1996 PBA Rochester Open - Duke vs. Schlegel (Part 1)
Спорт
Ernie Schlegel was up to his old tricks in the opening match of the 1996 Rochester Open, where he faced PBA star Norm Duke. Who would win..."fruit salad" or Duuuuuuuuuke? Very entertaining match with two entertaining players. Part 1 of 2.

Ernie's the best!!!
Ernie is so fun to watch.
Thats very true. And that is one of the reasons why bowling is so great (in my opinion)Everyone has their own styles and whatever level bowler you are on you can have fun and still be competitive. Keep rollin!!
Like with all sports, concentration is important, even for bowling. Nice video, as usual.
3:25 - Ernie the crybaby
Ernie is the ozzy osbourne of bowling!
"Put 'em to sleep! Put 'em to sleep!" LMFAO
@klehman91 It closed about 3 years ago, I don't know what they're planning on doing with the building, which is still there but boarded up of course.
RIP Marcel's Olympic Lanes.
Marcel's Olympic Bowl became AMF Olympic Lanes. The center closed in 2009.
@kboss2011 you say Ernie is kind of a clown...well he is a showman and has lots of gamesmanship....but ask the pro's from New York about Ernie and him pot bowling or bowling for money straight up and they will tell you Ernie is anything but a clown......he is a hard man to beat......if u doubt, ask PBA Hall of Famer Johnny Petraglia, or hear Johnny talk about Ernie.....and no, he is not as good on tour as Norm or Walter.....but he is good and he been around forever.....
ive talked to a few pros, and most of them say they pick an arrow to throw at and look a few feet past that arrow and throw it there. Since Ive been using that technique my avg has gone up about 13 pins from 200 to 213
Ernie has a bit of the tism
They gave Schlegel a wireless mic? Why not just give a pyromaniac matches? LOL!
I know, but if u use special finger inserts, (powerlifts, semis, ovals., etc.) he invented most of them, so I'm grateful.
At least Schlegel had toned down the goshawful wardrobe by this time...

generalbullmoose His wife used to dress him up like that though. But yeah, he looks a lot better in polo, pants and new balance sneakers. Went from hippy to total dad vibes.
i dont see any other matche besides duke vs schlegel....
I love the "can't concentrate" comment. Like that is going to determine if a 10 pin carries or not LOL!

Ernie is likely the greatest bowler of all time.
