This 12 min gentle walking workout is created for anyone who is looking for gentle exercise to help to lower blood sugar, improve blood pressure and also improve mood and energy. Gentle exercise is often under-rated and walking after eating helps to manage your blood sugar levels. There are so many benefits to gentle movement that can't always be seen on the outside. You can use this walk to get started with your fitness journey, or to control sugar levels in your body, or simply to get in more steps in your day.

I wanted to write and say thank you to you. I’ve had multiple major life changing and saving surgeries in the past 10 years, next month will be my 10th. Long story, but my point is your low impact videos, your motivational sayings, and you have a special way about you that just gives me the motivation to keep exercising. I have Multiple Sclerosis and need to work on getting some strength and mobility back. Your videos are wonderful for me. I only made it 3 minutes on this one, but I still tried. Tomorrow I may get to 5 minutes. Thank you!

love this. going to do it with some light weights to try strength my arms. I've already done your 30 min fast walk this morning, but your videos just make me want to get up and try them. been doing your workouts nearly a year now and I love them. can't see me ever wanting to stop. thank you for motivating me to get off my bum and start getting fit. I'm 61 this year and I don't think I've been this fit since my late twenties, not to mention the weight I have lost. thank you, you are amazing and I really appreciate the time and effort you put into making these videos ❤.

Thank you for this short morning walk. I really was low on motivation this morning. I did do it with 3lb weights. I followed it with another 10 minute lower body walk and a final stretch. You got me up and moving.

Your timing is matchless! I'm back from a 3-day holiday getaway (during which I substituted laps in the pool for my daily aerobic workout), and my morning's To Do list got totally clobbered! And it feels like "triple digit" HOT! HOT! HOT! outside, so I opted out of my morning walkabout. This short program suited me...right down to the ground! "Every day we decide who we will be by the actions we take". So true! This is a lovely workout thank you Jules. Your channel has made a huge difference to me as a recover slowly (4 years now) from neurological injury from pharmaceutical drug taken as directed. I discovered that life can certainly turn on a dime. But also that the body is amazing, and when treated kindly and allowed to heal at its own pace, it can do so. Good diet, hydration, movement, positive attitude, realistic expectations, kindness to myself and others, fresh air, as low toxin exposure as possible, sunlight, nature. And, where your videos come in, joy of being able to move and dance! I've recommended your channel to lots of my friends. This one is really good because of the few seconds preview of which move is coming up next. I also appreciate the countdowns with each move and the bar time at bottom left. You really are an expert at these videos Jules! Respect.

The joy of being able to work out at home is that you can slow down when you want to, and keep working at it at your own pace. You can also take breaks when you need to and come back into it when you're ready. The key is to just keep trying and return every day to see progress:)

This was perfect for me, and thank you for all the inspiring words throughout the video. Really needed those, as I am trying to recoup strength and mobility. You are right - starting slow and working up gradually is what I need to do. It's hard to take the patient route, even though I know from experience that it really works. I did add in some light weights to some of the exercises when it felt OK. Thank you so much, Jules, for being such a helpful presence.

Hi Jules. Sending you yet another thank you.😃 I use your 10-12 minutes videos as a break from my desk. Even with a sit/stand desk and setting a timer, I find with meetings and deadlines I was still not getting up to move. Now I make sure to do a couple of the short videos. As Ginna said, it's great motivation with your motivational messages, the movement, music and your smiles as encouragement. I appreciated the message in this video that several shorter workouts is just as valuable as one big workout. That makes me feel good as that sometimes the best way to fit them in. Take care.

I'm not a senior, but I enjoy your exercises which I will also be recommending to seniors in particular in my online beginner singer classes. This movement is great for overall body strength for singing. I've searched your playlist, but haven't yet found any exercises set to classical music. Is this something you could possibly do in future? Perhaps some gentle core-strengthening exercises with lovely classical music pieces? I think this would be most helpful for beginner singers, but anyone! I'd love it!! Thank you for your channel!

The first time I recorded it, it was 1233, but then I changed some of the steps in my 2nd recording. On my second take, I forgot to look at the step count before doing other things.😞But, my guess is that it's around the same amount as the first recording.
Hi Jules. Thanks for another great gentle workout. I do these when I am having a bad day. They always get me moving. However, I would still like to know the step value or BPM. I have never had an entirely accurate pedometer, so it's nice to compare it to your published step count. Thanks again.

The first time I recorded this one it was 1233 steps. I wasn't happy with it so I recorded it again but unfortunately forgot to look at my step count before I got busy with my day. But, I'm assuming it's around the 1233 mark. When I create gentle workouts, I usually stick around 120 bpm.

Depending on what level you are comfortable with, I create 3 levels (gentle, beginner and intermediate). Just head to the playlists, and you can find workouts there that will challenge you according to your fitness level in order to see the most benefits. If this is too easy, the beginner or intermediate level might be more beneficial for you for weight loss. I hope that helps.
