. A great addition I think.

I like handle bar fog light night light those are a badass touch. I found that bike I might get it. Do you think that bike would be a forever go to for life bike or just a touring adventure?
May I know where I can get the these nice Hand guards with adjustable Focus lights please !! Also where to get the Accelerator grip/holding knob on the right Handle grip please .
Congrat´s for video. I have a question, how handlebar model? thanks
Dubious choice of tires there. I could see an 80/20 or a 70/30, but those? For an urban commuter?
@waltermh111

He said clearly that he wanted to change the purpose of the motorcycle, to something more off road capable. So no, it wont be a primary urban commuter anymore. It is an adventure bike so he wants to change the focus a little more.

this is what is on my nc750 x dct now. What size u used in the videoclip for the rear. the 150 or the 170. TKC 80 regards Carl.
Overall a good video. Don't be afraid to work on your own bike. A couple of cringey moments when you turned the handle bars with the switch gear resting on the paint work. Maybe throw down a towel first.
Planning on getting one of these and selling my current bike. I have nerve damage in my right hand so looking for a DCT model. Anyone know about switching the accelerator/F brake to left?
torque wrench settings would be nice. They were set when the bike was put to gather.
Nice video, but a grand for the bags, sounds insane to me.
I have an nc700x but been having trouble with the front forks for quite sometime. The suspension is too harsh on sharp bumps. I tried putting on racetech emulators, but it didn't solve my problem. I have taken the forks apart about 6 times. I'm not sure what could be the issue. Any tips?
I wish you had posted links in downside summary to let us know what to buy because you talked about the muffler but a little fast so I am trying to guess what you meant by spelling and all that. I am buying a nc750x and a lot of accessories, more than you even have here, and planning to install it all myself. I hadnt thought about the muffler and dont want something to make the bike louder, but I do still love the sound, doesnt really sound much louder, but definitely better.
@waltermh111
4 жыл бұрын
I just look back and see you did tell us the exact part when you introduced it :P Still a link is great when you are introducing something if you are also selling it :O But you say muffler is inexpensive yet I believe its over $400 when I look for it on their website lol Never mind :P I am already decking it out with practical things that are totaling $3000, sigh... I could even drop the crash guard and skid plate from my list, since I am not doing major dirt riding, but I figured since I will be doing some major distance and off the beaten path and camping trips, I felt its better to be safe than sorry and spend the $500 on the 2 right now.
Great video. I'm purchasing this bike for a trip on the PanAmerican between Dallas, TX and Panama City Panama. These are the exact upgrades I will perform on the bike. Can you tell me the total spent on parts? It will help me with initial planning! Cheers!
@motorcyclesuperstore

+John Keller Full retail price for everything is $2550. You will find them for considerably less because they are all products that are commonly marked down at various sale prices, but that is the high mark to keep in mind as you do your initial planning. Best of luck to you on the PanAmerica! - jc
Only problem adding all that weight and wind resistant equipment to the nc is it defeats the pt of the nc. Wouldn't a top box be more sensible, cheaper and in line with the pt of the bike?
I know this is an old video but I was curious what size tires you used if they were the stock ones or a different size
I missed the tyre type and manufacturer. I want something like those on mine

what size tires did you use? I can not seem to find stock tire size of nc700. thanks
What size tires were they for the front and rear?
Is there a way to get the throttle to not have so much pull back
don't those tires make a huge noise while circulating in the pavement? what about fuel consumption? is it damaged by them? 'cause the selling point of this bike is average fuel consumption. without it, it stops making that much sense. Nice video, I liked it a lot.
@slimjim7411
5 жыл бұрын
Nobbies are going to make some noise, and probably will lose a % or two of fuel mileage from them. Not much though maybe a couple miles to the gallon. However they make the bike much more viable off road. By off road I simply mean off the pavement not some extreme off road stuff. Street tires can be a handful just on wet grass. A lot of camp sites require a bit of trail riding to get too. The trails are usually fairly well maintained but either dirt, gravel, a little mud, etc. You might not go dakkar rally on a NC700X but going slap off the side of the road to bypass jacked up traffic is priceless.
Yoshimura exhaust for nc700x
Great vid...one remark though...cloth on the tank (if one should drop tools) ;-)
How rigid are the 'snap on' saddle boxes on a trail ride? Is there much if any chance of them popping off hitting a decent bump?
@motorcyclesuperstore
8 жыл бұрын
+Christopher Smith The Givi Outback series panniers secured very well to their mounting system. I doubt any off road condition will dislodge or disconnect the saddle boxes from the bike! - RH
I have this bike thinking about selling it it is one of the coolest bikes have ever had except for I don't like the front tire is too fat great for cornering but I like to take it off road a lot more than I thought. Can I put a thinner taller wheel on it does anybody know?
I'm skeptical about the durability of those knuckle guard lights.
