Uruguay is very expensive. Worth it, but expensive.
Panama has very little to offer when compared to Buenos Aires. You should have investigated a bit more.
Is there a country where less than what appears to be a blanket amount of $1,500 would be enough to live simply? All channels appear to have this ongoing amt. Ecuador seems a possibility?

Uruguay, no doubt.
It all depends in what cities in Latin America. A beach city and tourist cities are by far more expensive than a medium size city.
Very good video. Please add brief information on how an expat can get the whole process of migrating along with the location. May be you can add a website to visit and understand the process. Also add crime rate in the areas.

Wait a minute, Colombia is cheaper than Panama' and should of been #1, Panama' used to be part of colombia and I think we are in a better economic situation, plus colombia is a bigger and a more beautiful country to explore, I do not agree.👎
good/helpful video. accurate. things do change so does the exchange rate. i was in lima in september 2021 and it was 4.1 to 1. today 3.7 to $1. so if you lived there that is a 10% increase... good luck $1200 a month in chile; maybe somewhere and that can be done outside santaigo and maybe "somewhere". found it expensive and, agree or not, arrogant compared to the rest of south america. it was like we are "chilean" and then "others...

Chile is also cold and highly taxed.
Argentine turn to socialist country since last election, and poverty, violence crimes are become normaly there. They economy at moment are in stand alone mode. So avoid to retire there, I can not go there as tourist, isn't safe.
Brazil is out of the list, but I understand why.

@@gilbertogilberto8033 I live in Brazil and I still have my NBC4 App and access to Neighborhood News which alerts me to ALL the latest Mass Shootings Local Smash & Grab teenage jewelry store crimes, Home Break-Ins, Racially Motivated Crimes, Road Rage and of course that popular School Shooting. I am alerted to them on a daily basis on my I Phone. Guess which Country has Problems.
